  1. LOL I get this question every time there's an away game and I'm not there. Our spirit program is comprised of 40 cheerleaders and only 8 cheerleaders travel to each away game. We divide the away games up between the 2 squads, so Allgirl traveled to Kansas, UNC, and U of L. Coed traveled to UCF, Cincy, and WV (since UCF was close by and travel was by bus, all the cheerleaders for coed got to go). I traveled to UNC and Louisville....coed was in WV. I probably would have tried to go to the game this weekend on my own but Allgirl had to cheer women's basketball today and also tomorrow.
  2. Brittany Link (GurlyBull) just informed me that a bunch of students are heading to the athletic facility to meet the team at approx 9:30 when the buses return. I would suggest doing this instead of going to the airport because the guys won't even enter the airport- you won't get access to the team as they will go straight from the plane onto the buses (this has been my experience every time traveling with the team)...so don't waste your time going to the airport...meet them at the facility
  3. Gosh I'll never forget seeing that hit...what an amazing person to have overcome all that!
  4. I'd like to keep WV and UL mid-later on the in the season because it gives our team a better chance to come together, plus it allows them to peak around the same time that we have the bowls. Next year we REALLY need to capitalize on having them at home.
  5. that's sooo cool that you're gonna do that...I love it!!
  6. omg that's horrible...I hope his family is doing alright. My prayers are with all of them
  7. Don't think it made a difference...our guys always take a game against louisville very seriously. They prepared hard for this game cuz they knew if they'd won, they had a shot at the Big East.
  8. Hey...I know there are some HOT people that come on here. Lemme just say that you guys totally blow U of L's band out of the water. They hardly played, weren't loud at all, and they were very generic and vanilla. 85% of the music from the game was done by the stadium's sound system (ya know, hip hop tunes, etc) You guys had much better style and just overall are a lot more crowd effective. Their music was just blaring background noise.
  9. I'm gonna be honest here....this season has COMPLETELY blown away my expectations. I, for one, thought our offense was in some serious trouble when Andre Hall left. These young guys stepped up to the plate and delivered beyond my wildest imagination! I knew our D was gonna be solid, but that offense- losing so many of those stellar offensive lineman and Andre Hall- it really had me worried. These guys and the coaches have done an INCREDIBLE job! And it's only gonna get better from here!
  10. I called this one too...I knew lady luck would run out eventually. I don't see them winning against WV either. Idk...just my prediction. Also, I was really glad Cincy got their due because they are a pretty darn good football team, despite what their record indicates, but hey those losses were all to ranked teams.
  11. yeah I'm making the trip back up again in 2 weeks...altogether with tax I got a southwest flight for $170 round-trip. But yeah the Ponton family was HILARIOUS! God I love them!! Definitely kept things exciting and helped us out a LOT making noise!
  12. Aww did you see my mom and dad (George and Kathy?) They go to all the away watch parties there!
  13. Well I've had bragging rights for the entire year after we humiliated them in our house...he still gets mad when I bring it up...like really mad lol.
  14. Wish they would have mentioned the USF cheerleaders We went to Mitchell Middle School in Plant City to talk to 2 classes about what it means to be a college athlete and to encourage kids to stay in school. It was particularly special for me, having overcoming a learning disability, to talk to the special needs students.
  15. LOL I wanna know what other Bulls' fans superstitions are! Here are mine: -There are 3 songs that I consider to be good luck, but in order for them to be truly lucky, I must hear them on the radio the day of the game, preferably on my way to the game- Sublime's "What I Got", "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" by Kenny Chesney, and "Lips of an Angel" by Hinder. My 2 personal best games cheering (Rutgers and UConn), I heard all 3 on the radio in both 20 min car rides to the stadium! -I absolutely MUST drink an Advant-edge low carb coffee protein shake- half before the game, half at halftime. It just needs to be done. -We've won every game that I haven't worn my dark green contacts! -Right shoe on always before left -Must call mom before the game- this is an absolute MUST. I'm convinced she has manipulative powers over a game's outcome. I've witnessed this numerous times during Bucs games over the last 5 years in which she's called a "we need an interception" or "we need a pick" only to have it happen 2 minutes later. She was known to do this in high school a little as well. -If it's an away game or a game I'm not cheering, I must watch the ENTIRE game or I can't watch it at all. (the two away games I didn't cheer this year that I did not attend- Kansas and Cincy, I had either practice or a project that night and didn't get a chance to watch the game until after the 1st half- we lost both and played terribly in both). The same thing happened when my bf Matt's team (U of L) played Rutgers...(I had practice that night). -I think that's it. I also am convinced my 16 year old FIV-positive, arthritic and diseased-coloned cat Mister is good luck too. If I go home to see my parents, I have to give him a big kiss on his nose (he's got no fur there from all the cat fights he used to get into...hehe) God I'm weird!
  16. Great to hear some of you guys are coming! I'll be there! =)
  17. They won't acknowledge us for the sheer fact that they KNOW a sleeping giant is in the backyard...well actually, not so sleeping anymore. They're still in denial..FSU and Miami already know. It's been happening the last few years now. Their talent pools have gotten smaller cuz we get a lot of their recruits
  18. Yeah, he's actually from Oregon, but you guys do have a lot of players from Florida. But a lot of homegrown boys too, like Bush and Brohm. And Urrutia too? Isn't he from the Louisville area as well? Thanks for the props to our team...I always root for you guys too, when we're not playing you all of course! Glad you enjoyed your trip to Florida and will come back next year! You all travel very well! And yeah, speaking of that terrible weather- I gotta go to the store right now and get me a USF beanie or something! It's gonna be FAAA-REEEZING!
  19. Your starting longsnapper #51, Matt Webb! =) It'll be his senior game...I can't wait. Of course I'll be rooting for my team this weekend, but in 2 weeks, I'll be rooting for him!! He wants me to wear his jersey though...still not sure about that one! I did wear a U of L shirt the day after ya'll beat Miami though! (gasp) hahaha...I haven't had real pizza in 5 years (I'm not talking south beach diet kind) so I figured, hey why not have some where the good stuff came from (Papa Johns!) So if I don't get some this weekend, in 2 weeks I most def will! Ya'lls stadium looks so beautiful on tv, can't wait to see it in person! Thanks so much!! =)
  20. No idea- they paid for all of us to go last year, but not sure about this year. Typically when we go on trips we incur not out of pocket expenses. It's not really about all the cheerleaders going to the game- it's more about the issue of space on the field. We had the allgirl & coed cheerleaders and the sundolls all squeezed into a tiny spot on the field last yr for the bowl! lol
  21. Yeah...I'm gonna be freezing my buns off!! But really excited...it'll be my first trip to KY. I'm actually gonna be going back up there in 2 weeks for the final game vs. UConn (sr day)
  22. haha I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you feel old!! And yeah you better believe I've been dying to go to that game! My number one team (USF) playing my #2 team (U of L)...as long as everyone knows I'm rooting for the Bulls all the way! About posting on here- maybe I'm just an internet nerd, idk. I get really into football and stuff, I'm just a pretty diehard usf fan in general. I went to all the home football games for 2 1/2 yrs before I ever put on a Bulls uniform, so that may have something to do with it- I've been following usf sports for a long time. But yeah, it'd be nice to get some of my teammates to post on here. I know of two cheer alums that are guys that post on here a lot!
