  1. Ok, comparison to Genshaft and Woodard stung and will take another bite at the apple. We are more of a opening band with aspirations of being a headliner. USF has potential and has upgraded their project manager Kelly who is working to improve their brand however the budget is tight and odds are long because being in the group of 5 we are constantly trying to validate our program and it is tiresome. Beating, Clemson, Miami, Auburn, FSU, Notre Dame etc.. for a program that is still a few years short of their silver anniversary is impressive, with that said I still would not mind hearing come on Eileen at the Ray Jay prior to kickoff.
  2. Absolutely a fantastic story and safe to say we are all rooting for the kid to make it.
  3. We really are the epitome of a “one hit wonder”, I like the idea of having a different one hit wonder band come and perform pre-game, we could start with Dexy,’s Midnight Runners. On the bright side it is still better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.
  4. Money and exposure does make it a no brainer. Heck I want the championship like everyone else but have never bothered to watch an AAC championship, however will waste hours commenting why a 3rd string QB is leaving a team in the off season following a six game losing streak.
  5. Good point, Corey Lea’s boy was talented however educational challenged, will try to be less controversial in the future
  6. I have wanted a conference champion since Hector was a pup however this is an easy one, NY6 by a mile. This will not even generate a discussion, BCS bowl way better than a conf title, not even close.
  7. Agreed, I have no qualms with a guy that could not make the grades, I wish him well in Juco or some other more irrelevant university, he will land on his feet, he has talent.
  8. Good point and the school is getting more difficult. These schools have one set of admission standards for students and a lesser one for the second tier sports and an even lower one for football and basketball players. Obviously they have to at least meet the minimum requirements set by the NCAA. My guess is still academics and he still would have played in the spring game because his grades were not final at the time. Once again light class load fall, college ready classes squeaked by and then did not have the skill or will and flamed out in the spring. No shame and no evidence of this however to me the most logical reason. I guess this still makes me a coward for some insane reason.
  9. Agreed, trivia night at local craft beer house, I was excited to have him, he had game and hope he stays, I am out.
  10. He took a really light load his fall year ( b/c football season)and he was likely taking pre-college classes to prepare himself for a legit college class, yes even an admission requirement for an athlete does not mean he met the min math/reading scores to take all college level classes. He took a full load of college classes in the spring and shat the bed is my guess. Live in Texas and aware of pot smoking players however if you think habitual pot smoking players do not struggle in school than you are mistaken. I am simply speculating like you , however I still feel it was grades.
  11. They don’t make it public so I have no idea who failed out. However CCS had a mass exodus at both Texas in his first year and USF last year. I am a coward for guessing a kid fails out or stopped going to class? His high school was rated a 1 out of 10 in college readiness for Georgia schools which are once again no bueno. Only a logical person would guess he struggled with the course work. On the second point, more than one or two scores up would not have UW exit their game plan, go back and read you post big man.
  12. He was redshirted like most Freshman QB’s, he would not have seen the field much this year unless BB got hurt which was possible. Next year he would definitely be in the hunt.
  13. These seem awfully generous to our opponents, USF a favorite on the road against GT, over a TD against Cincy? These seem off?
  14. I am guessing grades, Georgia school system is awful w/exception of suburban Atlanta. He was going to compete for a starting role and no reason to leave. I refrained from piling on when you made the dumbest comment of all time a couple days ago. You stated “if we win the toss and score then UW will ditch their game plan” however when you shame the board and call people cowards than you have established yourself as a D-bag and the gloves are off.
  15. Good points, my thoughts are it opens at 11, goes up to 12.5 on the Chicago money than settles back to 12 by kickoff as we overthink and over analyze this game into perpetuity. It won’t matter anyways hurricane Barry warnings for Tampa cause the game to be cancelled with no make up date.
  16. True, however in these swamp A$$ conditions I find a sticky sack more problematic, my recommendation is to powder up and powder often for both the players and fans to combat the humidity. Good point New England
  17. Anytime you are laying 2 plus scores it would need to be a surprise, that we will agree. We tend to look at this only from one side, UW aside from a fantastic RB, their Off line is young and unproven, not sure who will QB maybe a true freshman. First game, long road trip, swampy conditions, slippery ball, possibly under estimate their competition, bunch of kids. this is not the NFL, a long shot but maybe not as long as many think. New year, I will continue to live in my ignorant bliss until they prove me otherwise.
  18. I really doubt we will be calling for Bell’s head regardless of what happens and agree UW will control the ball. I like the idea of Wisconsin not having any tape to prepare and also believe the line will have Wisconsin as a 14 plus favorite. I will admit scoring at will is a stretch however first game could surprise us. We all remember the opener against McNeese State, anything can happen both good and bad. I choose to think good thoughts even if a tad bit naive.
  19. Referencing earlier post from Deldabull saying he is from Missouri, skeptical that USF will beat Wisconsin. Show me... I was simply stating that they have showed me nothing to believe they can beat UW and I still believe, not from Missouri. Agreed Mizzou even with an NFL QB struggled last year.’, they don’t have the depth to compete in the SEC this year either IMO.
  20. We all hope however feels illogical to think We can stop a future NFL back and one of the best in CFB this year and a young but always massive o line in Wisconsin when we gave up over 350 to Tulane on the ground at home last year and could not effectively stop anyone. We have plenty of players on D but to think we are deep at LB is comical and our DLine is unproven. With this being said I still believe USF will score at will and make enough stops to come out on top. I guess I am not from Mizzou and have drank the kool aid, I am cautiously optimistic or just plain ignorant, we will see.
  21. But we didn’t and that is the point. If a frog had a glass A$$ it would bust when it hopped. It has lost its luster now that we do not share a conference.
  22. Interesting if a conference game, if not it loses its appeal. If we were able to play them in a future conference game I would wet myself and then go set a couch on fire, win or lose.
