  1. can the one guy stop saying The University of South Florida every time he refers to the team? Don't know why but it's getting on my nerves. Just say South Florida or USF.
  2. Sagarin agrees with you in his final conference ratings. Note he has the Sun Belt below a 1AA conference. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbc05.htm
  3. When she said that, a NCS fan next to me said "I hope she means transfer in and not out". I laughed politely.
  4. Eric, are all 4 going to have video or only 2 corners? They looked very impressive without being turned on at the BCC game.
  5. WVU 28-13 - HOLD ON, WRONG SPORT! BULLS Win! (How can you guys choose another team for this contest?) 4 Holmes 21 Jones 10 80%
  6. Jeez, EI you took some awsome pcitures. You a pro photog or something? Yes, I too will remember Andre in this fashion. It was a great moment.
  7. No way - you go for the win. You have to be thinking touchdown, onside kick and touchdown no matter how much time is on the clock. Screw historical stats for the record books.
  8. HOT and the students in their section represented way above expectations - watching that section was probably the highlight of the game.
  9. That was great - much better than the NCS film. It looks even better on the wider screen at RJS.
  10. Was anyone else disappointed in the non-existence of a pre-game show?  There was absolutely zero pre-game on the field except for the presentation of a charity check and the national anthem sung by a local fire fighter.  We did not hear a voice on the PA system until 10 minutes to 11:00.  I've been to other bowls and there is usually some local kids or bands plus some delivering of the ball and team flags, etc.  Jeez, if the City or the Bowl did not want to spend the dough for a pre-game show, they could have at least invited the 2 bands to do an old half time show before the game.
  11. Could you imagine this team against Georgia if they would have snuck in?  NC State was pathetic and yet again we found a way stink it up after the first quarter. The best part about being there today was the USF fans.  Don't get down about our presence because some WV fan watched on TV and said there were only 1000 of us there.  There were at least 5,000 and very, very into the game and LOUD.  (BTW, the cameras were on the USF side so during plays I imagine Bulls fans were never on TV).
  12. We let them know we were here last night. Now let's keep it up at the stadium. http://mb17.scout.com/fnorthcarolinastatefrm1.showMessage?topicID=51040.topic
  13. BULLS Win! (This is getting tougher to type game after game) 2 Holmes 21 Jones 12 71%
  14. From the bowl message board - they do not plan to have any bowl merchandise this year. Is this a joke? We will not be able to buy a bowl t-shirt or hat at the game? http://www.meinekecarcarebowl.com/discus/messages/5/507.html?1135124048
  15. Take the cheapo clear ponchos to let the green shine through.
  16. Great idea! I bet the Patels would have paid for 100 students to go if they had decent grades - kind of an academic award.
  17. Interesting point. Since their tickets will be at the USF will call window, can we refuse to hand the tickets over unless they are wearing green into the stadium? When they pick up their tix, we should trade them a green shirt for the red shirt they will have on!
  18. Considering the history of attendance for these lower level bowls, I think 5,000 in green is a very respectable showing.
  19. Pre-season the following prices were advertised $26, $21, $16 and $11 (includes $1 service fee at Sun Dome). $11 tickets - third level have not been made available for any games yet.  I was able to buy $16 tickets to the first few games.  Last night the posted prices were only $36 and $26.  I did see people walk away when they saw the prices.  That's no way to build a fan base. I guess many people on this board will say I am whining and complaining, but this is truly crazy.
  20. Company is Daktronics - they are now the premiere installer of scoreboards and video boards. http://www.daktronics.com/
  21. I understand dormant grass. However, it would be nice to practice on a surface similar to game day conditions. I am sure the grass at BofA stadium will not be dormant.
  22. Yes, the same size scoreboard was in pieces on the floor at the opposite corner. Also, there were piecies of scoreboard in the other 2 corners to be installed. Looked like there may be scoreboards in all 4 corners with video screens in 2.
  23. Notice how USF got the practice field with dead grass and dirt while NCS practices on live green grass. HMMMMMMM. http://isis.fastmail.usf.edu/usf-athletics/practice_07.JPG http://gopack.collegesports.com/sports/m-footbl/ncst-m-footbl-body-main.html
  24. Agree Capko's head was just not in the game. How do you get a traveling call while you are trying to call time out? The few fans that showed up were not in the game either. I felt pretty good when we were up by 11 with like 5 minutes to go - then all hell broke loose. All of a sudden about 1/2 the crowd of maybe 500 woke up as they were BCC fans. The BAD (besides the game): Cheapest ticket was $26! I saw guys with kids walking away from the ticket office without tickets going back to their cars. That price is absurd. The GOOD: The new scoreboards are going to be great. I wish they would have turned on the one that was installed - very impressive looking.
