WOULD YOU GUYS LISTEN TO ME. I'm not on any darn power trip here. I did throw my title in there to prove if they had the video they said they might have, WHICH THEY DON'T, that I would take it to Dr. Banks. Nothing more. This isn't to prove to the police that someone did something wrong, but that maybe we needed extra measures like SITTING on the other side of the darn bowl. No one is going to get punished for photos or video at USF. Sheriff, thank's for being an outstanding member of the USF community.

I'm glad you got to see the game and hope you get to see a few more next year! I'm glad you are getting people to get into the song. We, in the band, love it.

All I want to know is if something as bad as they say REALLY HAPPENED. Why do you care? and don't TELL me what to do and not to do. If I find something horrific, I will do something about it. BUT, I doubt something that bad happened. I REALLY hope it was not the beefstuds... they better hope I don't find anything. People do dumb things when sport games and beer mix, I know.

Thanks man. So far, the spirit squads and band have done a great job building along with the team. I'm proud to say I have been a part of it all for four years. It takes a lot of work and a few good ideas to get what we all have now. I hope we keep it up! Yes. "The Bull" was created by the staff (I believe our arranger) to be OUR "Rocky Top"/"War Chant." I think it works very well. The fans really get into it, and trust me, our members get goosebumps every game from the amount of fans that join in. I only hope more do it next year! (maybe some of those season ticket holders... haha...) GO BULLS!

Youtube has a few videos up now. I saw the ones with the CJL powerade bath and the band in the background. I'm in the band, and I was impressed with the sound so far into the game, after playing so much in the cold! Glad you enjoyed it! GO BULLS!

You know, we have about 300 USF students right now that are like DOGS. When smack on the nose (or shot with a taser!) they stop. Maybe someone should have tasered the idiot with the ECU rhymes with gay sign.

I'm sure we had a few guys (I saw a few) that did retarded things. I'm also sure that ECU had a few guys (again, I saw a few) that did retarded things. Point being: Football team was amazing Band was amazing Cheerleaders were amazing Sundolls were amazing 99.8% of fans were amazing 0.2% of fans were retards with dumb signs Why get your panties in a bunch over a sign that doesn't make any sense? "ECU rhymes with GAY." No it doesn't. Now, I would never wear purple and yellow... but ECU doesn't rhyme wit gay! I'm not saying our fans should carry signs and wear shirts tat have that saying or something even worse. It shows that THOSE FEW fans don't have class. They are getting mad over something 1st graders say! Defensive? Maybe they really don't like the color purple! Besides, everyone knows ECU has a 0% chance at the Big East, even back then. They have a good following, I admit, but the team is a major part of the math problem! I also agree we need to build our fan base (without retards, retard poison should be applyed). I hope that we build that fan base over this next year.

I do agree with the uniforms.... as would (my guess) everyone else. I have spoken to a few people in regards to the bands funding. People are working on it, more than ever. I can't really give you details as of yet, but it is SLOWLY going places. Bottom line, things ARE starting to move now. A few different funding options are being looked at for different funding areas. Everything from the uniforms, to our operating budget, to making us less dependant on rentals. Are you rich? If you have a bunch of money, and would like to throw it our way... I'll always welcome that! It will go to needy places! http://band.arts.usf.edu/donate.htm Better for Alumni parties/watch parties/etc: If you have a gig that you would like to have the Show Band perform at, we do around 10 gigs a term (http://band.arts.usf.edu/sbgigs.htm - will be updated when the spring term starts). The more paid gigs we get the better! For example, the malls pay around $1000 for the show band at x-mas. Just remember, gigs must be done while we are in classes. Can not do anything during the summer due to a lack of members, sorry! E-mail our director at mrobinson@arts.usf.edu if you have a gig that you can pay for! Think of it this way... Hotel rooms for every member + staff / 4 = ~ 62 rooms at sometimes around $200 ea = ~ $12,250 a night lets say two nights (like the bowls) = ~ $24,500 a trip (cut in half for a normal hotel, but those get booked with fans early) Food stipend (~$65) * members+staff (245) = ~ $15,925 a trip 5 Busses at 1,200 a day each for 4 days = ~ $24,000 **PLUS many other misc. expenses I don't know rough numbers for** Examples: rental truck+gas, police escorts, we have to buy the seats at games (really!) Above totals at least $64,425 for a normal trip. Remember the band needs (sometimes) as many as two travel days and the game day. I added an extra day in, for things like bowl games and such (pep rallys the day before, etc). Could be a LITTLE less or A LOT more! This is just based off of what I have seen over the past few years. Nothing above are hard numbers, I don't have that budget! But, it is a good idea of what it costs. Sending the band with the team can cost over $100,000!!!!!! (ha, we need $130,000 for new the uniforms -- see why we can't go everywhere?)
