Needed a 4th quarter comeback to beat a 1-5 team that's all but folded their football program.

I've been saying this for a long time. Every day we are in this conference with north Texas, Florida Atlantic, Charlotte, San Antonio, uab etc it erodes what little value we still have left. Fau is now in the same conference as us, has made an ncaam final, destroyed us in a conference game, has their own stadium, also in a large market. Right now we are viewed nationally as bigger than them, but in 1-2 years after they've beaten us a couple more times, why would the next conference expansion choose us over them? It doesnt matter if we lose a bit of money in the short term, the erosion of our brand is far more damaging. We should be independent playing as many away games against power 5 teams as possible. Only way to stay relevant. No one goes to our home games anyway, there's no point in being in this conference so we can host fau, rice, North Texas, uab etc in front of 8000 fans

I don't follow a team other than usf. If usf were even remotely OK at basketball or football I'd follow it, but with usf in the state they're in I just don't watch any college sports.

Just shut the program down.

Yeah I've been saying this for a while. Give up sports and focus on the university. The level of failure this program has achieved is unreal and does nothing but tarnish the school.

I prefer the acc over B12 and one of the reasons is so we don't have to play ucf anymore. I'd never play them again if it were up to me.

The conference is the cause of this. The lack of interest, ambition, purpose etc around usf football is the fault of our conference situation. Independent or fold the program. No other option.

This is why I've been saying we need to go independent. Even if we lose money on it we have to break the association with these schools. My plan would have us playing the maximum allowed road games per season as 1 and dones with power conference schools. Then filling in the required home games with fcs. Maybe set up a yearly home and away with uconn and/or UMass. We cannot stay in this conference it will kill the program. If we spend a few more years in the AAC we won't be under consideration by any power conference next time expansion happens. We'll just be another North Texas or fau

No, there are easier ways to throw money away. Imagine seeing this product and thinking it's a good investment. Our embarrassment of a conference that our ad has navigated us to is being taken to the woodshed by the Mac and cusa today

Are we seriously going to sink 340m into this product? There's zero sign that it's anything but a money pit. No fans, zero success, in a dead carcass of a conference with no hope of improvement, yet another fraud at coach. Just end this football experiment already.
