    I just saw some signs on Dale Mabry that the Hillsborough County Fair is this weekend at RayJay. Hopefully, that will draw some fair riders/families to the game to make a day of it. Didn't they have a deal the last time we crossed paths that with a game ticket you could buy a ride wristband for dirt cheap?

    Would Cincinnati be invited back to Hawaii no matter who they played?  They weren't very nice visitors last time, right? The best that could happen to the Bulls would be to play Virginia in Orlando. We would send a ton of fans and it would be a big boost to play an ACC school nearby.

    2 items: Why are we always so secretive about what is happening with the schedule? Not a good sign that FAU has to consider moving a home game to Tampa to boost their attendance numbers - they are already in a very bad situation regarding the new attendance requirements. I think the attendance requirements should only apply to your "regular" home field. This is a big out for teams to sell a "home" game to a big name opponent and play at their stadium to meet the requirments. If this flies, I think you will see teams in trouble like the lower MAC play a "home" game against Ohio State in Columbus.

    It would be interesting to measure the effect of these 2 games on season ticket renewals. Moving to the BE will make measuring it impossible though.

    Thanks, Eric. I still say they didn't donate and buy 12 seats which is what they can sit in now. What is the difference if the person sitting next to them is the initial donor, someone they gave the tickets to, someone they donated the tickets to or a real fan who moves down in the second half? I just don't understand the lack of concern to fill the lower bowl with butts in seats so we look better to tv audiences, news cameras and recruits. I find it hard to believe a true fan and donor would object to having someone sit next to them that received the ticket/seat in some secondary manner. Thanks again for the responses.

    Hopefully these 11am games will throw Memphis and Pitt out of their rythym of arriving Friday afternoon and playing Saturday afternoon or night. I think these starts definitely benefit the home team (that would be da BULLS).

    ES, Are you guys investigating programs to deal with the lower bowl no shows? I know the pros work with their season ticket holders to help them resell tickets, donate the tickets, or anything else to get a butt in the seat. Also, any thoughts on letting other fans move down to empty seats with maybe 15 minutes left in the game? Especially sections E1 and P1 - they are always empty and must provide for a horrible atmosphere for the team. And maybe let anyone slide into H1 when the students are not on campus - the band looks lonely. Thanks for listening.

    Big gold postcard comes in the mail today titled "Reminder!" with a note about the time change for the Memphis game. Marketing again blows an opportunity. The card is strictly about the time change. There is no mention of telling friends and co-workers about the game - USF driving for bowl eligibility - buy 4 additional tickets for only $40, etc. etc. They pay to send out at least 5,000 of these postcards and take no advantage of it. (BTW, Goldenbuc, that was the funniest Will Ferrell bit ever on SNL - laugh my ass off at that video)

    I have very fond memories of the Lee Rose era. SunDome was brand new and students had almost the entire first level - called the Rose Garden. Consistently drew 6,000 - 7,000 I believe. We kicked butt every year in the Florida Four tournaments against UF, FSU and Jacksonville.

    1/2 of the PG won't make it in that early after a Friday night - they won't be able to deal with anything except taking money. That always happens with the Outback Bowl.
