  1. Time to start looking at their depth chart and see what they bring back next year . . .
  2. They're flat out good. Going from 0-12 to what they are now, as fast as they have, is remarkable. You just have to tip your cap.
  3. Easy, big fella! Not quite yet, but I think we all can see the light at the end of the long dark tunnel we've been living in.
  4. I can't say I agree that they've gotten better every game, but I'm completely with you on the rest. We have our first team worth following since Heath's NCAA team.
  5. He was tough. Wonder if any kid these days would be willing to take on that kind of role. You have to check your ego and just grind every possession. Those guys did that and they were so valuable - with no headlines.
  6. For sure, but they'll have to earn it. For those that remember, the Sun Dome is a BIG home court advantage when it's rocking.
  7. In our rare NCAA Tourney years we had a guy who sacrificed offense and was the dedicated defensive stopper on the other team's best scorer: Bobby Russell during the Paschal years and Hugh Robertson for Heath. We could use another guy like that. Every game, we have a dude on the other team post a career high.
  8. It would really be great if those creating "memes" knew some grammar and spelling.
  9. Bottom line: In a rivalry game where we had absolutely nothing to lose, we ran a conservative game plan, took no chances, tried nothing unusual. This was a let-it-all-hang-out opportunity. Wasted.
  10. We never can put things together. If memory serves, wasn't last year's team one of the best FT shooting teams in school history?
  11. B: Although I will always admire and very much appreciate the job Jim did for us - pretty incredible really - you know I was very much on the front lines during those days. I spent a good amount of time around him and Jim was - and probably still is - a real jerk. There's no way to get around that. When the story that led to his demise came out, none of us who had been around him were even a little surprised, that's for sure.
  12. Yep, get it to a guard - just not Rideau. I really hate that guy's game. Thank goodness he goes down the bench next year when Dawson takes over at PG.
  13. Totally agree. That's all they're built to run and I would seriously doubt they hire a coach that will run that system.
  14. So sloppy. They've taken a step backwards since the tournament.
  15. Leavitt was consistently outcoached by Randy Edsall and Greg Schiano
  16. I'm good as long as Gilbert is on the unemployment line. I'll give Charlie a little longer leash, but there's no room for error from here on out. Put up or shut up.
  17. Yes. We'll be up and down all year. I actually think that small, guard-oriented teams like this are the ones that will give us the most trouble all season.
