  1. And I thought I was the bad luck charm. Of course the games I've been to have been Very Bad Losses: University of Utah (Probably the worst game I've ever seen) University of Arkansas University of Alabama and NC State. Even though we didn't win the bowl game, it's still the best away game I've attended. As for not going to away games, forget it. I'll keep going, my luck will change soon. Besides, CJL told us a few years back that he wants us there, regardless of our personal records.
  2. Aside from the score, it was a great experience. We did not run into a single rude NC State fan while we were there; on the contrary, they were nothing but complementary before and after the game. We had a great time and I can’t wait till next years Bowl game.
  3. We stand at 7, but that may increase by tomorrow.
  4. I can't think of a better way to end this year than at a bowl game. It'll be a christmas present to myself.
  5. I'm a student but in Hell and if my major professor has his way I'll never leave. :-[ So you're not really a car salesman??
  6. I really don't understand your obsession with this guy. Even if you win the bet ET, do you really think he is a man of his word? I don't think he'll follow thru.
  7. You all are voicing concerns that have been brought up on this board before. In so far as people not cheering, I just heard the same complaint from a Florida fan about the stadium being too quite as compared to 10 years ago. And if the away games that I’ve been to are any indication, no stadium is loud during the entire game. I also don’t know if other stadiums have as many young fans as we do. I know that in our section, there are tons of little kids (ages 0-5), so a lot of the parents have their attention in 2 different places. (Please don't think I'm knocking kids at games, our group had 4 all 5 or younger, just making a point.) What I have noticed, at away games and from visiting fans, is that they have traditions. WE DON’T. So what is wrong with Two bits getting the fans to cheer?? (Timing aside.) You can complain about how quite the fans are and then complain about one of the few things that actually gets them up and on their feet. So what if someone is borrowing a tradition from another school it’s not the only one that’s been borrowed. The S-O-U-T-H-F-L-O-R-I-D-A, SOUTH FLORIDA, SOUTH FLORIDA, GOOO BULLS, is from Florida State. (Which is what we are supposed to be chanting after a touchdown.) But as I said before, this has been brought up in the past and no improvements have been seen. Maybe the school should put cheers into writing and hand them out before the games and send them out with season tickets. Like at kick offs we could yell GOOOOOOOOO BULLS, like Arkansas fans do with their pig/hog chant.
  8. I don't mean to criticize your post but this statement is incorrect. As for Duemig babbling about UCF having any chance to beat USF, that just goes to show the breadth and depth of his incompetence.
  9. We're in lot 7, and you may want to bring something that will kill ants. We've been fighting them for the past couple of years. It's a concern because one in our group is allergic to them.
  10. Thanks for the info. I'm in Orlando all the time, I'll have to swing by.
  11. ET, I'm soooo sorry to hear about you lose.
  12. WHY in god's name does anyone bother to listen to that duem-a$$?? The few times I tortured myself listening to him, he did nothing but spew verbal diarrhea all over the air waves.
  13. OH MY GOD ... this must be some alternative universe ... I actually agree with steve.
  14. My group is in section 113 (about the 20 yard line near the south end zone) rows H, I, and J. Vantage point over the field is pretty good, but for as long as I can remember a large portion of the game takes place towards the north end zone. Just my observation. If we were to re-pick seats, we'd probably opt for the other end of the field. We also have club access with non-club seats; it is good when you have little one's or when it gets unbearably hot. (Like at the Outback bowl in 2004)
  15. I was just wondering if there was any additional news on him ... Thanks Howie.
  16. Oh, I see. So he's pissed that our worst turn out still beats their best.
  17. So were you in the stadium when you posted this?
  18. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=1915954 AWWWW, there's going to be a lot of whinning here in HELL.
  19. He's right, last year we were warned away from staying near the airport. We stayed at the Crown Plaza downtown. The stadium is a dump. I wouldn't go in early, there is no shade and beverages are hard to come by. It took me the entire 3rd quarter to get a drink.
  20. Not according to Machen, he said that he thought that the press had blown that way out of proportion. It was Saturday's game that did it. He said that if Florida had won on Saturday he wouldn't be firing Zook today. I heard about this when I walked into my 8:30 class this morning. So is it a smart move to fire your coach half way through the season? I thought that was normally done at the end of the season when you actually had a replacement coach lined up. One of the reporters asked about the AD, Machen said that Foley would be around for many years to come. This is starting to sound a lot like when Dungy got the axe.
  21. So let me get this straight, JL has HALF of ONE bad season and you want to oust him. Nothing like fair weather fans. I think the only one who needs to go is you.
  22. Are there going to be any watch parties in Tampa?
  23. I didn't go to USF. But my Dad, my Aunt, and my Uncle all graduated from USF. I actually attend the University of Florida, but I make it to all the home games and even a few away games.
