  1. It really has more to do with the SEC really not needing another team in this state. In fact adding FSU would not be supported by Florida,Georgia,Auburn and Alabama because adding FSU will just be directly hurting those schools. Clemson has the same issue. This is why UNC @nd UVA are more attractive for SEC $$$$$. They don’t really need more competitive teams, they need markets.
  2. These B12 homers are the worst. They want so hard to believe that eliminating the ACC brings them closer to the P2.
  3. I think for the BigTen there are really 4 schools that they are attracted to from ACC FSU,Miami, UNC and Virginia For the SEC: UNC and Virginia are main two In both cases they add schools in new territory. For SEC two new states and the flagships of each state. For BigTen 4 schools in new territory with the academics Big notice that Clemson doesn’t really look like a target for either. At the end I think we see SEC and BigTen each take two. More likely FSU/ Miami to BigT3n and UNC/ UVA to SEC For the ACC the big part will be forcing those four on big enough exit fees and keeping ESPN contract intact. If they achieve those two, then it makes it unprofitable for the rest to go look at Big12. The Big12 with their GOR and teams not attractive to SEC or BigTen will stay as is.
  4. Any explanation on Pryor’s absence. The team does seem to play better with him at center.
  5. I read that the Big12 schools signed a GOR so once again the money difference between the ACC and Big12 isn’t enough for schools from either side to pay to move.
  6. Absolutely and all of this is NOT about FSU. The ACC knows full well that FSU is gone sooner or later. The big outcome of these lawsuits is for the ACC and FSU to agree on a payout that will allow FSU and others to pay and head for SEC/ BigTen but with a high enough payout that would make it unprofitable for any school to bail to Big12
  7. I would say maybe Colorado State and San Diego State if they wanted another Cali school for a Western division
  8. More likely they would be happy with an ACC that looks somewhat like this. Boston College, Syracuse, Pitt, Wake Forest,Duke, Georgia Tech, SMU, Cal, Stanford with additions of USF, Tulane, Oregon St,Washington St maybe UConn and ND for non football.
  9. I’m not going to say USF is academically were they are, but they are more likely to accept being in a conference with USF as an AAU institution than with Boise or Fresno. If you have seen their history, you would easily see academics matter where they go and why they went to ACC and not Big12 and certainly B12 has better academically ranked schools than Fresno and Boise.
  10. I am saying that it is important to them to associate with schools closer to their academics.
  11. If you think Cal and Stanford will join a conference with Boise and Fresno, well then you really need to look closer at what Stanford and Cal are really like
  12. Another one of the so called Twitter experts that throws out all kind of BS scenarios so if we hits one he can claim he said it first. Another reason I hate Twitter, all these people trying to get followers and likes by posting BS.
  13. Let’s face it if FSU leaves ACC, USF is almost a slam dunk to be added. There Rea T any other options for them, that offer what we have.
  14. This one is another internet “expert” that throws all kind of BS and hope something sticks
  15. Im going to say that in PreSeason predictions we will be picked in top 3 of AAC, with Memphis and Tulane. Bama and Miami will be tough out of conference. So I would say 8-4 would be lowest prediction.
  16. USF recent AAU,OCS, bowl game and recruiting prowess this year and setting the Bulls to be a very attractive add if FSU finds a way to buy itself out of ACC and an invite from SEC/BigTen
  17. Yeah the look from the restaurant patrons was interesting to watch. For the most part they were intrigued by the bands marching by.
  18. Third highest. According to 247, Echols and Gaskin are higher
  19. Remember stadium capacity is a bit more than 30k.
  20. True. But those additions keep their payouts until 2036. They aren’t going to lose access to CFP. So at least until 2036 there is zero reasons for any ACC team to bail for Big12.
  21. The problem with that thinking is two fold 1. Would the left over ACC schools leave the exit fees from those leaving for SEC/BT, a similar contract and access to CFP to join a B12? 2. Would a B12 adding the ACC schools get a better tv deal than they currently have and more CFP access. Right now I don’t see either of those two benefitting enough to completely absorbed the other and some leaving to go to B12 doesn’t make sense for reasons stated above. Time will tell, but I think the ACC addition of Cal, Stanford and SMU was to make sure it wouldn’t just fall apart if they lost schools to SEC and BigTen
  22. Nope. Because the cream of the ACC: FSU,Clemson UNC aren’t looking to join Big12 it’s BigTen or SEC for them. That merge solves nothing for them other than losing one guaranteed CFP spot.
