I have no problem with the Alumni Assoc. or someone doing that. But the Chancellor and Band Director at NCCU were FSU grads. Special case here. I would just rather support our program if funding were to be involved. http://www.nccu.edu/publicrelations/news/501.htm

High School or College, the band sounded pretty good during the game. They were there, I watched the game. I think a couple of school songs is better than the ZERO school song we would get if the HOT doesn't make it. When you don't have a great budget you shouldn't dismiss things so easily w/o exploring them. I didn't "dismiss" it, but its not my call anyway. We would have to pay them anyway, I'd rather support our program. In my eyes, either send our program or SAVE the money and make the program less dependant on rentals and such, so they can afford to attend more trip in years to come. Either way, I'd like us to boost our stuff up before paying for some second rate HS or college band to play a few songs at this point. But, just my opinion.

Where on I-95? Miami/Broward/Palm Beach???? I am going back to Tampa tomorrow, I would like to avoid seeing it... haha... I am impressed by their billboards. We should really throw a few down in South Florida... near those good high schools

besides, like andythebull is saying... everyone with some type of sat or cable gets espn, almost everyone gets espn 2.... NFL network is special order with everything.

Yeah... ESPN is the one place that is telling our story, mostly without bad sports humor... If you go to fox, cbs, etc you get that small team joke bull....

haha... I've had to go to UCF for a few Board meetings... I always wear my USF pin on my suit... AND always get those looks. It feels good... Way to rep!

why not get a local (from Auburn) high school band like FSU did for their NC State game? I've never heard of a high school band being a sub for a college band IN the stadium. Maybe little pep rally things or something, but not AT the game. Besides, you won't get all of the school songs and YOUR band! Thanks for the idea, but I wouldn't do it...

FAU would be a day trip... I bet that happens anyway. Trips out of Florida are when we have to look at additional costs (extra travel days, extra food, extra gas, HOTEL rooms, etc). You never know. The band staff are willing to go where USF or other people pay for!

Did Madden write this? Let's face it... it was was circa 2004. Back when we whoop ECU then... nothing different. None the less, we are bowl champs for the first time. We have time to REALLY make a name for ourselves. This season opened the door. Think of it as leaving our "past" behind us.
