  1. In all fairness to them with our typical scoring gaps and our typical number of TDs scores I’m not entirely sure I would have invested much effort in having a plan for what to do if down by two and having just scored a touchdown. You can only have so many plans in place and typically you pick the most likely scenarios this scenario seemed almost unfathomable just a week ago.
  2. I mean that many people claim that there is nothing the coaches can do in order to change their destiny of winning one game this season because they are handcuffed by CCS leaving the team devoid of talent. Some how we were in position to win a second game so that must mean we have since brought in new players as that would not have been possible with the ones that were already on the roster. Unfortunately for the coaches we didn’t actually win the game because we still need better players that can execute the fantastic 2 pt conversion call that would have obviously worked if we just had more players this staff recruited. For most people this would require waiting more seasons to get new players but lucky for us this staff has found a way to bring in new players not recruited by CCS in a week in the middle of the season. Too late
  3. We clearly had a decent recruiting week and then coached up those new players, a couple more players this week and that 2 pt conversion would have definitely worked. You just can’t expect players that only have the talent to come within two at Temple to actually win a game or come within several touchdowns of ECU at home.
  4. It’s not the coaches fault that they called that play just wait and see how it looks again in three years...
  5. I was just happy being competitive and showing some offense winning the half is like Christmas in whatever month we are in
  6. It wasn’t a bad thing at all but the years of pounding away at wanting to be Harbaugh were not a necessary component and they certainly contributed to the failure.
  7. Cwt is the perfect example of how he made things worse than his talent by completely misusing them. Had he not changed strategy his third year would have been his last and Q in the west coast offense would be in the running for worst in program history and not the best.
  8. I think we have preformed poorly enough this season that there is enough blame to go around and everyone is right about why we are failing, we really should only be arguing about degrees
  9. Maybe so but you are ignoring how simple get Ford the ball in space is a proven easy path to a serviceable offense. We aren’t winning much but do the things you can do well and we will be more successful with this talent than we have been. And McCloud isn’t going to probably ever be Tom Brady but he seems like he can manage a simple offense with shorter passes when things open more up from a successful rushing game plan.
  10. Talent definitely is an issue, it’s the reason this team would have a ceiling of .500 (even CCS with KB, a freshman McCloud and benching Ford most of the season could get to .333) the difference between .500 and wherever we end up definitely has a strong part played by the coaching staff. Last season mostly the same talent rolled ECU and this year they got rolled by the same amount, how did their talent become 200% worse in a single year?
  11. No one ever tried to make the argument that this team has Alabama level talent but they are more than a 1 win team against the schedule we have.
  12. It almost looked like our team isn’t completely devoid of talent and there are things that can be done better to put what we do have in positions to do better, weird.
  13. Or since @NewEnglandBull does not drink he can take a shot every time we throw for a touchdown, that should keep him stone cold sober
  14. You can’t tell by looking at the game ones that the Adidas quality is far below the UA quality?
  15. Unless you are from Texas and moving to the Big12 package deals and taking geographical rivals has never been a thing in conference expansion this century, it’s only existence is in the vivid imaginations of obscure corners of the internet.
  16. That's just something we said to make us feel better about foolishly bringing them up to our conference instead of having them continue to draft in our wake (and I do not want to hear about how the exiting members that cared nothing about the remaining conference to the point that they could not be bothered to negotiate TV contracts were super passionate about bringing in a team that had done nothing to date and they had no intention of being in a conference with). If anything maybe some conference would feel bad for our widowed status and would want to take us in, pity and death can sometimes strange bedfellows make.
  17. I would have went but UCF fans had ordered a fatwa against me to the Marshal fans because apparently plane crash references are inappropriate no matter how many decades have passed, who knew? (and I did not even say anything bad about Marshal I simply alluded that if that happened to UCF's program it may not be the worst thing for us overall) Well you live and you learn...
  18. I get it but it just seems like the story of the guy that swallowed the fly, try to fix one thing that’s not fair and then fix the ripple effect of unfairness that it causes, which then causes more ripples that all need fixing and it does not ever seem to be very well thought out or have an end.
  19. Well since you can bring in 25 a year and have 85 scholarships I guess the math makes sense but what if you are left with 50 or 40?
  20. Brad is already walking in the light and there will always be a place at our table for you too when you decide to give up on your prodigal journey.
  21. Because you are looking at the extreme examples of where years of failure somehow led to success when most typically it leads to you being fired and the cycle starting again. Also the example of CWT ignores the fact that he came in determined to run a Harbaugh style West Coast Offense that contributed to his failures and if not for for pivoting he would have continued to fail and would have joined the masses of coaches that’s plan to fail for three years leads to their firing. Losing to McNeese wasn’t a necessary component of rebuilding it was part of the slew of mistakes that CWT made in the rebuild process that could have and should have been avoided. I’m not completely convinced that there is a glass
