    I am always optimistic about anything I control and my optimism on things I do not control is driven by past results unfortunately that does not bode well for this situation but I think that speaks more to it than to me.

    I’m just spitballing here but what if we tried not making the analyst the most experienced and qualified person on the staff? Maybe when we hired a coach with no head coaching experience he probably should have considered hiring coordinators with some experience instead of a 12 year old that got fired from FAU simply because he was pressed for time, moonlighting as our head coach and had a Groupon for the entire FAU staff.

    You basically said if you want to live in society you have to follow the rules of society or go live on an island but I am offering another solution if you don’t like the rules of society change the society.

    Yep I for one really can’t stand the people that fought the British, snuck slaves out via the under ground railroad, harbored people from the Nazis, wouldn’t sit in the back of the bus or any other form of not following the rules that were dictated to them by their society ( I don’t care about masks one way or another (even though I’m very against shut downs)) but I just really hate this argument. Society is here to be changed and if not for people fighting against things they didn’t agree with (not that this is the hill I would die on) the world would not be a better place.

    I mean in all fairness it’s so simple a ccs can do it so it would make sense a good coach could but alas...

    This reminds me of the HBO show Silicone Valley when they get a new CEO and have to change the entire company in order to get the best sales people. The founder asks if they are the best why can’t they sell what they have and the new CEO explains that no the best sales people only want to sell the best and easiest things. Literally anyone can be the best coach if they have the best talent evert time but no one is going to convince me that our talent is 5x worse than every other team in this ****** conference and only better than the loan FBS team on our schedule. Our coaching staff is a failure by any and every measure and they alone can improve the problems they were hired to fix and have only made worse by every measurable.

    Wake me when he discusses coaching, strategy and department changes. It sounds like he is already on the second envelope of the three envelopes. He is a failure he has created failure and he needs to institute change not the subordinates.

    Most people with a three year plan get fired, we need a coach that can actually coach the players on the roster and make continuous improvement not one that can drive us further into the ground with the promise that we miracle our way to progress in year three. This should be a path and every day there is incremental progress, we aren’t building and arch that can’t accomplish a single achievement until the keystone is dropped in place.

    We have more talent on paper than half the teams we play, even CCS and KB could get more out of them everyone can pretend that we are on the verge of a turnaround but we have not displayed a single thing that anyone can even pretend is actually a positive. We hired a guy that stated his plan was to not bring in transfers just like Clemson that’s one of the millions of clues that we did not hire for the position that was actually available.

    If we recruited our butt off for a single year we would have more talent than 75% of the conference our problems are deeper than the players on the roster and anyone that thinks they need an entire roster of the best players in the conference to just be competitive just isn’t going to ever get it done.

    Didn’t CJS say he didn’t want to bring in transfers and only was doing it under protest? You can’t hire corporate people for a start up or mom and pop shop the strategies and expectations are completely out of sync.

    Is there a big market for coaches that didn’t call plays at Clemson, have their team do better without them and can’t manage to do as well a 1/4 as good as Charlie Strong? Asking for a friend. I think the next coach that manages to win a single game against an FBS program and then gets hired at a new head coaching job will be the first but I’m sure there is always someone that likes the awe shucks routine and saying nice things to the media somewhere.

    I was maybe a smidge older and I did enjoy an occasional Zima (but in all fairness to me you get what you get and you don’t pitch a fit at that age), Zima was just too ahead of its time and now has a bevy of malted beverages that has them to thank. That being said it would still have to be 25 years old at best and I don’t think that stuff gets better with age.

    If JK is posting about it then it can’t be good news, someone else is going to break the story that yes there is alcohol but the only option is 30 year old Zima.

    They may not be pro losing but that’s not enough one needs to be anti-losing and they certainly don’t seem to be that passionately against it

    I agree it’s clearly the fault of a 19 year old playing for free and making snap decisions and not the adults that are in charge, practiced the play over and over and called a timeout to pick the play and go over it.
