Great trip. Yes, @MikeGhad media credentials. We played poker, drank and got up early after the game for a very early flight. I believe Mike and I snuck a peek at the black tie soiree USF had for NYE but went and met up with others for the poker game.

Just started listening to these guys this season. Will have to go back and listen to some of the shenanigan's of the earlier episodes. I think these guys were next to me in row 1 at Annapolis. They were definitely going crazy on the wall.

Any thoughts of the city, stadium or traditions from those of you who attended the game for the first time?
So much history. The march on was very cool and the fact that they did our cheer and tipped their caps to us was very respectful. The Maryland Inn downtown was my favorite bar. A basement bar in the bottom of the oldest hotel in the US. They start the ghost tours there and I was told one of the rooms isn't sold anymore due to the ghosts of the deceased female and male who haunt the room.

Haunted by long-dead guests from the Revolutionary War era, join us as we check into the Maryland Inn, the oldest continually-operated hotel in Annapolis. -

Sounds like you guys enjoyed it. If the wife is healthy (meaning she can walk on her own) by our next visit would love to go up with our daughter and her family.
Same boat. I had a great visit with my daughter and hoping my wife is healthy enough to join us next time.

I was able to hang with @Ricky the Bull @Jim Johnson and I met @BullsWinBucsWin and we had blast with his group closing down an old school arcade while celebrating our win!

My daughter and I will be attending. I'm flying into Raleigh tomorrow night and we are driving over Friday morning. Staying at an Air BnB near the stadium. Will be attending the Friday night gathering and probably the Alumni tailgate unless we come across an alternative.

I paid $1K for club seats (yesterday for my wife and kids). They ended up squeezing into my front row seats in the end zone… all five of us into two seats. I had given away my four seats in 123 row two - I wasn’t going to kick my buddies out of those seats. Club seats are blah… I want to be loud in the end zone.
I thought I saw you on the Jumbotron pounding on the end zone mats.

I'm with ya. But I refuse to let myself get excited about this season. I will say that I've gone from "don't care" to "cautiously optimistic." But I still don't expect anything. SHOW ME.
Agree. Although I have never gone into a season in the "don't care" mode, I am always cautiously optimistic. I believe it's the standard nowadays for Bulls football fans.

I hope I am wrong but need to see improvement on defense before I get too excited about this team. DC Orlando talked about how the lack of tackling hurt this team last year. Let's hope he has corrected this.

Thanks for the mention @Brad. Haven't been on here in quite a while but lurked every now and then and have tried to re-engage. Of course, out of this great site was born the Bull Backers. We had quite the group in the beginning and had a couple of great travel events. It's unfortunate the group faded due to people not renewing, moving and just general attrition of any group. Thanks to @MikeG and the others that keep the paperwork filed in case it ever fires up again. And yes, @WoolyBully, we are old! Hopefully my grandkids will be tailgating with me soon. And I always appreciated the support of my online business from this group. Too bad that faded off also.

I think I was probably USFDave back in those days and running my own site, but I was here and appreciate greatly all that Brad has done to keep the fire burning. Can we nominate him for the USF HOF?
I believe you were Dave. You and I met when I I wanted to start my online business and had to change my name due to a conflict.

And since you mentioned it, the only two bowl games I traveled to were Meineke Charlotte x NCSU back in '05 and Brut/Sun El Paso x Oregon in '07. @bullsmania & I attended the St. Petersburg bowl just to see a football field wedged into Tropicana Field. Charlotte is where the relatives are encamped, and El Paso was the 'biggest' bowl game to date. @E.T. , @LakeBull (I think) attended some sort of senior bowl sort of game in Orlando once back when Huey Whittaker was playing.
We - the Mrs. & I - have always said we'd head to another bowl game of merit, when it rolls around. Not being rude, or anything, but the list of current options are - just sayin' - not exactly engaging travel destinations and the opponents are not very engaging either (that's just opinion, still waiting on a big P5 option before using my Southwest air miles).
Ha! That St. Pete bowl was hilarious. We didn't even stick around. I think we walked around more than we watched the game. Just couldn't get into watching football in that venue. Good times Dean!
