  1. True. But those additions keep their payouts until 2036. They aren’t going to lose access to CFP. So at least until 2036 there is zero reasons for any ACC team to bail for Big12.
  2. The problem with that thinking is two fold 1. Would the left over ACC schools leave the exit fees from those leaving for SEC/BT, a similar contract and access to CFP to join a B12? 2. Would a B12 adding the ACC schools get a better tv deal than they currently have and more CFP access. Right now I don’t see either of those two benefitting enough to completely absorbed the other and some leaving to go to B12 doesn’t make sense for reasons stated above. Time will tell, but I think the ACC addition of Cal, Stanford and SMU was to make sure it wouldn’t just fall apart if they lost schools to SEC and BigTen
  3. Nope. Because the cream of the ACC: FSU,Clemson UNC aren’t looking to join Big12 it’s BigTen or SEC for them. That merge solves nothing for them other than losing one guaranteed CFP spot.
  4. For a smaller bowl like this one the allot was probably 5-6k. But still nice to see us sell our share. We will probably have 8-10k when all is done.
  5. There is PepRally Wednesday at 6 pm at Mizner Park Amphitheater
  6. Price we pay if we are in running for league title
  7. I expect the Tulane, Memphis games towards end of season. Navy, Memphis might end up being Friday Night games
  8. No and knowing how AAC likes to put their contenders games towards end of season, I expect we will see Tulane and Memphis late on season and maybe a Friday Night TV game. We will know in February
  9. The league just updated the opponents HOME: Memphis, Navy, Tulsa,UAB AWAY: Charlotte,Rice,FAU,Tulane https://x.com/american_conf/status/1735011805880041831?s=61&t=lNM1t3Xm4bWmLthZc-MPtw
  10. I also thought 2025. But with SMU leaving, Tulane losing their coach and probably their QB, UTSA losing their QB. If we can get some immediate help on defense, we could be ready in 2024 We still don’t know who the league will replace SMU in our schedule with, but so far we don’t play Memphis nor Tulane in 2024. So UTSA would be the only one in our schedule that finished ahead of us in 2023. But defense will be the key. Let’s look at who we get in TF that could help right away
  11. Great to hear. Hope for continuing improvement
  12. This guy and MVer are two prolific BS posters on Twitter. They constantly post all kind of scenarios and then when finally something hits they act like Nostradamus. first off WV and Kansas or any other B12 school would have same problem as the ACC schools because they signed a GOR for their last deal.
  13. Going forward any team getting into CFP as an at large would have to finish in Top 12 to have a shot. How many ACC/ Big12 teams outside of their champions do you see finishing that high? That’s why I keep saying most years ACC/B12 will only get one team in
  14. There are some Big12 homers still thinking that they could add FSU or Clemson. They can’t face the fact that neither of those two want anything with B12 which is basically the same as ACC and behind SEC/BigTen If anyone is paying a big exit fee from the ACC is because they are joining SEC or BigTen otherwise it makes absolutely zero sense. Now assuming the ACC loses FSU,Clemson, UNC and Virginia to SEC/ BigTen. The facts still remain that moving to the B12 for any other would be a costly move for basically the same position. Adding ACC schools will not increase B12 standing nor payoff and the same goes for the other way. At the end both ACC and B12 will have ONE spot in CFP. Looking at both leagues after the 4 exits that I mentioned Big12: WV,UC,UCF,Houston,Baylor,Texas Tech,TCU,Oklahoma St,Iowa St,Kansas, Kansas St,BYU,Utah,Arizona St, Arizona,Colorado ACC: Syracuse,Boston College,Pitt,Louisville,Virginia Tech,Wake Forest,NCST,Duke, Georgia Tech,Miami,SMU,Stanford,Cal + USF,Oregon St,Washington St + Notre Dame for non football Is it really that much better for ACC schools to jump, pay 200 million exit fee for basically same money + CFP access?
  15. I think when all is set and done USF will be in a new ACC with mostly private and more academic minded schools. With the new CFP starting the conference will have one slot there and the media deal will be better than now but behind SEC, BigTen and maybe B12 but not too far from them.
  16. I hope he takes us past Leavitt. We never had double digits wins nor titles under Leavitt. We need him to take us to both
  17. That’s a transfer and a JUCO at EDGE and a whole bunch of EDGE recruits . Looks like we are set there. Now let’s get done NT,DT and DBs
  18. Just added another TE a 3star from Cincinnati. Levi Smiley
  19. That was the best I have seen the team play. Looks like going forward we are going with Pryor at center. I think he did a good job
  20. From what I have heard, no they would only qualify as an at large
  21. The latest for 2024 and 2025 is The top 5 Conference Champions 7 at large. So basically if you aren’t in Top12 in ranking you aren’t getting an at large. What this leads to is SEC/BigTen and ND basically taking those 7 at large. The chances of the ACC or Big12 having another school outside their champion in Top 12 is minimal. Another reason that makes ACC schools paying a big exit fee for a similar media deal in B12 to also compete for one CFP spot there, not a real good decision.
  22. Just added Jaylen Pettus JUCO DE from Iowa #3 Edge JUCO according to 247
  23. Yes that’s why we are averaging close to 40 points a game in conference. What we lack are better players to run it. Our offense isn’t the big issue here
