  1. Baseball officially starts this weekend. Maryland comes to town and they will be a tough test. They are Preseason #13 in the country. Will be interesting to see what our team looks like. I'm not even sure what our starting rotation will look like. Also, Florida comes to town on Tuesday...so it might be a tough start to 2023. Go Bulls!
  2. I liked what I saw from Holden Willis. Would have liked to see him in our new offense. Did I see he went to MTSU?
  3. You can get tickets for both Baseball and Softball and the cost is only $75 total. It's a great deal with so many home games for each team, comes out to about $1 per game. Also Baseball plays Florida early in the season so that game will be a tough ticket. Might as well purchase the season plan and not have to worry about the box office. Go Bulls!
  4. As for the script Bulls on the field, did that happen with a donation from one of the baseball players parents? I know there were discussions about it in the stands last season, although I think they originally mentioned the Iconic U behind the plate
  5. The outfield is still grass. Many of our conference opponents have turf too, (Wichita St, Memphis, Cincinnati, Tulane) come to mind. I especially don't like that the mound, basepaths, and batters box will not be traditional clay but I guess the almighty dollar is the reason for the change.
  6. Turf is going to be in the OCS, I believe it's always been in the plans that have been released
  7. They need to do one per season. Andre Hall, Marquel Blackwell, Kawika Mitchell, George Selvie, and Mike Jenkins just to name a few should all be honored with a bobble
  8. Looks like we open the season at home playing Maryland for 3. I don't recall playing the Terps in baseball in the last 15 years at least. I like the scheduling so far.
  9. We play Pitt at home on 3/7. I searched a bunch of different schools and so far have only found this game
  10. Good job finding this. I can't remember ever going out West for a prominent opponent. I think we might have played a home and home with Oklahoma State before our new ballpark was built. I remember seeing them at the old Red.
  11. Great Win! Fun atmosphere in the Yuengling Center tonight. Aside from the free tickets, thanks again Brad, the highlight of the night when they started playing Sweet Home Alabama on the sound system towards the end of the game. Nice to finally see a victory after all of these football losses! Go Bulls!
  12. Yep I got them! Thanks Brad, I'll be sure to yell extra loud for you!
  13. I just attempted to buy these. Not sure if it worked or if they were still available at the time
  14. Great player. Outstanding career at USF...I pretty much witnessed all of the games. 2 hits in his first MLB game too! Way to go David!
  15. Hes dominating. Could have 2 more wins from earlier in the season. Nice they gave him some support today. I'm guessing Verlander will start the All Star Game as his numbers are similar. Has one more win and the key factor is the Houston Manager Dusty Baker is coaching the American League
  16. A bit early for Cy Young talk, but he has a really good shot at not only being selected but starting the All Star Game. Depends how he does in his next 3 starts and if he pitches the Saturday or Sunday prior to the All Star Game.
  17. Way more places now have stuff. Walmart, Target, Bealls and even Sam's Club has shirts, etc. Back in the early 2000s it was really slim pickins
  18. Loved Craig's store, but it didn't survive the consecutive bad years of Holtz and Taggart, before we got better. There was another Bulls store on Busch from a long time ago that went out of business. Maybe 2010 or so. I remember going there when they slashed prices to 50% off
  19. Trying to get to the Temple game. I heard they might do an official tailgate for that one too. Just depends on the season and the fan interest
  20. I think we'll have more players enter the portal. I thought Keanu would take Nick's SS job prior to season, but for whatever the reason he just didn't do it. All are replaceable in my opinion. Bottom line is we need better players and I think we will either get them this year or Billy needs to be gone. We should always be competitive in our league and we weren't even close this year. Last year we weren't very good either, but got hot in the AAC Tourney and the Regionals. Look at the 2017 squad with Kingston, 3 of those pitchers are in the show and a couple more position players are knocking on the MLB door. Gotta get better and it starts with the players.
  21. Would be nice, but see him ending up at FSU or Miami
  22. It has to be. I can't recall any. What a night for both of them. Of course the Rays blew Shane's victory. He should have 5 now and only has 2 to show for it
  23. I'll be going to the Temple game in November. Hopefully that game means something fir us at that point in the season
