  1. I have parents in their 80’s riding it out in Bradenton right outside the evac zone in a house built in early 90’s, this is the only time I have ever been worried about their safety during one of these storms.
  2. You are going to a level that most of us can’t comprehend, please refrain from these thought provoking statements and dumb it back down please. If something bad happens there is always someone to blame no matter what it is.
  3. Yes, Houston, Galveston, Beaumont. I was in your neck of the woods then, originally moved to San Antonio. Either way, appears most of you have dodged a bullet. The ones south I am sending good thoughts. Good luck everyone!
  4. The irony is I have had my roof replaced twice in the last 5 years due to hail, we get tornadoes, oppressive heat, crime, traffic, it is almost like I never left Florida.
  5. Yep, twice I filled up the fridge only to lose power and had to throw everything out. I was inland so no damage, got tired of it and left for Texas shortly thereafter.
  6. Is good, good or bad? Either way, I will stand in during your absence. I will bash anyone that does not remotely agree that CJS is trash and should be fired immediately. I will limit my CJS posts bashing to 7-8 per hour, am I missing anything?
  7. I was thinking the same, even with a full week without distractions we look lost, this performance will be a freakin embarrassment. We should simply cancel it if we receive more than a quarter inch of rain and blame Ian.
  8. FAU types don’t attend their own games and will not be attending, FAU is in town up here and I would never dream of driving the 25 minutes over to watch them, I don’t have much of a life but there is a line I refuse to cross.
  9. You are quite salty after your trip back from Kentucky, appears the effort left you a tad bit disappointed.
  10. Where are the half coming from and why would they go watch these sorry ass teams, it will be 90 percent empty. You will get a few grads from the area that will attend but that should be it. You would have to be a complete loser to watch this game,(I will be tuning in). BDYZR was being overly sarcastic, not sure how you missed that one.
  11. I know today is a normal off day but wouldn’t you try to get one in today in preparation knowing the week is going to provide 1 or more disruptions. Do we even think about this kind of thing?
  12. CJS has been an outright disaster and is in over his head. That is blatantly obvious but what can you do, we extended him and he is our skipper and appears he will go down with the ship.
  13. The irony is that you are advocating for Chad Morris to replace him and his last College Head Coaching stint had him at 0-14 in conference. Our very own CJS has had more success in conference play then the guy you want. Stay the course, good things are on the horizon.
  14. We won’t have 10 until 2027, by then the foundation will be rock solid.
  15. Patience is a virtue and it is imperative we exercise a level of caution when expecting immediate success. CJS is laying a foundation that will yield another win or two this year and who knows maybe we get 4 next year as we begin to enjoy the fruits of his labor. We will get there, it just takes time.
  16. It has relevance, he was resurrecting a program that was shut down due to a financial scandal. He was working with a reduced scholarship level while trying to implement a culture of accountability. His efforts while unsuccessful were altruistic and valiant. I put him right up there with Eddie Robinson as the most influential HBCU coach in history!
  17. Statistically impossible, he can coach into perpetuity and we will never be at zero win percentage thanks to Temple. We win one ******* game in 3 years and I missed it.
  18. This maybe a little out of character but I couldn’t care less if the game is cancelled and just hoping you guys don’t have to suffer through a Hurricane. Remember Andrew, Wilma, Charlie etc… the power outages, looting, trying to get property repaired in the chaos absolutely sucks. As long as you guys dodge the bullet, they can cancel the game and I would still be happy. Good luck everyone!
  19. I guess it is hard to blame him, very little to cheer for or to be optimistic about following our FB and MBB team. Either way, we stay on the current trajectory then I hope the last one leaving remembers to turn out the lights.
  20. That was only for hoops though, he is still a Bulls fan first for football which could be a contributor to our woes.
  21. I may be in the minority but I don’t want a coach to tell me this is his destination, I want someone that wants to come in and win immediately and bounce for a better opportunity. Our coach is interested in building a family and providing a stable home environment, this is a red flag. Like I have said, nepotism…he is not hungry enough, he came from a tree of a failed coach. I was never thrilled with this hire from day one but was with CCS and CSH so to Brad’s point, it is a crapshoot.
  22. I am worried about selecting the right application, we are 0-2 for the last two, need to find someone that knows how to coach. Why we felt the need to select someone with no experience as a head coach or calling plays was stupid and we are paying the price. He lacks the experience and is a slow study, dude is just not that bright IMO.
  23. My satirical font must have been off, either way I am kicking myself for not betting The Ville, we not only don’t win on the road, we normally don’t compete and we got that out of our system last week.
