FWIW - SDSU's athletics revenue jumped nearly 64% after opening their OCS. From ~$66MM in 21/22 to $104MM in 22/23. This also coincides with their NCAAB tourney run, so that helped tremendously. USF's athletics revenue for '23 was almost $71MM. With the return of the football/basketball programs to relevance, we can expect this revenue to increase a bit (hopefully more than a bit) over the next couple years (*crosses fingers*). Using a similar, but slightly lower multiple of 50% increase in revenue, on a guesstimate of $75MM in revenue for '25/26, is it out of the realm of possibility to say we can realize $110MM in athletics revenue come '27/28? That's with a standardized conference distribution of ~$8MM. This revenue would put us in the same ballpark as schools like Iowa St., Miss. St., Texas Tech, Rutgers, Maryland, GaTech, WVU, OkSt, UCLA, NCSt, Kansas St. and others. Sell out for 3-5 years in a row = expansion. USF athletics should have a "wait list" for season tickets come time for new stadium to give them a good idea with overall demand.

This is still a risk/reward game - the economics must work for both sides. Orlando FC is averaging ~19k fans per game in a 25k seat stadium. They have the ability to offer rev share splits to c for whatever payout - to the collective, to the school, etc, to boost attendance. The Lightning do not have empty seats (although I would expect Vinik to 100% be on board with something like this). The Bucs haven't either, but that could be slowly changing as the Brady/Super Bowl fever wears off. The Rays could do this today, and I expect as USF continues to increase support/momentum/media coverage, the Rays could very well be interested. Stu poses other difficulties - his heart isn't in Tampa Bay at all.

SMU receives a full share if someone leaves the conference. The second FSU wiggles free - they become a full-share member. AG Moody sued the ACC for disclosure over their tv contract today (yesterday?). That situation is accelerating.

I'm going to be concerned until how we look as a team. CY wasn't just a good scorer last year - he was the leader of the team and CAAR even mentioned CY would keep him in check during games as well. Who is going to step into that role this year? Either way, I hope to see a great product and competitive team again next year, will be inquiring about season tickets.

Honest question - why do we recruit so many international players? Does CJF not have good recruiting ties domestically?

JUCO is underrecruited in both basketball and football. Especially with NIL - so many coaches/admins are focused on who they can get from other rosters. As long as these guys develop(ed) well fundamentally, there's no reason they can't come in and compete/continue where they left off in the JUCO ranks.

Dude you've gotta give it up. Baseball since Billy was hired has been a loser, outside of ONE postseason which we are all grateful for (also made the regional his first season as coach, so we can count that one). That super regional season we went 14-14 in conference play, finished 6th, then ended up winning the tournament which was our only way to get into a regional. He's been to regionals twice, and finished last in the conference 3 times and the overall regression line is negative, which means we are getting worse. First year, second in conference (14-9-1), regional appearance, 34-26-1 overall Second year, 8-16, last in conference, 26-27 overall Third year, COVID year, no conference play, 6-11 overall Fourth year, sixth in conference, 14-14, super regional (first ever, super cool), 31-30 overall Fifth year, last in conference, 8-16, 28-29 overall Sixth year, last in conference, 7-17, 21-39 overall This year, currently 7-5 in conference sitting in third, 21-16 overall. Looks better than previous years and hopefully we can catch fire again. Unfortunately "catching fire" is the only hope for CBM lead squads at USF. They just aren't coached well. All that said, Bulls Tennis vs #1 seed Memphis today at 3pm. I think these should be on ESPN+, so tune in (same with Women's tennis at 1pm against Rice).

I think I could shoot better than 39% from the FT line. Hope that's a misleading stat. Even 50% from the FT by a single player can lose you a game when they're targeted late by the other team. Hopefully it never comes to that!
