  1. Yes, but they should have done this when they announced the game would be on Satuday, Dec 4th. Not now, just a week and a half before the game. I'm sure people waited to by plane tickets until a date was finalized. This should have been done then. Kizarvexis
  2. BTW, Memphis is #34 on the ESPN and AP polls if you run the votes out past the Top 25. USF is 1-3 vs teams getting votes (or ranked) in either poll. ESPN/AP numbers below at the time USF played them. L - @#40/- S. Carolina L - #32/29 So Miss L - @#18/15 Louisville W - @#36/41 UAB ? - #34/34 Memphis ? - #30/28 Pittsburgh Kizarvexis
  3. But wasn't that the refrain from last year too? I always want the Bulls to win, but they have been 8-7 in C-USA play. With the step up to the BE next year, I'm starting to wonder if the Bulls will do better or not. Kizarvexis
  4. I agree. USF is currently 8-7 in C-USA play. I'm thinking next year won't be very good unless the new recuits step up and deliver big. Kizarvexis
  5. Yep, I posted the text of the promotions for the Memphis and Pitt games above. Kizarvexis
  6. RJS and the Tampa Sports Authority keep track of actual attendance. I'm sure they let USF know as well. You could try calling the TSA and asking for it. Some posters here have said that they are nice about questions. Kizarvexis
  7. The Outback Jr. Bulls club is still a deal for kids under 12. For $25 they can get into both the Memphis and Pitt games (section 125 in the south endzone), plus get into ANY other USF sporting event as well until spring! A single adult can take in as many Outback Jr. Bulls kids as they like, you don't need 1 kid and 1 adult. You can get an Outback Jr. Bulls membership by calling 800-GoBulls, going to the Sun Dome box office or the ticket window at RJS on game day. The USF site also has these offers buried on the ticket page. Now, USF just needs to get these deals out to the masses. Go, go Marketing department. Kizarvexis
  8. The 30,512 average last year was the best in RJS (6 games) and 33,039 is the best overall (the first season, 7 games in the old Tampa Stadium). Until the ECU game, the Bulls were averaging 30,715. The Army game was the biggest in RJS and the second largest overall. The ECU game was the lowest C-USA game and the third lowest I-A home game. 9. Now USF's 8 year old selection to the Big East makes sense. USF and UCF in I-A and FAU, FAMU and FIU's wish to join I-A have all siphoned depth away from UF, FSU and Miami. Those three still get the top recuits, but some of the guys just below that are going to the other schools. With USF joining the Big East, a BCS conference, that should continue and probably get a little worse. So the BE fights a longer subtle counter-battle vs the ACC by selecting USF. Now the USF players and new recuits need to step up and show everyone that USF has just as much potential as anyone else even though they have only been playing football for nine years (in 2005). 10. They played it at the So Miss game. I was there and at Army. I was surprised they played it there too. If they do 3 songs, why not play each one and then repeat instead of repeating each one two or three times in a row? Kizarvexis
  11. Why not make a seperate page at the top, in the same column as the media guide with all opponent links? Break them apart by season with line breaks and put all of the BE teams at the top. I'll start some research on the links and post them back here. Kizavexis
  12. Anyone know if this draft proposal went through? Draft - POSTSEASON BOWL CERTIFICATION – EXCEPTION – DIVISION I-A FOOTBALL Kizarvexis BTW, You have Pitt at 5-3 with an upcoming game vs Notre Dame, but Pitt beat ND on Saturday.
  13. Maybe USF could work a deal with someplace like Denny's or Village INN to set up a tailgate tent serving breakfast and charge a fee that they could split? A pancake breakfast should be cheap to run. Kizarvexis
  14. Tenn Tech 25,546 ECU 25,408 <A new low for a C-USA game Kizarvexis
  15. Announced attendance for ECU was 25,408 bringing the avg down to 29,388 for the year so far. I know I had to work and couldn't get anyone to cover, but where was everyone else? Kizarvexis BTW, 10 penalties for 94 yds kept the avg down (10 for 86 avg) to under the record in '02. Last week it was 10 for 85 avg. ÂÂ
  16. Well here are the current C-USA standings. 7-1 (5-0) Louisville - Bowl Eligible (Liberty) 6-3 (4-2) UAB - Bowl Eligible 5-3 (4-2) So. Miss - needs 1 win (@TCU, UAB, Cal) 6-3 (3-3) Memphis - Bowl Eligible 5-4 (3-3) Cincinnati - needs 1 win (USF, @Lou) 4-4 (3-3) USF - needs 2 wins (@Cin, Mem, Pitt) 3-7 (3-4) Houston - out 4-5 (2-4) TCU - needs 2 wins (USM, Tul) 4-5 (2-4) Tulane - needs 2 wins (@TCU, Lou) 2-7 (2-5) ECU - out 2-7 (2-5) Army - out C-USA could have as few as 3 bowl eligible teams or as many as 7 depending on how the final games work out. Kizarvexis (from another thread, but fits here too)
  17. 18. Don't forget the USF rule. A 7+ win non-tie-in team must be picked over a 6 win non-tie-in team for a bowl spot not filled by the established bowl tie-ins. Kizarvexis
  19. I'm not so sure USF can cover that. I think it will depend on the second half UAB team showing up and not the second half Army team. Didn't some more of USF's D get injured vs UAB? Kizarvexis
  20. Yep, 13 straight games is the nation's longest active losing streak for a I-A program. It is also a new UCF record as the old one for them was 12 in '81-'82. Kizarvexis
  21. Some UCF fans on the rivals board are already calling the missed XP in OT a conspiracy by the MAC officials. Others are more realistic. UCF now has a school record 13 straight losses. Kizarvexis
  22. TTU 40 - E. Illinois 37 SC 35 - Ark 32 TCU idle Cincinnati 52 - So Miss 17 AF 31 - Army 22 Louisville 56 - Memphis 49 USF 45 - UAB 20 Houston 34 - ECU 24 Syracuse 38 - Pitt 31 Other Florida schools Ohio 17 - UCF 16 OT, UCF school record 13 losses in a row F$U 29 - Duke 7 UF 34 - Vandy 17 Clemson 24 - Miami 17 OT Final Troy St. 24 - FAU 6 FIU idle FAMU idle Hampton 24 - BCC 17 BTW, there is controversy on the UCF board on whether the missed XP in OT was good or not. It was higher than the goal posts and the refs signaled no good. Some UCFers are trying to start a conspiracy theory vs the MAC. Kizarvexis
  23. So, 2.1 yards per rush and 5.7 per pass. And then 5.99 yards per rush and 6.1 per pass. The passing hasn't changed much in yardage, but the rushing stat is huge! Go Bulls! Kizarvexis
