Think of it this way... Hotel rooms for every member + staff / 4 = ~ 62 rooms at sometimes around $200 ea = ~ $12,250 a night lets say two nights (like the bowls) = ~ $24,500 a trip (cut in half for a normal hotel, but those get booked with fans early) Food stipend (~$65) * members+staff (245) = ~ $15,925 a trip 5 Busses at 1,200 a day each for 4 days = ~ $24,000 **PLUS many other misc. expenses I don't know rough numbers for** Examples: rental truck+gas, police escorts, we have to buy the seats at games (really!) Above totals at least $64,425 for a normal trip. Remember the band needs (sometimes) as many as two travel days and the game day. I added an extra day in, for things like bowl games and such (pep rallys the day before, etc). Could be a LITTLE less or A LOT more! This is just based off of what I have seen over the past few years. Nothing above are hard numbers, I don't have that budget! But, it is a good idea of what it costs. Sending the band with the team can cost over $100,000!!!!!! (ha, we need $130,000 for new the uniforms -- see why we can't go everywhere?)
