Eric,
Any word on # of tix sold ?
E.T.
All of them were gone when I got to the ticket office. They said all of the student tickets were gone and SG was trying to get ahold of some more. I was told "check the SG website from time to time and see if they get anymore in."
-
Possibly, but only towards the end of the season (some time before Louisville and West Virginia). But it's mainly just to rank teams just like AP 25.
-
Yeah it will.  They already have the hype, and media attention, plus its rutgers, people are dying to vote for them.  If they are 4-0 they will be in the top 25, regardless of who they beat.
If they are 4 - 0 then they won't be coming to Tampa, because they already beat us.
Well, that would certainly suck. lol

First line is actually out....
USF -1.5
Whose line is that? The over/under is 45 from Pinnaclesports.com
-
Yeah, I agree. There are plenty of people who do not want to lay down $60 + for a Bucs game and decide to watch a USF game instead. 10 or so billboards for the bucs is a lot! It's not like they need them anyhow... What does the one billboard say "160,000 people waiting list!" Give me a break!
-
I'm not sure beating Ohio and Howard is enough to move them up 5 or 6 slots and into the top 25.
That's true. But you have to remember that teams just ahead of Rutgers may lose. Clemson has to play FSU, Penn State has to play Ohio (1), and Arizona State (22) has to play California (21). So, maybe a combination of losses and wins could propell Rutgers and Pitt into the top 25.
-
There is a very good chance of that! Which both good for USF and the Big East.
-
Looks like they are either giving tribute to Texas or they are just rubbing it in against UCF.
I think it's a long shot that they were mocking UCF but throwing up the Bulls, but I think that makes more sense than the Texas Theory.
-
I think the "Golden Showers" was meant for UCF... but, yeah, come on wait until this game is finished before you even bring up the next game (especially when we were down).
What is needed is 4-5 guys with large signs that read "make some noise" and "QUIET!!" I think that would make some difference.

In games past, I've noticed the beef studs try to calm down the loud crowd when we have been on offense. But this was prior to them being so large.
The band on the other hand? I don't know who is in charge of it, but they have to stop. The band is what gets all of the people to cheer who attend the games and don't know any better.

I don't see the Bulls moving to another stadium for a long time. Most certainly I don't see them getting an on campus (or near campus) stadium any time soon.
I don't think it's too much to ask for a billboard (at least during the summer). Or at least a couple of the "bililboards" that Publix has up in the beer aisle. They have those for the bucs.

I keep hearing rumors that there is going to be an actual bull at the game... especially when the teams run out on to the field. Anyone heard anything about that?

Using Ordinary Least Squares Regression and statistics for:
- Ranked opponet
- Points for
- Points against
- Total yards rushed
- Ttotal yards passed
- Third down efficiency
- Defensive interceptions
- Ppenalty yards per penalty
- Total rush yards allowed
- Total pass yards allowed
- Offensive interceptions
I realize that it's not a complete model. But, it should be nice to debate over (like all college football ranking systems).

It is from my understanding that the lower bowl is completely sold out and has been for a weeks. But, I am sure that includes both student sections and does not nececcarily mean it will be full. I tried to buy two tickets on ticketmaster just now and couldn't get anything in the lower bowl (couldn't even find 1 ticket in lower bowl). So, this is by no means definitive, but it's not bad news.
If tonight's game (vs. FIU) has a large crowd, I certainly think we'll see a good contingent of bulls in Orlando.
A new "First Down" Chant/Tradition idea!
in USF South Florida Bulls Athletics
Posted
Has anyone ever been to an FSU game? I never have, but from what I hear the "warchant" is just amazing to see. USF really needs something like that!
As a student, it's hard to get chants going in the student section let alone have them spread to the non-student sections. I think if we can find something easy to do (like the warchant) we can really have a huge home field advantage.
