  1. Well that’s to be expected for a team that has only won 1 FBS game in three years and lost many of their best players to portal. Just glad we are 1-1 and been competitive in both games with way more energy’s than I have seen in quite awhile
  2. I’m hoping we continue to show improvement and that we get no one hurt. If we stay in game with them I’ll be amazed. We need to be ready to go on a win streak after that game with Rice,Navy and UAB. None of those three are easy games but they are winnable.
  3. USF needs to align themselves with SMU,Tulane,Memphis and the PAC4. The Big12 isn’t coming for us. The ACC will lose FSU and Clemson who knows when, but when it does it will be ripped apart. Might be only Syracuse,BC,WF and one other left.
  4. I wouldn’t count on it yet. The longer Stanford keeps trying to find other places to land and waits to go forward with rebuilding the harder it will be to get teams to move. At Four they need to add at least 4, I would say 5 for next year to have at least an 8 game conference schedule. MWC schools would have to pay 34 million to exit. Don’t see that option for year 1 So really they need to raid AAC, those schools would have to pay an 18+ million exit fee. Does anyone take that jump without a media deal? How about a GOR or some type of proof that Stanford and others don’t bail after first year? So the longer this goes the most likely they have to merge with AAC.
  5. If they are adding 4-6 teams from the AAC for an Eastern Wing. We would fit and go along probably: SMU,Tulane,Rice or Memphis. WEST: Oregon State,Washington State, California,Stanford,SDSU, Colorado State EAST: SMU,Tulane,Rice,Memphis, USF, UAB
  6. Starting to look like the PAC4 are going to poach at least 4 from AAC. Kelly and our President better be on the phone with Stanford. Looks like the Tree is making the decisions.
  7. Unfortunately adding USF while FSU still there would probably be used by their supporters as another reason to bail. This is why USF should really be working hard to get into the PAC4 + AAC teams and form that 12-14 team league later on that league could add the ACC left overs. The way things are going the ACC could completely come apart if FSU and Clemson break the GOR. USF needs to find a home in whatever league has the next best group
  8. Correct if we aren’t talking with the PAC4 about being part of AAC moving there, we are failing.
  9. That’s the fear that it won’t be just FSU and Clemson leaving. The AAC having an ESPN contract that can be opened if right teams come in, is a big tool for Aresco in reaching out to PAC4. Could offer a merger keeping the PAC name and A5 title. Travel for those 4 could be kept to Texas schools and Tulsa. Let’s see if Aresco can pull this one out.
  10. The ACC now knows it must expand. They don’t want to get short handed as the PAC did. They need to move an add USF and UConn at the very least. So Immsure before we accept anything out west we remind ACC we are ready to go with them first
  11. Which is why they will need a complete Eastern Wing for 2024. Remember that for2024 they are still part of the P5 bowl deal that’s almost 5 million per team from CFP. The 17-18 million can be paid over years as those that left early. They need teams so pretty sure they would need to offer full shares. West Virginia isn’t leaving B12 for ACC they signed a long term GOR
  12. We need to see how the PAC adds after this but with four left, they must expand. if they go something like this WEST: Washington State,Oregon State, Cal, Stanford, SDSU, Colorado State, Air Force EAST: SMU, Rice, Memphis, Tulane, USF, Navy/ Wichita State, UAB that would be attractive, limit travel west and still put the league as top 5, an improvement on where we are.
  13. There will be TWO Mega conferences SEC and BigTen. They will have all the big name schools. The Big12 will be third but they will be made up of everyone the big2 didn’t want. USF will end up in a similar league closer toBig12
  14. Both will be depleted and will have to add AAC and MWC schools. It all depends on the timing. If the PAC is down to four Oregon State,Washington State,Stanford and California they will have to add schools and most likely also form an eastern wing from AAC schools. If they can get 12-15 million for a 12-14 league, that’s twice what we currently make, gets us in a league with Stanford and California good academics and if they make an eastern wing we would be mostly traveling to AAC schools. Wecant be waiting for something down the road.
  15. Well that leaves FSU and Clemson as the last two big gets outside of BigTen and SEC. I’m not counting Notre Dame. So that P2 split could be coming sooner than most of us thought. So it looks like for USF it might be a depleted ACC or PAC. Most likely the first. But it depends on who would be left there if FSU and Clemson leave.
  16. At this point if the PAC blows up with only OSU and WSU are left. One of best move for those left over is a best of MWC/AAC league. WEST: Oregon St,Washington State,Boise,Fresno,SDSU,Air Force, Colorado St EAST: SMU,UTSA,Tulane,Memphis,USF,ECU,Navy/Wichita St You could do a mix ESPN/ Apple deal there for close to 15 million Would be better deal unless ACC comes calling if only FSU/ Clemson left.
  17. Eventually money will dry out except for the SEC and BigTen the rest will get less but be in big national conferences. Only a matter of time before football gets separated from other sports for those outside of the P2
  18. In that scenario they would get some extra money from BigTen for their away Conference games which would now be covered by BigTen contract. Look I don’t have all the answers, nor am I saying that’s what’s happening. I’m just proposing a possible reason for it. We know FSU/ Clemson want out. This would be a way for all to get something out of it. FSU/ Clemson get into BigTen. Get the ESPN money plus a bit more from BigTen contract for their away conference games on BT networks. ACC gets the exit fees, which I’m sure will be high. Gets them to guarantee them playing 1-2 games a year till 2036 vs them. Gets their TV contract as is and with the addition of two more schools. Same amount from ESPN. Those two schools might take less so more for remaining schools. ESPN for 60 million gets FSU/ Clemson home games till 2036 and thus gets 4 games each vs BigTen schools. Getting back into BT without a huge expense. It would had cost them way more than 60 a million to get BT piece plus no guarantee it would had been a big name.
  19. Two things. First off it gets them into BigTen content with two big names at a lower cost than what they would have to pay BigTen, because they weren’t paying BigTen 60 million it was much more and they would likely be getting Indiana vs Purdue instead. Im going to say they will guarantee the ACC same amount no loss of money would make them more likely to go along. Finally don’t be surprised if FSU and Clemson have to play at least one game a year vs ACC till 2036. Guess who covers that game ESPN The talk is Oregon/ Washington and FSU/ Clemson to BigTen
  20. Keep those fingers crossed and candles lit that if FSU and Clemson exit ACC, the Bulls slide in
  21. I think ESPN is behind it once again. Since they have the ACC schools GOR until 2036. They can technically keep FSU home games rights if they go BigTen. So they are in a way buying themselves into BigTen content they didn’t have. Now they will probably have to add two replacements and still pay ACC same contract amount they were with FSU and Clemson.
  22. We have no idea on coaches nor players since so many are new. So it will be a huge question mark until we see them on the field. Im hoping to see better play specially defensively and that we pull out a win. But that just me, I expect to win every games, that’s why the last three years have been horrific
  23. It will be interesting to see how it works. This could be a way that ESPN gets access to BigTen games since they own the rights to FSU and Clemson home games until 2036. If as you said ACC sold those rights to ESPN. ESPN would then have to not penalize the ACC contract for FSU and Clemson moving. Thus FSU and Clemson would just be paying exit fees to ACC since they wouldn’t be breaking GOR and the conference isn’t losing any tv money. Question is, would ACC then add at least two to replace them. This could be interesting for the Bulls
  24. We have many positives and have won in past. But let’s be realistic we are horrible in football and basketball lately, for a conference like the B12 or PAC that is reeling and needs names that will bolster the way people look at it, adding USF at 1-11 and with 4 wins in last three years would be a PR nightmare. We need to win this year, so we at least have the semblance that we are on our way up
