Hey...I've made a comment about you on this board that I'd like to appologize for, in regards to you using your "celebrity status" to "detract from your school's football team."  I didn't know much about you when I made that comment...just that you had big boobs, dressed like a cowgirl, and made it into the front row of the student section at Florida State games...I no longer believe the things that were said are true.  I would like appoligize for that remark, and say that as a student and fellow spirited Bulls fan, I appreciate the publicity you are giving our team, and I appreciate the support you've brought to our games...I never got to talk to you at the games but from what I've heard, I'm sure you're a sweet girl. While USF certainly doesn't have the big name that FSU does, it's nice to see that the hard work of our team and of our dedicated fans hasn't gone unnoticed.  I hope you had a good time and that you'll attend more of our games in the future.  Thanks again for your faith in our young team. ÂÂ

Oh that was you!! Haha...that was so funny. This just further illustrates what an internet nerd I am =) hehehe...I'm glad you said hello. That section was so much more entertaining than ever before, between Reaper's big hand, Zonald, you saying hello, and group of about 20 obnoxious teenage boys sitting in the 3rd row making us all a sign that said "We think you're hot" LOLOL...it was a fun game. My parents will be going to the watch party at Lee Roy Selmon's at Tyrone Square Mall so I could send a few with them? Kevin- Glad your calendars arrived safely! Hope you enjoy! Thanks for everyone's support on those...we are doing soooo much better than last year with those!

Thanks guys! I really gotta get you all to meet my parents. They sit over by where the team runs out...my mom always has about 5 different glittery signs for the games with my name and my teammates all over them. She gets a little sign happy. They've been going to the away game watch parties over at Lee Roy Selmons in St. Pete...mom just started coming early to the games to tailgate so we're gonna have to try and get her out to meet all you folks. She's just like me...real spirited lady, takes her football very seriously. My Dad...well he came late to the UConn game cuz he wanted to watch the Florida game really bad, and he accidentally made the mistake of wearing red polo shirt to the Louisville game last year...but...that's okay cuz it's the thought that counts and there aren't many cheerleader Dads out there, and well, sometimes his ADD makes him oblivious to the fact that he wears the opposing teams colors to games! lol The Bulls Pen...meet Mom and Dad, parents of 2 (well soon to be 2) USF graduates: (If you see them at games...say hi. My Mom gets real excited when she makes new friends at the games lol) Mom was so excited when she made it onto Scout.com lol The REAL #1 cheerleader!!

I'll be on the field cheering, if that counts? My parents were gonna try to get to this one but now I think they're gonna fly out to the Louisville game instead.

I made a facebook invite for students and have gotten a little over 300 RSVPs but some of those include cheerleaders, football players, etc. I say why not shoot for it...attendance has been disappointing this year, but I think we should take this challenge and run with it. Bring your neighbors and your friends...convert some Bulls fans! I know quite a few people who are driving down from UF and FSU, and who attend HCC that plan on coming. We need to get people more involved in day games.

Thanks Zonald...def would love to see them! Now was it me or did your section seem a lot more lively this game? Normally that section is the dead zone and it's always pretty hard to get people fired up over there and yelling with us for our cheers (with the exception of you and the Reaper and you guys' friends though...you are always a lively bunch) It was great seeing you at the game! Mike- That'd be awesome! My parents aren't able to make that trip so I know they'd appreciate it!! =) Can't wait for the game...hope we can bring a win home!

Thanks Mike!! I absolutely LOVE that pic of our team! The girls are gonna love it too! Thanks so much for taking the time to do that. We got a lot of gals whose families are from out of state (on allgirl alone we have gals from Alabama, Arkansas, NC, Conn, Virginia, Germany, New York) so I know it means a lot to them to have someone taking pictures of them while they're cheering so they can send them back home! =)

Yeah I couldn't agree more with you guys and I'm really glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. I was downright appalled when I heard fans booing.

Good= Stellar offense putting together 2 solid drives that ended in TDs in what, like the 1st 6 min of the game? Also, special teams much improved...way to go Benzer (FINALLY). While there has been some talk of the student section not being as strong I thought the alumni sections and the "general" seating sections rocked out...we had some really enthusiastic fans in those seats and it was really nice to see. Bad= Fans leaving early...no matter what, you should stay to support your team...I've said it before and I'll say it again. I equivocate this to leaving church early. It's a sign of disrespect (unless of course you have cranky children who need to get to sleep, physical ailments, stuff like that)...also, UConn's pure vanilla offense Ugly= Fans booing Julmiste, and those 3 spots I threw up in at halftime...still not sure where that bug came from but I don't think it's entirely went away

AMEN to this thread. Couldn't agree more. Pat is a VERY respectable guy...a true leader on that team, even if he's not starting on the field. His leadership has really been his strongest point this season. He's constantly pumping those guys up on the sideline, and he sets an example for the others to follow with his work ethic in the weight room and on the field. Not to mention he is DRUG and ALCOHOL FREE...our guys need somebody like that on the team. But yeah...nothing would wreck my confidence more than to have my OWN team booing me!

I think marketing is doing a pretty good job marketing the games to the community....billboard with the Beef Studs (even though it's TBT...still great exposure), tv and radio commercials, newspaper advertisements...what else is there?

No it was our turn to redeem ourselves after they partially ruined out BCS chances last yr (no telling if a win against them would have given us the momentum we needed to win WV, setting up a prime time game) and also we needed the confidence after such close games with Rutgers and Kansas!

When we aren't playing them, I wear my red shirt and throw the L-sign up for the 'ville!!

What about John Romano or Gary Shelton????

Oh thank the Lord he's alright! This is the first I had heard of this and it was freaking me out...he's a friend of mine but I hadn't talked to him for a few weeks. So glad to hear he's gonna be ok!!

Thanks for the nice words...you guys brought a load of spirited fans with you and it was a great game. A disappointing one for us, but I think our guys learned a lot from it and they will only improve from here on out. Congrats on your team's successes this season. Go Big East!
