  1. HaHa check again, one of our commits just got rated and we are back in first.
  2. Maybe we should wait until the end before we decide, but let me know when in past years we had 8 commitments already and led the AAC
  3. Man this board never disappoints. If we don’t have commits, you know someone is going to be complaining that we haven’t gotten any. If we get commits, someone will complain that they may never sign and switch schools If we get them signed, someone will complain that it means nothing until they produce on the field If they produce on the field, someone will complain that they will transfer Some people just can’t enjoy the day.
  4. Well who knows if he ends up signing, but I must give props to Golesh and his staff, it certainly bodes well how well we are doing with recruits so far.
  5. Either way. If the ACC loses schools before their contract ends, USF will be moving from AAC. We just need to win and get ourselves in best position for whatever happens.
  6. USF chances increase each year ACC stays together and the Bulls start winning again. If the ACC stays together in next 5 years and USF can start winning AAC and going to playoffs in those five years, our odds increase
  7. Let’s start by holding Western Ky under 30 points. That would be a positive start for this defense
  8. Hmmm. I’m hoping for one,but being realistic. A new coaching staff, with mostly new players, last years worst defense vs an offense returning most of a 30+ ppg , on the road in game 1. Might be a lot to ask. Currently we are 14 points underdogs.
  9. If you look at the presentation, they do go over financials https://usf.app.box.com/v/06132023-bot-agenda There was one, no
  10. Don’t be surprised if they have. And yes I would like that. Still doesn’t change the facts that they have been all over the place and they will look like fools if they end up without any of the PAC schools after all the BS they have been putting out there
  11. They are all over the place. First the Four Corner schools are coming, then Colorado and Arizona, then UConn and Gonzaga, now Memphis. LOL
  12. And basketball is just not the big money maker football is. Look at the BigEast tv contract as a perfect example. Gonzaga will not bring them enough money to make it worthwhile
  13. Kansas like the rest of Big12 might want to go but neither SEC nor BigTen wants them. Bigger fish available
  14. The Big12 is more stable because it doesn’t have anyone the SEC and BigTen would want. The huge stumbling block is the ACC GOR.
  15. The writing is on the wall. We are going to have two big leagues. BigTen and SEC, eventually the big names from ACC will be split by the two. These two leagues will rake the big money from Fox and ESPN, the rest will get the leftovers. USF will end up somewhere in Big12 or left over ACC. Better than where we are but still outside the big leagues.
  16. Notre Dame’s independent TV contract for football comes up now. They are trying to get enough of a raise to match what BigTen gets. If they don’t, then looking to go into BigTen might be a better move, problem is that their other sports are in ACC and they supposedly signed a deal where if they join a conference it would be ACC. So if their deal is low and they want to join BigTen they will need to break that clause and their ACC GOR on non football sports. That deal is probably easier to break than the full GOR the others have. Thats why I say, watch Notre Dame first
  17. At the end of the day I think the days of FSU, Clemson, Miami and UNC in the ACC are numbered. 2036 if they can’t find a way to break the GOR or earlier if they can. There is no unbalanced payment the others can agree to do that would make up the difference SEC and BIG teams make. The big question mark is who else goes. Notre Dame is the first brick to fall because their contract is up.
  18. I completely understand what you are saying. But my point is so fat no one has found a way to break the GOR. So if that’s the case why give yourself a cut if they can’t leave. You know if they could break the GOR and SEC or Big came calling they would go regardless of whether they were making unbalance amount
  19. But once again my premise is that IF they could break the GOR they would be gone. The only thing that keeps them together until 2036 is the fact that they can’t break it. So why give the more money when you know they will bail as soon as they can. The key is can they break the GOR, so far from what we have seen from Texas, Oklahoma and the ACC, the answer isNo.
  20. Agree so if the outcome is that they will leave as soon as they can, then why give take a payout if it doesn’t solve the situation and they will leave regardless .
  21. I think the SEC would take those two to keep BigTen from getting them. You really are taking the best two athletic programs in ACC. But I agree that Virginia and UNC would bring them new markets.
  22. Problem with that, is why would the others agree to that if they know they can’t get out until GOR runs out and there isn’t any guarantee they would stay when that runs out. Would you agree to lower payouts for13 years for nothing?
