  1. My husband is looking for a place to watch the game in Orlando. He lives over by UCF. Anyone know of a place?
  2. Ha, I was thinking the same thing about Reub's post! ;D Speaking of superstitions, flipflop, inquiring minds want to know ~ what is the charm on Matt's gold chain? It's too small in the picture on the other thread to make out.
  3. 83, is McCoy seriously hurt, or was he just out for the KSU game? Would Matt have a better chance to move up if he really shines in the next 2 (or 3) games and McCoy is out for a while?
  4. flip, you have every right to be proud!!!!!! Just wondering, did you and/or Matt notice during the SU game, when they played that Justin Timberlake song "Bringin Sexy Back", on the jumbotron they flashed back & forth from Matt on the field and the girl in the stands with the sign that said Matt Grothe is Bringin Sexy Back? I thought that was really funny.
  5. I don't mind that it's on the 23rd. That's my hubby's birthday, so I fully expect that MG & the boys will give him the BULLS' first BOWL VICTORY as a present!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Thanks for the info, Eric. I'm looking forward to finding out where we'll go bowling & the travel/gameday activities put forth by the Bulls Club. Glad to hear that y'all are ready with a plan, no matter where we end up! Go BULLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :GoBulls :GoBulls :GoBulls :GoBulls
  7. Sorry, I didn't know what "Apex" student meant in your previous post. Did you try calling the ticket office? I know for football games they used to have rosters of all the current student ID #'s so in case your card did not scan correctly you could still get in. from gousfbulls.com: The ticket office is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please call the ticket office at (813) 974-3002 to verify Saturday hours before visiting.
  8. BullDoug, if you are a current student and have a student ID card, you don't have to worry about getting a ticket for yourself. They just swipe your card at the entrance and you are in. Don't know about tickets for the little ones though.
  9. "Dismissed from the team" sounds a lot more permanent to me than "two game suspension". I would think he is off the team for good.
  10. From SU football blog at The Post-Standard. http://www.syracuse.com/orangefootball/weblog/index.ssf?/mtlogs/syr_orangefootball/archives/2006_11.html#204684 Tuesday, November 14, 2006 South Florida Pittsburgh coach Dave Wannstedt said the indefinite suspension of tight end Darrell Strong will continue through the West Virginia game. Strong drew the suspension after he made an obscene gesture to the crowd at South Florida on Nov. 4. The press box at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa is glassed in, but South Florida apparently has quite the group of potty-mouthed fans. Some Syracuse players were shocked by the foul language hurled at them from fans and students surrounding the end zone tunnel that goes to the locker room. Maybe it's a Florida thing. Maybe it's a pro football thing. I was always stunned by the abusive language from University of Miami fans at the Orange Bowl when I'd stand on the field for the final minute of the game. It was nasty, cruel and vulgar. I got a similar report about the crowd in Tampa. That's not good for college football or the Big East. - Donnie Webb
  11. But if they're projecting Texas Tech as the Big 12 team, that doesn't make too much sense, does it?? All I know is that I've booked flights on Southwest to Birmingham - if plans change we can always apply the funds toward a different Southwest flight if needed.
  12. TCU is 7 - 2, with upcoming games vs. San Diego State, at Colorado State, and vs. Air Force. They have beaten Baylor, UC Davis, Texas Tech, Army, Wyoming, UNLV & New Mexico. The lost to BYU at home and at Utah.
  13. Someone forgot to tell the Texas Bowl that USF is the real deal. From http://www.texasbowl.org/
  14. smazza, where've you been?!?? flipflop4900 IS Matt's dad! I thought everyone who posted on here had figured that out by now!!!!
  15. If that's the case, then I really hope that UWV beats Rutgers in Dec.
  16. You are correct, Santiago was no great shakes as a kicker. He routinely missed the net & sailed balls into the student section during pre-games. Heads up!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. I thought that the ACC was weak even before Miami transferred. The simultaneous meltdown of F$U and The U just add to the suck factor. The top 5 BE teams would wipe the floor with most of the ACC teams right now.
  18. What a coincidence, so did our MG!!! She's beautiful ET, congratulations!
  19. __ Eats It, you have some serious talent!!! I love the site!
  20. The article makes a good point about FG's. With all the trouble we've had with special teams this year, why not try him out on FG attempts? He can't be any worse than what we've got now, though I do believe that Benzer & Alvarado both have solid legs. Maybe Teachey's composure on the field (as proved against Pitt last week) is just what we need to get the kicking game straightened out.
  21. Way over the Top What part of TIC don't you understand? Sorry, TexanMark, but that was a totally different thread on your board than the TIC one! Nice try though. : Maybe you should brush up on your reading comprehension skills.
  22. Are you kidding?!?!??? You were BANNED for your comments on that single thread. Wow, talk about some thin skin!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Bulliever & Co for having such a kick-ass board compared to all the rivals & scout boards I have ever seen!!!
  23. Sheriff, a lot of guys think Jenn Sterger is big boobs, no brains, too.  I admit was one of them -- until reading her posts here AND her columns on SI.  I now believe the proper term is beauty AND brains. Jim's right. Her SI pieces are good, esp when she's rooting for the Bulls!!! I was also really impressed when I watched snippets of her lecture to a marketing class at F$U. I think I saw the link to the Tally paper that hosts the video clips on her main site, www.jennsterger.com. Those of you in the "big boobs, no brain" camp will be enlightened by her straightforward presence. Granted, she's no Orater of the Year, but you can clearly tell she has more going for her than just her looks.
