  1. "STK If you continue to post and bash us on THIS site, you will be suggested to leave and be banished to the UCF site. There is no call for bashing on the BULLS board. Save your insolent dribble for the other site. The Reaper " Bash, where was I bashing? Do you celebrate public intoxication?
  2. How can we drink legally if there are no open containers? We'll just have to drink on the trip to Orlando! I remember going to a game two years ago and getting absolutley wasted! Looking forward to one of those moments again! Matt and Reaper... let's get our drink on! Anyone else going that is in the mood to do some mad heckling? I've already taken the night off and will be leaving from school approximately at 3:15 PM! I have room for one more with plenty of televisions to watch for the ride to Mickey Mouseville... split gas and beer... must not be afraid to be obnoxious! The Sheriff How about getting thrown out twice, were you ready for that?
  3. Mike, I agree with most of what you say. Where i disagree is that you think its OK that the USF police department cut him a break, I don't think they did. The break was what happened after the booking, why was it changed from an arrest to a detainment. Truely its not that big of a deal, you are right, its a USF issue. Take it from a fan of a school that allowed a special player to get away with rules other could not. It killed the team and the coach, its a cancer when all the athletes are not treated evenly. I would say the biggest problem si the message it sends to Fisher himself. I hope he does not think that because he is a special athlete at USF, he can get away with breaking the law. After this year, chances are Brian Fisher will be just another ex football player that did not get a degree when he had the chance.
  4. Mike, the Hillsboro County records show two different bookings, each with different booking numbers. Each booking is for a different reason, and are on different dates. I won't provide the link because to me it gets more personal when you see the information on there. If you want to see it for yourself, do a google search, its not to hard.
  5. Newspapers may be wrong, but the USF student newpaper, Tampa Tribune and St. Pete times all wrong, I don't think so. Also, even it the newspapers are wrong, what about the State records that are public record. That clearly states what happened.
  6. Drag this kid down, are you kidding me. He is a deadbeat dad who has walked away from two kids. He has NEVER paid a dime to them, don't preach to me about "THIS KID." The rule is not the issue, the missing arrest records are. As for what I do, its not to difficult to find the truth here, better yet, its not to difficult to find out what the USF police did. That is why it will come out.
  7. Hey, I want Brian to graduate, I hope he makes it in the NFL so he can take care of his kids. I am glad he is not in jail and I wish him no harm. The problem is he was to serve a two game suspension if he was arrested. The first of which would have been against Pitt, at Ray Jay. Now every account says he was arrested and according to the the USF student newspaper, it was the USF police that arrested him. According to the Hillsboro County Jail, he was arrested by USF also. Now it magically changed according the USF, but not Hillsboro County. You want to defend Brian, fine, but why is he being treated different then everyone else, maybe because he is USF's best player? Either way, I am not attacking Brian, I am attacking a program and school that is rewarding a father that turned his back on two kids.
  8. Howie, its not a civil matter, its a state matter. Every article, including those from USF clearly state he was arrested. Do a little research, you will find that Fisher was booked on 3/22/04 at 7:53. If you read the booking report, which is public record, you would see that on the Hillsboro County report, it shows that the charge was Contempt of Court, and WAS ARRESTED by USF Police. Now that is on the Hillsboro County booking report. I won't put the booking number here because its not apprpriate, but you can't be booked into a County jail unless you are arrested. Other wise, its false imprissonment. You can laugh about this all you want, but the records are out there and it will come to light how the arrest record at USF magically disappeared.
  9. "Come to think of it, UCF is the only D1 school in the state of Florida to fire a head coach the past 10-15 years, and they have done it twice within 10.  Things must be going well in otown. " Wrong, UF fired two coaches in two years.  Gary Darnell and Galen Hall, both fired in 1989. STK - How did he get preferential treatment from USF Police?  If there was a warrant (can you provide some evidence of that) it was not issued by the USF Police. The warrant would not have been issued by USF, but by the Pensacola Police Department, where the crime occured.  Note as follows: According to the USF arrest report, Fisher was wanted by officials in Pensacola and was arrested at 7:53 a.m. in Parking Lot 35 on the USF campus. Fisher attended Pine Forest High School in Pensacola. As with any campus arrest, the case will be reported to Student Affairs. Now here the Tribune is actually quoting the USF arrest report, which now does not exist.  Sorry, but this smells and its gonna come out eventually.
  10. Cuban, I hope for his kids sake that you are right, but Fishers track record is very evident. I don't care if he plays for usf, he has not done anything not to play. The concerning thing is, it is very apparent that he was arrested then he was not. Whether the Trib got the story wrong is not of importance. When there is a warrant for your arrest, the cops don't detain. He got special treatment from the usf police force. That is a viloation under ncaa rules.
  11. Big, there is the key, when they are arrested. At usf, players don't get arrested. They break laws, but are not arrested. As I have asked before, there is an arrest warrant issued for Fisher, he is picked up the the usf police, then transfered to Hillsboro County Sherriff for booking. How was he then not arrested by usf. Truth, he was, but somehow it was changed. That would be a concern for me if I were a usf fan. If it were your son or daughter in that same situation, they would have been arrested.
  12. UTEP averaged over 29,000 people per home game. Not bad.
  13. Its not that I want negative things to come out of USF, outside of losing, but when there are clear rules violations and I am not talking about school rules, I am talking about state rules that we all must follow, then there it concerns everyone. As for what comes out of Orlando, no news is good news. usf has not had a week go by without some story of a football players issues. usf has become worse then FSU and Miami. That is something to be proud of.
  14. NO need to say anymore to me, its obvious what is happening at usf. All one has to do is read how Royal was not arrested, and now how Fisher was not arrested. A highschool newspaper could find the story here, so with two newspapers in town, its gonna get fun.
  15. Make no mistake about this, this could be very bad for USF.  First, the Tribune clearly said he was arrested by USF, then booked by Hillsboro County.  Two different agencies had him, now the story changes.  The Trib and Times will both be snooping around after this one.  It stinks.  Tell me, if there was a warrent for his arrest, why was he only detained.  Personally, I am very happy about this, this makes USF look much worse then before.  First you have Royal not being arrested because he had his two year old with him.  Now you have Fisher not being arrested, only detained and booked.  Someone tell Fisher not to go home bedcuse the cops up there are not part of the USF athletic program as they are at USF.
  16. Sucks actually. I wanted to watch, but its the same day as the FSU vs. Miami game, so I will be headed to Miami.
  17. Its was several years ago I went to the UCF game, but I think it was 15,16 and 17. They may have moved it by now. I do a lot of work in the Columbia area so my knowledge of the hotels is current. Its a good time up there.
  18. The USC stadium is a very nice stadium. Parking is easy because its not really on Campus, but on the fringe of the City. Access is also very easy. Columbia is definately a college town, but it is mixed well with State Capitol, but nicer then Tallahassee. My advice, stay at the Hampton Inn on Gervais Street. It is about three miles from the Stadium and is practically new. Being on Gervais Street you are in the Vista which is where there are many good bars and good restaurants within walking Distance. You may want to reserve a room early, its not that big of a hotel.
  19. Kissimmee to Lakeland, why. Worlds apart, considering that I-4 won't be done for years and even when it is done, Kissimmee is 20 minutes away from UCF via the 417. Kissimmee is 45 minutes away from Lakeland via I-4. Most people that live in Osceola County, ie Kissimmee, live no where near I-4, but much closer to the 417 and the Osceola Parkway.
  20. You act as if Lakeland is a hotbed for educational talent. Polk County schools are some of the worst in the state.
  21. MikeG, female, its always someone elses fault. Brian knew what he was doing, he knew he was suppose to pay and he CHOSE to ignore the issues. Blame the girl right female. There might be an argument there if it didn't happen twice in one year to two separate women. I don't care how slutty the girls are, we all went through it. Its called protection, its called condoms, its called self control. As I said before, I don't care about Brian, the mothers or anyone one associated with this case, I care for the kids that not being supported. Mike, you can spin it anyway you want, Brian is not supporting these kids. Should he, yes. I would love to see him make it in the NFL, make millions of dollars and send his two kids to private schools to become lawyers and take over mazza's practice. But I think its obvious that no matter what Brian achieves, his children are not in his plans.
  22. This may be shocking to most USF fans, but I think USF is in the clear on this. What could they do, what could Leavitt do, nothing. I don't think its the role of a coach or school to ask a player if he is paying his support or not. A red flag should have gone up when he was detained for his license being suspended, although I doubt USF woulld have or could have known about that. This is an individual thing, not USF. If USF lets this kid play, then they now dirty their hands by supporting a man that does not support his kids. Its all about character now. Leavitt needs to send a message to his team. The Royal situation is troubling enough. No joking here, the child thing at USF is in the news too much, first with Royal bringing his two year old while tresspassing, now this. As much as I dislike Leavitt, I hope he does the right thing. ITs not a UCF or USF thing, its just the right thing to do. This is no longer about football teams, its about children, children that deserve much better.
  23. I guess I don't understand how you can say that its a University thing.  I wonder if USF even knew this.  You say that USF should do something to help, I disagree.  The role of the university is to educate and guide a a young man through his time at school.  What could have USF done, if they help him, they break NCAA rules. I don't have a problem with 90% of the posts on this thread, but MikeG's defense of him is disgusting.  I don't care about the mother or father, I care about the innocent kids.  They did not ask for this, now they are stuck with a deadbeat dad and who knows what of a mother.  What chances do they have?
