  1. I can't speak for FSU, but since I live in Gainesville, let me just say you have to fight your way to the interstate, and everywhere else in this crappy little town. It can and does take 30 mins to drive 2 miles from campus to the interstate. As for people who leave early, who cares so long as they show up and cheer while they are there. Just accept that there will always be people who leave during the 3rd and 4th quarter and enjoy the unobstructed view and lack of seat kicking.
  2. Well, unless they win one more game, they won't be bowling at all. And since they are sitting with a 4-5 record I think that puts in second place in the State!!
  3. Seriously, was this the first sports game of any kind you've ever attended?  :-?
  4. I have to agree, UM falling in the rankings doesn't do anything for us. We need to move up for it to have any real meaning.
  5. I have to agree with everyone else. I was pleasantly surprised at how full the stands were today. I think it would be great if we could have that may people at every game. Maybe this observation was from late in the 3rd or the 4th.
  6. My friend, Margie, is from Cincy and told me about the game about 2 months ago, since then it keeps turning up. I brought her to one of our games and we actually saw some people playing this in the parking lot, she played a few times with Patty. At the last home game, cornhole was set up right outside the Alumni tent. I also saw some people with it at the UCF-USF game.
  7. me + normal group (11) + 2 from my lab = 103
  8. I think you have to wait till all the pics have loaded before going to the next page. They are loading a bit slow. Per usual, very nice pics, Mike.
  9. Well, I'm not going to the game this weekend, I'm going camping. But I've at least started the drinkin part.
  10. Well there is plenty of room and most of it is unobstructed.
  11. I live in Gainesville and regularly drive down for 4 pm tailgating. I stay for the entire game, do a bit of post-game tailgating and then drive home. I generally get back around 1-1:30. However, even in our group, I don’t live the furthest away. Lisa and Wayne live in Ft. Myers and come up for every home game. So as I was driving back home Saturday night/Sunday morning, I got to wondering how far other people drive to get to Bulls games. Does anyone drive further than the 2 ½ hours Lisa and Wayne drive, on a regular basis?
  12. 1. USF 2. FSU (I wanted to go there when I wanted to be a CPA) 3. Tenn (my brother-in-law is a HUGH fan, he grew up there and had season tickets till his dad died a few years ago) 4.  and anyteam playing UF (I just can't make myself like them plus it has the added benefit of pissing off my sister  ;D )
  13. I sit in Mutt's section, and I have come to believe that most of the people in our section think they are at a golf game. They are quiet most of the time and pretty much glued to their seats.  :-/
  14. Syracuse Orange very funny but not as funny as this ... Are you serious??? Muskets?? God I can't stop laughing. So, please do tell,  what year did they invent the musket and start exporting them to Europe?
  15. When I read this subject line I wasn't sure if I should laugh or cry. We went 9-2 and didn't get a bowl game or any respect. So going 4-0 with one of those wins againt McNeese is not going to turn any heads or get any votes.
  16. Last night during the season opener half time show, why did the band play with there backs to the homeside of the stadium?
  17. So you are assuming that the students at USF that wear UF stuff got rejected from UF. So that makes USF what??? I've read most of the posts on this tread and I'm not sure if I should be offended or just laugh. For the sake of writing more, I’ll pretend I’m offended. I happen to be exactly what you all are railing against, except that I go to UF and wear USF stuff all the time. I'm that UM fan with the USF parking pass, except that it's a USF tag and cloths with a UF parking pass. And according this thread, I’m a bad person and I should shed my Green and Gold and don the horrid Orange and Blue. OR is it ok that I’m a Bulls fan wearing USF garb and attending UF. I’m not a Gator fan, never have been and never will be and if any Gator fan ever said anything about me wearing USF stuff at UF I'd tell them to go piss off. And just for the record, I never applied to USF (they didn't teach what I'm studying), so I’m not a USF reject attending UF.
  18. Well, maybe the Oracle can report on whatever it is that UF is trying to deter (riots??). I'm referring to an e-mail that went out this morning from Billy Donovan to the entire UF student body. When I read it, it struck me as a bit odd. I'll let you all judge. Dear Students, This weekend, the Gators are in Indianapolis at the Final Four.  We want to thank our students for all their support this season.  The Rowdy Reptiles are the best fans in college basketball.  Your spirit and enthusiasm are unmatched. Please remember that Gator fans and Rowdy Reptiles alike are only rowdy in their support of the Gators.  Whether cheering us on in the O'Connell Center or out in the Gainesville community, our fans act in a first-class way, win or lose.  Let's make sure we keep that tradition alive this weekend and represent our University in the best way possible.  Remember, while watching the game or dealing with the outcome, Gators always act in a safe and responsible manner. Thank you for your support and Go Gators! Billy Donovan Head Basketball Coach
