Hahaha Fire the fans. Most of the fans have already quit or on strike. All due to improper working conditions, no raises, no promotions, fear of job security with the failing business, loss of interest in the position, no confidence in our manager, some with none in the CEO, etc., etc. Show us you want to improve and we will come back as of right now most of us are on strike, some are gone forever. 10 more days to march sadness.

Simple. Woolard said he needed to see signifigant improvement for Mac to return after this year. I dont know how woolard is going to call this year a signifigant improvememt if he decides to keep him around. I guess we will see if he is a man of his words or what his definition of signifigant improvement is. I hope our AD's expectations arent this low, because then we are in trouble for a long time. I have no idea what is going to happen.

Dont have to root against them, just dont have to root for them. I have zero interest in the Tampa Bay bucaneers, never have, never will. Part of the reason is when i moved here no one cared about the bucs and neither did I (rightfully so). But 5 years later there were bucs magnets, flags and peuter jerseys everywhere. It was amazing to me. how does that define ME or a transplant as bangwagon??? It would be bandwagon if i started liking them after they got good like all the natives. I mean the devil rays do suck, when they get good all the locals will go to the games and i still wont. Hence, me not being bandwagon and those people going only because of fair weather are. Right? I thought thats what bangwagon meant.

Well, #15 Southern Illinois is playing #12 Butler on ESPN right now. I dont know what their head coaches are getting paid or what their traveling expenses are but Im sure its not more or much more than what Mac gets. No one is really asking to pay some guy a million a year, i think a lot of us just think Mccullum is flat out just not qualified to field a competitive team in the big east, and so far he has proven that.

When i go away or am In tampa people always ask me where i a from. I say tampa, then i get there is no way your accent is from Tampa and i have to explain originally NY. So i call tampa home but it is conditioned in my accent and way of life I am from new york. If you forget where you come from you will never get where you are going. as for the rant, i mean cmon man if it wasnt for the transplants (from everywhere) florida wouldnt be half the state it is. Half of the little cities wouldnt have jobs or hard roads yet. You should be proud people find where you are from a desireable place to live. A) I choose to live here and I do not support the bucs, rays or lightening and i dont see a problem with that. What you have to understand is that a lot of us transplants have instilled in our memories watching sport with our families. i can still remember watching the 86 Mets win the WS with my Grandfather and how fun it was. I still remember watching the Islanders win 4 stanley cups when i was a toddler and happy it made my father. I remember the Jets being the worst team ever and when people ask who we liked we would say "the God awful Jets". you think i or anyone is going to give up their memories and change their team perference like a flip of a switch. Not a real fan. Life is more than sports, people choose to live in florida for education, employment, weather, family, etc. etc. Not sports. So miniscule I cant see how you can let it bother you. As for college fans, if you attend usf, you are now a part of usf and should give up your old team or support them both. For example, i am no longer a st. johns basketball fan since usf joined the big east, i pay attention but t is a conflict of interest. Anyway its not a big deal.

The fact that these player even have to discuss this makes you know something is wrong. A lot of you pro-mac guys were saying if we dont make the conference tourney, it would be fair enough to say he is gone, now a lot of those guys are changing their minds. But it really does not matter what the players say and Brad you played ball before. No matter how bad your team is, your coach is your coach. Of course you like him and are going to defend him. He gave you a scholarship and a free ride, why would you throw him under the bus. Honestly? plus the 2 guys are macs guys. Buckley loves mac because mac gave him the open trigger. He has never seen a shot he didnt like or been reprimanded for taking bad shots. And chris howard (who i am a fan of) may not have a starting job with a new coach, so im sure he wants him here. all in all it is Woolards choice, if he really said he needs to see a signifigant improvement, im not sure how he can justify this year as that. Again, missing your conference tournament and every other tournament. Fan attendence amazingly going DOWN. No road conference wins (yet). Not trying to be a jerk, but if you honeslty ask yourself if this is a significant improvement, you really cant think yes.

Not in Tampa. True but whose fault is that? I don't know, perhaps you should ask Jose Fernandez that question.  Tampa is a football town, and any past attendance figures have no bearing in today's environment. You cant compare womens basketball to mens. I dont care if usf was top 25 in womens basketball, im sorry im still not going. You also cant compare attendance figures when we havent been good in basketball for over 20 years (thats why no one goes). I guarantee if you put a #25 rank next to usf mens bball in the big east, tampa and usf would quickly become a basketball fan. im not against a dining hall, but i agree with smazza, we can get both.

Is it an unrealistic demand to want to make your conference tournament?  I am so tired of hearing guys get mad people talk negatively about the team.  lke usfgrad said, there is not much else to talk about.  We can all agree gransberry is a great player and plays his ass off night in and night out.  We can agree we improved from the worst team in the big east to one of the worst.  But to say we are in good shape or improving when our attendence and fan support continues to dwindle and we continue to not play in march is absurd.  Mike, come down to tampa and go to a game.  The sun dome was MUCH louder when syracuse went on runs.  Then you want to say there is nothing to complain about?  No one cares and that is a problem for the ones that do.  This university has put its basketball program on the back burner, and so have some of YOU fans, for as long as i can remember.  And we did just joined and big business big time conference and we need to do something about it.  If we have to hire a low profile coach for low pay, so be it, any change can help right now.  We can try to make a big hire and pay the money or find the diamond in the rough.  We lose with Mac at worst we can lose without him.  Enough is enough, we all can agree the program as a whole is in terrible shape and from the looks of it, it will be an uphill battle for mac to get out of.  Time to hit the reset button. What I am saying is that he should know we werent talented enough to make a run at the tournament, especially when the circumstances were we needed to win more than lose our last few games, so save Cann for another year of eligibility. But this is the same guy that during a practice said this team was going to make the big east tournament. Macradamus was wrong again. So trip once again you think we shouldn go with a new coach or a leader? going from 16th in the big east to 14th is a good enough improvement for you? I mean maybe if it was his first year but cmon how patient can you be? How much accpeting of horrenous basketball can you tolerate. i mean i heard the term baby steps but this baby isnt even crapping its diaper yet. I mean you can really say the rest of our games are must wins to get into the BE tourney, but as the coach of a habitual terrible team should know he doesnt have what it takes to coach them there or recruited the talent to get them there, so just save the body (Cann) for an extra year if possible. But Mac is desperate trying to make that impressive conference record look a little bit better. Whatever it takes, even he knows he has one foot out the door. Bench player or not, what if we keep mac around? You know how we need as many bench players as possible with the charming robert mccullum. But hey if cann "wanted" to play, i guess let him do what he wants. I mean if my kid wants to smoke weed, i cant cant say no if he really wants to? cmon, Mac is the coach, the so-called leader. ultimately it his his decision. desperate times call for desperate measures. Like playing a redshirt a few games for no reason or signing any transfer we can get because god knows we cant recruit anyone. Why would we play Cann? Did mac really think we would go on a winning streak and make the BE tournament. i think its a little selfish for him to do so to maybe keep his job. We wasted a year of eligibility for Cann so he can play in a couple of meaningless games. If i were the coach i dont care how adomant you are, this is my team and it does us no good for you to play in our last 5 games and give up a full year, but i think mac is starting to know not even usf may bring him back so do whatever it takes to make your track record look a little better. It will be march and we will all be watching other schools play basketball once again. But hey we improved from the worst team int he big east to one of the worst. Lets get the extension going. This guy needs to be fired. The excuse well has ran dry. time to wake up and get a new leader.

Even if it only took USF 5 wins to get there, they wouldnt get there. I wonder if not being the worst team in the big east and now just being one of the worst team in the big east will be enough improvement to keep mac around? Its time for a new leader
