  1. Sneak over to ESPN zone for the last half - 5:15 to 6:45. You'll only be away from the fam for 2 hours - they won't even miss you.
  2. When will the WVU game time decision be made? Thanks.
  3. Already changing.....now 42 degrees and partly sunny.
  4. Would love to see the Bulls in HD. Can't find a listing that shows HD or not.
  5. Good one ET. Nice things to say about PJ, AJ and AH plus CJL. Only negative was that he wished we would have covered the spread - must have actually laid some on the Bulls.
  6. BBB, I think it's more like 5,000 that were sold. 16,000 season + 6,000 students/jr. bulls/recruits/comps = 22,000. Of those 5,000 sold, I know many were the faculty/staff and military personnel promotion. But I must say that I think 5,000 is pretty good for the time and opponent.
  7. Gurly, kind of stinks they moved you guys back 2 rows to make room for the new press row. The ironic thing about it is that the front row of that section on the other side where the press used to be was completely empty from end to end. Best seats in the house and no one was in them.
  8. Harmon Forecast USF 26 - UConn 14. Sagarin has USF -11
  9. Okay, here's what I'm getting at. Are you saying that Disney/ABC/ESPN is the FINAL decision maker as having TV rights to the game? I'm not trying to be an ass, I am just trying to understand specifically who is the final decision maker. Does the BE or USF have ANY say in this or does TV tell the league and USF when game time will be? Wasn't there some talk about TV and the BE handing the final decision over to USF because of the postponement and our desire to play the game on that Monday or Tuesday which was overruled?
  10. Does anyone know OFFICIALY who makes the decision and when it will be made? Who is "They" as in I hope they wait until after UConn, I hope they decide for a late game, I think they should take the TV money, etc.? (Again, I did not intend to start this thread again about when we would like it to be or what criteria might affect the decision.)
  11. I know this has been discussed on many threads, but let's not discuss the merits of early vs. late start, take tv money vs. get larger crowd, etc., but a simple question... Does anyone know WHEN the decision will be made and by whom? Is it really USF's choice as we have been lead to believe since the BE postponed the game? Tomorrow is the usual 12 day advance notice although as we know, 6 days applies sometimes. Who will make the decision and when will it be made?
  12. It will be VERY interesting to see where in the Southeast (particularly Florida) they select Miami or USF. I have a hard time believing we will get the nod over Miami in most markets.
  13. Do you really think a 9-2 Alabama team could get a BCS at large slot?
  14. The U in the white surrender flag looked worse than ever yesterday - a real strange green and it was kind of choppy (maybe from the grass being so high). I would prefer they just paint over the flag with grass colored green and have nothing on the fifty for our games than the surrender flag.
  15. Need t-shirts that say SKUNK with the Iconic U.
  16. Again as covered in numerous threads over the years, if the Bucs are not playing the same weekend, USF has the option to paint the field by ponying up $5,000.  I am not sure what the deadline is for making the decision (before/after UConn game?). I did notice yesterday (I think for the first time), the USF flag was on the pole outside just north of the stadium. That pole always had the tattered Bucs flag on it.
  17. Yes, after the Cuse game, he had us as #25.
  18. Jackson had on a skunk hat during the locker room interviews - just saw it on the news. Very cool!
  19. Speaking of students attending games..... Walking into the soccer game last night at the half and there were 2 student soccer games going on right outside the stadium. If those students are such soccer fanatics to play the game on a Friday night at 8:30, why weren't they in the stadium supporting their team in the NCAA championships?
  20. I walked into the soccer game at half time and if those bleachers hold 4,000 it sure looked like it was 3/4 full - I would have guessed 2,500 to 3,000 were there.
  21. Sure looked to me like the season ticket holders were no shows equal to the students. Counting the corners that were filled for FAMU, UCF and UL, the student section was probably about 50%. The visitor side between the 10's looked about 50%. I know the season folks on both sides of me were no shows (total 8 tickets). I'm guessing that 27,000 announced was maybe 20,000 through the turnstiles. Bad opponent and early game affects everyone the same. You can't single out the students or the season holders/donors.
  22. PSU did their job today, now we need Miami to get going against GT. Those 2 winning only helps when a voter looks at 3 losses and realizes who 2 of them were.
