Why didn't I see his name on our possible coaching board?
So you admit you know there is a seperate coaching board? Unbelievable.

tOSU prez Gee (former WVU prez) saying on 97.1 he believes we are headed towards 2 or 3 superconfernces
Just great. 3 superconferences with 2 divisions each which would be, gee, 6 conferences. Kind of where we started, huh?
very punny

Its more about B1G now not interested in UNC, before it seemed like UVA/UNC to split up ACC with VT/NCSt. Now it looks like B1G making a run at ND by going after GT/BC.
Why would ND jump on board because B1G went after GT/BC?

Now that I actually thought about it, those population stats don't actually include the tv market, just the actual population within a city limit. Rookie mistake.

Here is a similar map:
Found this too:
Interesting how the 'unconquered territory' includes schools like Wyoming (I-A), Montana St. (I-AA), Montana (I-AA), North Dakata St. (I-AA) which might have had better football seasons over the past 4 years than Tulane and Memphis.
Actually, is there an issue with adding Wyoming to the Big East/West? Clearly, we would love to add a 'big name' school like BYU or snatch one from another conference. But, since snatching a big name from somewhere else out west isn't likely, lets assume the best of the rest.
Wyoming is a smaller school (~14,000 students) and as you can imagine it is in a small town/TV market. But, would it also add the entire state to the TV deal? It is the oldest and largest university in the state. The population of Wyoming (~600,000) is more than New Orleans by itself (~360,000) and about the same as Las Vegas (~600,000). I have no clue how popular the actual team is.
Anyway, just some more fodder...

I'm sick of people's inability to put proper threads in proper boards.

At this point, who knows if these teams we already have will play as a conference. But, if we are looking for "quality", I would have to say Utah State or San Jose. Those teams over the past 4 years have performed better each year (for the most part).
If you are looking for eye balls for TVs.... UNLV.

I must have bad timing, but I've never arrived on time.
However, I typically park at the Florida Bank right across the street from stadium (across Himes).
-
Would things have progressed any differently if we originally signed the first offer ESPN gave us? Probably not.
So, what happens if the TV deal falls through and Boise, et al back out? Let's say if the BE disbands and the ACC and Big 12 don't expand. Could a new conference form or would USF be sucked into an old conference?

Brett McMurphy â€@McMurphyESPN
ACC presidents issue statement that any reports of schools considering leaving ACC are "totally false"
Every ACC President and Notre Dame attaches name to statement promising committment to league
14 ACC presidents release statement affirming commitment to the ACC. Six of those schools have hopped leagues in the past 10 years.
So, that means we should expect a defection any minute now...

And whose combined TV markets probably doesn't add up to even equal Tulane...
yup

Much better than mine. Thank you.
In neither case is there a Big East on the map... foreshadowing?

Supposedly, Skip met with Butch today at Bucs practice.
-
I'd give a serious look at the guy. Pitt and Rutgers wanted him for a reason last year.
they also didn't hire him for a reason

everyone is monitoring
yeah, I caught on to that.
Yeah, that Debbie chick isn't too happy about Maryland leaving.

Only CSH being fired could this thread have made it to page 3!
What is the latest twitter rumors?

Pros:
Already in town with the Bucs
By the accounts I've heard he recruits well
Good performances at UNC and Miami
(http://www.cfbdatawarehouse.com/data/coaching/alltime_coach_year_by_year.php?coachid=540)
Cons:
"Bigger" teams are interested in him (Arkansas, Tenn.)
Probably going to cost us an arm and a leg
Had wins vacated (academic issues? I don't know the full story)
Taggart named USF coach?
