  1. Another bad performance by the baseball squad tonight vs previously winless Dartmouth. We were outplayed in every facet of the game. Bulls are now 5-12 and the seat might be getting hot for CBM. This is the one part of the schedule where we need to rack up 4 or 5 wins in a row. Well 5 is out of the question now. If we only win 2 or 3 of the 5 vs Dartmouth and Army then we might really need to consider making a change at seasons end. This team isn't any better than they were last year. I think we're actually worse honestly. We'll see what team shows up tomorrow as the next 5 games are must wins. Go Bulls
  2. Needed this one. Now 5-11, need to win all 5 of the games this week vs Dartmouth and Army. We'll see where we are in a week
  3. Ugly game, only 2 hits. Pitching bad again for the most part and 3 errors to go along with it. Is it possible we could fire our football coach, men's basketball coach, and baseball coach all in the same year? It's beginning to look very possible as this season gets deeper. 4-10 to start isn't a great sign
  4. Fridays game has been postponed for snow in Long Beach, CA. Will be played as part of a doubleheader on Sunday. Go Bulls!
  5. Finally got some pitching tonight and did just enough with the bats. Hudi was the star on the mound going 6 strong. Tanner Mink had 2 more good innings and Riley Skeen picked up the save in a scoreless ninth. Offensively the Bulls didn't do much. Our first hit was with 2 outs in the 5th. An inning later we were able to scratch 2 runs across on a Bobby Boser RBI single and then a John Montes RBI sac bunt. We had chances in the 7th and 8th but were unable to capitalize. Much needed victory for the baseball team as they now go to Long Beach State this weekend.
  6. This one ain't on Billy. Anyone that saw this game live knows that drop by 33 changed the entire game. That being said we should probably be 2-8 aside from a miracle 7 run 9th in Gatorville. Pitching is an issue. I've said it all year and tonight was no exception
  7. My take is the SS has to catch that ball. I rated the degree of difficulty a 4 out of 10. As for the CF, I think we were in no doubles defense but he got a bad jump on it too. Not sure it would have mattered. I've seen all but 1 game this year either live or on tv and he's had a few balls drop like that. I think he's a better corner outfielder, but that might be a different discussion. Need to take 2 of 3 this weekend vs Northeastern. Go Bulls, Beat Huskies!
  8. Saw him play alot at USF. Great player and hoping he keeps it up in the big leagues. He zoomed through the minors pretty quickly so that's a good sign.
  9. By the way, did anyone see Grause vomit on the mound in the 3rd? He was struggling before it happened and you would think he'd be taken out of the game but CBM left him in (only to give up a 4th run) and then pulled him to start the 3rd. Really questionable move to keep him in after throwing up on the mound.
  10. Pitching again. No innings from our starters aside from Mink so that really taxes a bullpen that isn't that deep. We're not going to score 8 per game, so this is a real problem for CBM...what happened to the Arm Farm?
  11. We must be. There are cameras on both dugouts as well as behind the plate and in CF at the Red. At least there were last wkd
  12. Terrible coverage with just the view from high above home plate, but love the result. Pitchers were great tonight. Need to win the series with Hudi on the mound
  13. Great comeback in the 9th. This team has issues, but it's nice to steal a win from the Gators anytime we can. Mayo needs to do more of this for us to have any chance this yr in finishing in the top half of the conference
  14. Maybe so, only time will tell. I'm just not impressed so far.
  15. Tough night. A close 2-1 ballgame turned into a 6-1 laugher in the 9th. A few thoughts: Jack Cebert pitched well. Ethan Brown pitched well. Riley Skeen pitched well but CBM left him in too long and it cost him with 2 solo homers. Mink 24 scares the he'll out of me as our closer. Offensively we didn't do anything aside from scoring in the 1st on a gift of an errant routine throw. We would have been shutout tonight without that error. No hitting whatsoever. Scary part was we were down 1 in the bottom of the 8th with our best hitters up and we didn't look like we wanted to swing. Brutcher takes a 3rd strike on an off speed pitch. Boser is up 3-1 and takes 2 fastballs right down the middle for the strikeout. Brodil then goes down quickly. If these guys aren't producing we're sunk. Coach has some work to do. Let's see how we do at FAU this weekend, but it's not looking very promising to me at this point
  16. Boser is our SS and Cantu is now our 1B. I would put Rivera as our C for defense, doesn't bring much offensively. Seems Rosenblum doesn't really have a position but he gets on base so he's my DH by default. Seems Montes is our 2B but you might get an occassional start from Rose here. I think you'll see Brodil and Ruiz split time in LF in a platoon type situation. Sankovich is our 3B, Butcher RF, Mayo CF. Bench is Monque, Luethner, Snow (until he gets on track) and the rest
  17. I can't make it to the Bulls vs Gators baseball game tonight, so I have 2 tickets available for a Bulls fan that can make it. Game time is 6 PM and it will be a pretty big crowd so you might want to get there between 5 and 5:30 at the latest to get a seat. Let me know who wants them. Go Bulls!
  18. I think there is too much lineup changes, especially after a Win in opening night. Not sure why this move was made yesterday but Snow pinch hit for Mayo with a righty on the mound. Snow struck out as he's struggled so far. His spot came up later in the game in a pretty big spot where Mayo could be a difference. Again Snow made an out. I don't think Mayo was hurt but it was a strange move to me considering he was our leadoff hitter in the opener.
  19. Was hoping to steal one game from Maryland, so it's a success. Would have been great to get a second win after winning on Friday, but it didn't happen. Back at it tomorrow. Word around the camp is Jack Cebert is getting the ball Tuesday night. Go Bulls!
  20. After seeing 3 games live pitching is definitely an issue. The starters did ok at times but none of them even lasted to the 5th. Hudi probably pitched the best out of all 3. The bullpen has some arms but depth isn't great. Sankovich was the most consistent hitter all weekend, followed by Cantu. For us to win were going to need Mayo, Brodil and some others contributing. The young batters looked overmatched, hopefully they get better and quick. UF will probably hammer us in 2 games. I'm really interested how the FAU series plays out. That might be a good measuring stick. Go Bulls!
  21. What a night at the ballpark. Huge crowd. Offense had some huge two out hits. MVPs were Bobby Boser with 2 home runs and 4 RBIs and Travis Sancovich with a pair of two out hits. Boser's first dinger was also with 2 outs and he crushed it. This dude has big power and can hit fastballs...curveball are a different story. Sancovuch had really good at bats all night and made 6 or 7 plays at 3B. Pitching is going to be an issue. Tanner Mink struggled with his control and it cost him in the 8th. Gave up a Grand Slam to make it a one run game, but he was able to settle down and get out of a real jam in the 9th. Crowd was great all night. One of the best atmospheres I've seen at the Red in 12 years. Let's get another Win tomorrow! Go Bulls!
  22. Yep, hoping for the best as Maryland looks to be a pretty good team. Winning 2 out of 3 is always the goal each wkd series but 1 might be good for this team against this opponent. Let's win tonight and see what happens the rest of the wkd. Also for those who don't have season tickets, single games cost $10. Go Bulls!
  23. Hunter Mink is the Friday starter, Nolan Hudi will start Saturday and Austin Grause gets the ball on Sunday. Should be...interesting to say the least. Hope they learned alot in the offseason
  24. I'll be there Friday and Saturday for sure. Not sure about Sunday yet, I'll see how the first 2 games go before making a decision. Season tickets are only $75 and it gets you in both baseball and softball
