Sheriff, USF will never be the rival of UF. UF has only two real rivals, UGA and FSU. Even UT is not a "rival" of them. There is a difference. When you enter the President's skybox at FSU, there is a mural on the wall. It shows a FSU defender tackling Spurrier. On every Gator jerser, on the front were the words "You can't win" (something like that) USF could beat UF 10 years in a row, they won't be your rival.

Bien, your opinion means nothing.  For that matter, neither does Leavitt's.  Hill said he has not talked to the USF coaches and said he will not.  He is only talking to Miami.  What are you going to do, call him.  I am sure he will take your call, LOL.

Maybe the reason you are about to enter the list is the two wins are not very impressive.

It started before the game with the USF team jumping the logo. I don't understand the whole thing, but you don't piss off the other team when they are much better. Gibson was talking trash on the first kickoff. Maybe if he worked on his game as much as he works on trash talking, he might improve. Jim is losing control of this team and it goes back into the off season.

mazza I completely agree with you, #19, Gibson is a punk.  This kid is going to cost USF bigtime if he does not grow up. Not sure why he talks so much, he was toasted most of the night. If not for some very favorable calls, he would have been flagged almost every time he was near the ball.

Jamie, you were abused on natioal TV. All that hype USF received over the past two years is gone and the play by play guys were trashing you on the field. One good note, it was Friday night and the highschool kids did not see how bad USF is.

Running the same play up the middle four times, they did not have to do that.

Those of you that actually think SOS would come to USF don't know SOS. He is a Gator first, you have to understand that. He will not coach in the same state as his school. He will not tarnish his image at UF, it is one of the most important things to him. The reason he will go to Texas is because he won't have to play UF unless its a bowl game,

Jewbull, its gonna get worse for you.  Unlike USF, UCF stared on one senior on offense last night and that was at WR, where we are stacked.  For that matter, UCF only stared one junior too.  On defense, UCF only started two seniors on defense last night. On the flip side, what does USF have, seven seniors on both sides, most of them on the lines.  Sorry there JB, it does get worse.  Wild, sorry to tell you , but you are more then a QB away.  Your vaunted defense got abused by Army, that was not Oklahoma you played.  That was Army that almost got 500 yards of offense on you.  That was Army that scored 22 points in the fourth quarter.  That was Army that sacked your QB 4 times.  No guys, you are not one player away, you have to recruild like UCF is doing now.  Its going to get worse for USF, you just need to accept it.

Stop your dreaming, SOS will never coach another Florida school but UF. He is a Gator to death and would never go head to head with UF, so close to Gainesville. Besides, SOS will be heading to Texas by years end.

Maybe it was the 45 points that NW put on them. Maybe it was the 45 that USF put on them, but most likely it was the 70 that TTU put on them. Simply put, they are the worst defensive team in all of Div 1 football.

Been gone for a few days so I have to respond to this by UEI about getting a three star QB: Wow, UCF got one once.  We've gotten like three in the past three months.  And, if I'm not mistaken, Denson is a 4 star. First, Denson won't be a QB at USF, he will get a shot because he was promised, but the guy could not even break the top 5 at Auburn.  Now on to UEI's other moronic part of the post. Rivals.com rated him the No. 8 at quarterback in the southeast Now UEI, three of those four are on the team and two still have three years.  I think we have done quite well at QB.

ET just maybe UCF was not going after him, have you considered that.  Other then that, it sounds like a great catch.  Don't be so happy though, look for your Lakeland kid to commit elsewhere.  QB is the one position where they keep track of each other. Oh and just noticed that he is a three star QB, UCF got one of those a couple years ago, without BCS ties. I also noticed that Miami was the only school he was high on, yet he turns them down. Stay tooned.

UEI, you were wrong on everyone. Not to relive the Fisher thing, even though he is still a bull, you were wrong on the insurance, you were wrong on the pell grants. Not sure what argument you are talking about in reference to tax and pell grants, not me. I said he could not get a pell grant if he was on probation, that is a fact. UEI, you have nothing but pure facination with me. You want to be me so bad it kills you. But maybe, someday, you could go to UCF, although, you would probably fail the FCAT like most at USF.

Got news for ya UEI, he did not turn down anyone considering he is a highschool junior. By the time he can sign a letter of intent, who the hell knows what is going on. A junior verballing is a cry for attention.

Nice, but since the kid has not been on an actual recruiting trip, I would say its worthless. Onces he is wowed by Michigan, ND, USC, LSU and the like, then we shall see what he truely thinks of USF.

Bien, it was pointed out by CP that he was not going to start. He was behind a Sophmore on the AU depth chart. All that aside, the kid is a great athlete, he will find the field somehow.

From an outsiders point of view, I read Hollis's sales pitch to USF. He concerned me, he seem to want to whore himself out to Nike. It appeared to me that he thought that the AD job is to market USF. While I think an AD's job should entail marketing, he seemed to want to put all his eggs into the "Nike" basket. Posing with the Redwings, I mean, I just got a sense that it was more about him then it was about USF. I think USF did good by not going with him.

Is Hollis the guy that said USF needs to align themselves with Nike?
