  1. There is also one tentatively planned for the final home basketball game in the Corral during the Bulls Club pregame. Sorry for those that don't have access to the pregame but that's what he requested. Eric
  2. For those of you that live in the Tampa Bay area and aren't aware that the Tampa Bay Area is home to a PGA Golf event, the PODS Championship is March 8-11 at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club. I volunteer with them to help promote the tournament and to build a partnership between USF and this major event. There are two very popular packages: 1) The Copperhead Pack and 2) the Hooters Owl's Nest. 1) For $230 you get 2 good any day clubhouse tickets, a parking pass, and 2 rounds of golf on the Copperhead Course...the same one the tournament is on. 2) For $59 for 1 person, $99 for 2 people, or $195 for foursome, you get access to the Hooters Owl's nest which gets you good any one day ticket, a boat of wings, and complimentary beer throughout the day. If you would like more information go to http://www.podschampionship.com/shop/productsByCategory.asp?intCatalogID=1&strCatalog_NAME=Ticket+Packages. Make sure to put USF on the form or mention USF when you call. If you have any question let me know. Eric
  3. Yeah, great idea. Then when we go to charge them everyone gets pissed because we used to let them in for free. Also, I know a few poeple with season tickets that might not like the fact they paid and others didn't. Great marketing! : Eric
  4. Exbull: Nomination forms for the USF Hall of Fame are available at www.gousfbulls.com. We are always excepting nominations and our first class should be inducted next year. That goes for anyone else. Here's your chance to nominate your favorite student athlete, coach, or team. Eric
  5. They are finalizing a few details on the liquor license needed to sell beer. The event in the pavilion was being hosted by the Bulls Club. We also hosted smaller events at men's tennis and softball earlier in the day. We'll continue to do various reception like the one today for women's basketball. We can't just invite everyone to these events so it is usually a targeted crowd. The beer will be there hopefully in the next week or two. Eric
  6. We were originally estimating around 200 but because of the huge response, we took over the entire banquet area and can now handle around 450 people, which is sold out. Keep in mind from those profits we have to pay for the teams meals as well so it isn't all profit. Should be a good event that we will have to find a larger facility for next year. Eric
  7. Yet another event put on by your USF Bulls Club! Sorry, have to toot our own horn every now and then. Not that I personally have anything to do with it but my co-workers have been working very hard on it. Eric
  8. Some went out two days ealier than others. The Pearls will probably get there today and the Soncrants of the world will probably get theres on Monday. Eric
  9. Which mean's I'll probably have to go to babysit.
  10. There sure is.....coffee! We love it here. Sorry couldn't resist. ;D
  11. Everyone keeps saying the Auburn site has the game on the 15th. I went to the official site and found no 2007 schedule. Now I didn't look too hard. But as far as I can tell they haven't released their official schedule yet. The game is on the 8th. It is no mix up. It was a change in the schedule. Eric
  12. dabull: Email me at soncrant@admin.usf.edu. We can maybe try and get a small group of people together to start putting something together. Similar to what we did in Miami last year with a lunch with about 12 people, a couple Bulls Club staff, and Coach Leavitt. It has to start somewhere but would love to make it happen. Obviously the goal would be to have one of these in every major area in the state including Jacksonville, Orlando (eventually would like to separate it from Polk), and start working are way through the southeast into Atlanta, Charlotte, DC, NY, Phillie, and then maybe hitting other major cities ie. Chicago, Dallas, Phoenix (for Brad and Sherriff). Long term plans though. Right now focusing on Florida and places we play. Eric
  13. New York may happen as part of the BIG EAST baseball tournament being held in Brooklyn. We may bring a coach or two with us if they are available. Would love to have the Pinellas Alumni help us out. The cheerleaders and Rocky were there last year and you could have your picture taken with them. We won't use them as caddies as we try to keep the round to a normal length of time. One of the locations we are looking to eventually get to is Chicago, it's not Normal but it's in the same state. Eric
  14. We have schedule four stops so far on this years Verizon USF Around the Horns Summer Coaches Tour.  Make sure to mark your calendar for these dates and come play golf or just come for dinner.  If you are interested in serving on the organizing committee for any of these locations, just let me know. Friday, June 8th  Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club  Manatee/Sarasota Counties Friday, June 15th The Golf Club at Eaglebrooke Lakeland Thursday, June 21st Belleair Country Club, Pinellas County Monday, June 25th Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club, Tampa We are still looking at dates potentially in Miami/West Palm, Venise, and New York. Eric
  15. Don't forget you can hang out at the Ice House party deck in between games. It is located at Entry 2 of the dome. Head out have a couple beverages and then come back in for the game. Their are several reasons for clearing the arena, all of them good ones. Sorry if it inconveniences some of you but we really didn't have a way around it this year. Eric
  16. Mike is a good guy. USF alum that played soccer for us. He is a keeper. Played in the Alumni/Rowdies game last year. Support his show as I know he will talk about USF. Eric
  17. If the track and soccer teams go around football and basketball games selling game day programs, why are you guys too busy to earn a buck? Just an opinion.  It would seem bands would be in a great position to put forth some effort to earn their keep since they eat up a lot of money because of their size.  You dont need to sell candy bars but you provide services that by their nature fans would pay for.  IE - CDs, pep band performances at city events the the understanding that a donation would be made...etc. Band uniforms themselves cost thousands of dollars for something that is worn a handful of times a year...and to be frank, could be replaced by swooshie/warm-up pants and t-shirts and still get the job done looking good.  You gotta look at the big picture.  How many footballs and pads could you buy with that money? Not stirring the pot - promise. Maybe the track and soccer teams sell programs at UCF but they don't at USF. Most of our student athletes don't have fundraising responsibilities, that is on the shoulders of the coaches with assistance from the Bulls Club. The band is now getting professional fundraising support from central development to help meet their financial needs and we are working with the cheerleaders to help them out. Just wanted to set the record straight on that so our donors don't get mad that we are prostituting our student athletes. Eric
  18. Coach Leavitt signs each one individually. It is authentic. For an added charge I'll be more than happy to sign it as well! ;D Eric
  19. Econ: We have actually tried this a couple time only to be stumped by the group that organizes it. Worries about drinking or can't do it at that time. We have had a lot of excuses. But it is something we will try again this year. Eric
  20. As a Detroit Lion fan, I don't find that funny at all. But I wouldn't put it past Mr. Millen. Eric
  21. Their are limited quantities but there should be plenty to go around. We ordered the same amount as last year and we still have some of those left. Eric
