  1. There is a difference between picking players for all state teams and picking recruits. Case in point, he lists Jesse Hester as the #38 player, yet Jesse has played in less then ten games in two years, while Bill Buchalter lists him at #97, quite the difference. Oh, and one other major note of Michael Harris, he works for the Tampa Tribune, which also employes Brett McMurphy, the USF hack that is so blind with his green and gold glasses that he actually wrote articles when USF was 4-5 as if they actually had a real shot at a bowl. All that aside, the reason I was laughing was the vast difference between that list, and Buchalters list. Convienently Harris's list runs the same day at McMurphy's article on how much USF has to sell recruits. Yup, lots of credability with that list.
  2. LOL, but then compare his list to Bill Buchhalter, who does this for a living. Quite different.
  3. Nice try, but Clark is a solid verbal to UCF.  Funny, he does not even list USF anywere in his top ten.  The list: Boston College Notre Dame FSU Maryland Northwestern Syracuse Wake Forest Gee, where is USF? Maybe you got confused by his desire to go to FSU. You have the same letters and many bull fans often get confused with real BCS teams.
  4. Can someone explain to me how Iowa is getting all these kids?
  5. Within five years, UCF will have a medical school. At that time, UCF will also recieve the bulk of what the research dollars are.
  6. I did not hear him commit during the game, but there was a ticker on the bottom of the screen during the game that showed him going to Texas.
  7. While I think every school should have an on campus stadium, its a need thing first. Ray Jay is a great stadium, with probably the best parking of any major stadium in the country. Its in a safe place with good access. UCF has to do this, the Citrus bowl is a dump as we all know, the City of Orlando has been screwing UCF for years and just attempting to tailgate there is always a problem. None of this would have been possible without the $11MM donation. UCF has now received an additional $3MM and there are at least two other $1MM donations that are being rumored. What is also helping UCF is that the Orange County Chairman is a UCF grad and does not care for the Mayor of Orlando and you won't see him stepping up and helping him out. This is also the man that controls the tourist tax, which is what the City would need to renovate the stadium. The only reason this is happening for UCF right now is just good timing. USF does not need this right now. I think playing at Ray Jay is a huge recruiting advantage for USF right now, moving on campus would hurt USF.
  8. RTB, what it does mean is the very real possibility of a split national champion now. If that happens, the BCS will lose its purpose. Fox will not be getting their monies worth. If Fox is not happy, there is no BCS.
  9. Utah would beat Louisville. I don't think people really realize just how good they are. If you watched a couple of their games, you would see that they have a very balanced offense and solid defense. Also, everyone is basing Louisville on the Miami game. While I think Louisville is a good team, remember that Miami could very well end up with four losses this year. I think Boise State will be enough for Louisville to handle. They should be thankful they are not playing Utah. We remember what happended to the TCU, Louisville and USM last year in the bowls.
  10. Personally I would think that it will be CUSA to take a Big East team after the NBE loses its BCS slot after the 2005 season.
  11. **** Ricky, some of the best times I have had with my kids is watching USF lose. Had a great time spending time with both my sons, watching that. Hell, one is already better at QB then anything USF has.
  12. No they can't, they have a father. Now if only your father loved you, imagine what you could have been.
  13. I got screwed. GK undercut me by a point, after I posted my prediction. Oh well, I really wanted that USF clock.
  14. I hope he does go pro, because I sure as hell do not want to face him next year. mazza, Memphis is a program, USF is not. That is not a slap at USF, but considering USF has not had two generations of Div 1 recruits, lets just give it a tad bit more time before you compare them to a program that has been playing football for more then 100 years.
  15. I did not realize that Deangelo(sp) did not play against USF last year.  Either way, mazza is crazy if he thinks USF was ever on par with Memphis.  You can't blame him though, there are many USF fans that just don't realize what the ups and downs of college football are about.  They had one very good year when they beat teams like Pitt, North Texas, Uconn, Southern Utah, Liberty, Western Ill and so on.  From that year, they think they were on par with other mid majors.
  16. So by your logic, USF can't compete with Army, so why even try to play today. UCF will be just fine. UCF will lock up two fo the best JUCO prospects in the country. If you want to rag on that, the only decent offensive player on USF is a JUCO.
  17. Yes I know that USF is 4-5 at this time, but they will be 4-6 at this time tomorrow and 4-7 after Pitt. Watch that Oline tomorrow, should be fun.
  18. Since this is the main board and this is a UCF thread, I will have at it. USF will finish this year with a three game losing streak of their own. They will also finish with a 4-7 record and that is with over 20 arrests and no suspensions to show for it. UCF may be bad, but USF is bad and they have hoodlums playing for them. On top of that, USF pays just under $100,000 less for Leavitt then UCF does O'Leary. At least our coach brings respect, not a complete lack of respect for authority, the law and the university they play for. I get such a huge laugh out of USF fans. Sure UCF sucks this year, you should be happy with that, because UCF is taking a lot of heat off of a lousy USF team that will finish with three div 1 wins, of which only one of those has a winning record. On top of that, you got beat by Army. Now USF loses three starting seniors on the Oline. Still no answer at QB, now with a line that will be, or should be made up of four sophmores and a senior. USF can schedule all the 1-aa teams it wants, next year will be worse then this year for USF and this year only got you four wins. At least UCF knew it was rebuilding, what is it called at USF. Enjoy tomorrows game, those QB/center exchanges should be fun to watch.
  19. Memphis 37-16 287 Peyton Something tells me that USF will have some offensive line issues.
  20. What a sad state of affairs college football has become where you award a team that goes 6-5 with one of those wins being 1-aa. On top of that, from a below average conference.
