  1. Part of why this seventh generation Floridian got out. Love Tampa Bay area but it just outgrew me, particularly on the traffic front. So I made like Oliver Wendell Douglas.
  2. Bulls shot the ball relatively well from the field and the FTL. USF? Shooting well? I must have missed a memo. Plenty to work on but encouraging. I particularly liked what I saw from Reid.
  3. And I have about 12 additional posts on the subject. Mind boggling isn’t it? FREE throw. So we're back here again, eh? The bane of USF MBB fans' existence. Even Dr. Phil couldn't help us with free throws if our lives depended on it...
  4. They had not been running the ball well all day, their offense was particularly bad in the second half (they had been shut out after scoring 31 in the first half) and they were 1/1 on field goals. Still, it worked out, so what do I know.
  5. These calls often leave me scratching my head. I was at Gardner-Webb game this past Saturday. GWU down to UT Martin by 3 points with less than a minute remaining inside the UTM 20 with fourth and 2. I thought the obvious smart play was to kick and go to OT at home. GWU went for it, got it and then scored a TD with 13 seconds left to win. I thought the call was ballsy and worked but was still not the smart decision. Sometimes you eat the bear...
  6. I agree, that call was creative. Catastrophically insane and disastrously executed, but creative.
  7. It will be interesting to see how both these teams close out. Been a very up and down year for both teams. However, I think that while Neers fans may not relish this matchup from a prestige point of view I would suspect they would expect to win. I just wonder if they would trade their coonskin for Bronx Bomber gear this time. I wouldn't mind a 2007 rewind.
  8. I pretty much agree with this. I would like to see some counter motion in the running game. And I have never understood why we have such trouble in the passing game running the slants and drag plays (or stopping them for that matter).
  9. An undefeated season in 2024 means wins over Alabama on the road and Miami at home. No way on god's green earth that USF wouldn't be the highest ranked G5 team and in the 12 team playoff. As much as I bleed the green and gold, label me as an agnostic.
  10. I'm not sure Memphis' near collapse last Saturday against North Texas is helpful to our cause. I suspect the Tigers' coaching staff to have field day with that game film. I just hope our shade of green is meaner this week (e.g., leave the slime at home).
  11. Really don't want to play any bowl at the opponent's home stadium. I don't think Marshall minded. Anyway, it would make winning all the sweeter. Just need USF fans to stampede and storm the ramparts.
  12. Army to AAC is a done deal starting next season. Army brings in more fan interest and more tickets sold for USF than SMU would. SMU fan support just flat out sucks. I know it is a private school & all but they can’t draw flies. Yeah, I know there is a lot of speculation and "fake news," but I think I read that Army to American announcement just about everywhere.
  13. The dirty Myrle, eh? This is one I might even be able to make.
  14. I am at least a fan of their lineup...
  15. And there is this: 2023 Bahamas Bowl to Be Played at Charlotte 49ers’ Jerry Richardson Stadium - ESPN Press Room U.S. ESPNPRESSROOM.COM ESPN Events has announced that the 2023 Bahamas Bowl will be played at Jerry Richardson Stadium on the campus of UNC Charlotte due to ongoing renovations at... Talk about your changing landscape of college football. Who knew I could make a trip to the Bahamas by car in only an hour from my Hickory home?
  16. I think in the modern mindset this is just the next logical extension of NIL. Pay to play and then pay to watch them play.
  17. If you are using the Bulls and SEC in the same sentence, you must be talking about Wall Street.
  18. Huh. I dreamed of Sofia Vergera. That bourbon ain't doing you no good! Are you kidding? It's Sofia who is dreaming of Cousin Reeeeky! She's got some 'splainin' to do.
  19. Apparently, per this Oracle op piece, won't need a large student section and better provide free concessions. OPINION: Bulls don’t have school spirit. Or rent money. WWW.USFORACLE.COM A roaring stadium of rowdy fans, fascinating lectures packed to the brim with eager young minds and lively homecoming events: a picture of the campus experience... I remember when I worked my way through school, lived in a travel trailer with my roommate and cooked all our meals to survive on the cheap. Of course, in those days we walked uphill to and from campus in the snow....
  20. I agree. Be careful not to fall I do the delusion of grandeur trap. Realistically I believe USF to the ACC has the best chance at happening compared to other rumors. Maybe the big 12 if the ACC raids them of a few schools and ACC doesn’t want another Florida school. The big ten a lot of crazy events would have to happen but it is not impossible. SEC is not an option. Besides I don’t think USF is even close to a good fit for those schools. Some here seem to dream of a return to former "glory," so maybe...
  21. If we were to get into a Bowl this year, given current circumstances, I would likely be unable to attend unless it is the Duke's Mayo Bowl. Would love to see Coach Alex get the traditional mayo bath.
  22. Loved it so much went to see it on Broadway with Kelsey Grammer and Douglas Hodge. Won Hodge the Tony for lead actor in a musical in 2010.
