  1. Leak has to stay one more year, I'm pretty sure he was only a sophmore this year and I don't think he's ready to take the Clarett challenge yet.
  2. One loast framented thought, I bullieve we were just out coached from thier defensive to our offensive side in the last 4-5 games. If we keep drives alive, their offnese and our young defense both stay off the field making it harder for them to score.
  3. Bien, I think you usually hit IT right on the head, but not this time Hobbie has to go. And dumP Rod in there to if you must. I think it would be a good change. You talk about dramatic changes mid-season to the offense. Please..... putting 5 more running plays is hardly RE-VAMPING the offense. I a do agree that execution has also been an issue, but still the play action has been virtually non-existent and we threw MAYBE 4 passes in the first 3 quarters Sat. Just mix up the play calling and be diverse if the players don't make the plays, then I can live with that as frustrating as that is. The defense, doesn't have coaching issues it has skill and maturity issues, other than I think they should blitz more. I don't its acoaching issue. Its a youth and inexperience issue. Your thoghts?........
  4. If he's TO then somebody call Nicollette Sheridan quick!!! ;D
  5. Mark, wake up, when you beat someone they (LSU, UGA, and Tenn all lost to AU) drop in the polls, the PAC-10 sucks and when the other ranked (or in this case rank) team loses non of USC's team will be in the top ten. Here's the flip side of your remark. When USC beat them they weren't in the top ten.
  6. Couldn't afford Jim's buyout? Are you High? All LRS would need is a phone and 3 minutes and the 50grrr would be deposited in escrow and the van would pull up to CJL house, Spurrier would bring millions in revenue to USF overnight like Shaq to the HEAT.
  7. Yes we did have a couple of injuries, but ECU had several players invovled in a car accident, one of which was the starting QB, Hackney or Pickney, whichever one isn't the UAB QB. I get those 2 confused. The good news is that none were seriously injured but I'm not sure of their status for Sat.'s game.
  8. Howie, The fallacy there is that L-ville isn't in the Big East. They're in C-USA so it won't effect things until next year. Which we're not sure if their ranking transfers to the BE or stays in the C-USA rankings.
  9. Our 2 biggest needs are #1 An OC with some Flava', I think anyone of us could do a better job. CJL that's a challenge - let me try. At Army and UofL games, I was (as I'm sure many of you were) predicting the plays before they were called and if we can do it, don't you think D-1 programs like Army and UL can. Hit the pavement Hobbie. #2. A QB, I love the kids heart and determination, but PJ you just ain't got the skillz. Sorry, let's give Gachette a try especially when you are down 40+ to 3.
  10. Cyber....who replaces him? Carl Franks and he should for next season. Dabull ....what was the final in the TCU game....ooops 40 + and we won. The defense didn't lose the game although they helped. We went 3 and out WAAAAAYYYYY too many times Sat. night. When your RB runs 200 yds. and the secondary is man to man. PLAY ACTION! hell a terrible arm could complete the throw. Second, yes Peyton should have caught the ball but that was a third down play, get the first down or get a couple of yards to make the feild goal that doinked off the post good. It's called smart play making. I'm going to start bringing Fire Hobbie signs. And signs that Plant is looking for a new coach, Hobbie need apply. And yes CJL is to blame for not yanking Hobbie, after all the yamk players when THEY suck. Wake coach and administration, Hobbie has to go.
  11. 79', don't focus on the support of the Canes comment. Focus on the second part of that statement and EATING THE DOG CRAP! I wanna' watch that. Some things ought not be said or they could come back to bite you or in this case get bitten. ;D
  12. Hopefully they will move it to PAX channel17 like they did the Notre Dame game. I'll be pissed because I'm hosting the game down at Barnacle's for the watch party and then they pre-empt it.
  13. Well said Bien. I am however concerned w/ Tye Gunn and TCU's WR's. Also, how do you thing we will do at trying to stop the run and their stable of RB's?
  14. Eric, I can't believe you are diss-ing the Barnacles group. I'm heading that watch party and while it may not be the most well attended yet, It will be the loudest! So come on out and support your BULLS. They are big and hairy and you can't Lick em'!! D
  15. Sheriff, I've watched RB ever since he got here and I actually think he's getting worse. He looked terrible also Sat. night. He was nervous at the line and checked off waaaay too much. He has a TERRIBLE pump fake and an even worse long ball. He can't short throws either. RB's strength---- Holding a clipboard!
  16. I've been to SDSU, Kentucky, BAMA and USM and I must say that USC had the nicest fans I have ever witnessed ANYWHERE! I would go back to that city anytime. 2. SOmeone touched on this earlier but the girls all dressed up on game day was awesome and they have to have MORE hot girls there per square foot then any other away game I've witnessed. 3. They don't stop selling beer until 6 a.m. we know this beause we tried it. They stop selling liquor at 2 a.m. And mini's rule. They almost (I said ALOMST) make every drink Hub-style. 4. Touring the Capitol was amazing. 5. Gotta' Love Bojangles and Them Welcoming Southern Florida.
  17. Definitely BIen, And wasn't ripping Trae or anyone, they are young and it will get better. But PJ has to be the guy. I was at the game and RB was so **** nervous in the backfeild, That I needed a Valium. I think this team is few tweaks from being extremely decent, not great, not yet. But yes less spread equals less prgession reads and more time to make better throws. The question is do the coaches read this or will they listen. Can they not see the same things we saw?
  18. I think we need to stop piling on PJ, he was freaking hurt and was wearing a leg brace straight out of the Alien vs. Predator movie and seroiusly hindered his ability to play. Then why did he play? befcause a hurt PJ is still better than Ronnie at 110%. He could hit water if he fell out of a boat. The throws bombs higher than he does far and was lucky not to have more INT's. He never looked comfortable.......................ever. Yes we need to run the ball more out of the I, and stop running these extremely predictable counter traps. Yes, we need to run the play action more. But, one thing I saw that we failed to do was check through the progression effectively. We had guys open (especially across the middle) and we didn't get the ball to them. We can fix it. The question is will we. But freakin' A give PJ a chance to play FOUR FULL quarters before giving him him to the firing squad. No one on any of these posts has talked about the play of our secondary, Yes they are young but still you HAVE to look back for the ball. USC kicked our A$$, with that being said, you take away the 4-5 bombs, 3 of which were absolute prayers (still 200% better thrown than RB). Take those away and the game is completely different. STill I will reiterate, we didn't look good.
