    3 years of college changes a kids perspective. If they want to play pro ball, then many will say it's time to go regardless of how much more money they make.

    Yes, plenty of talent, but let me be clear. It's the best opportunity of the "big" sports to win a title. Much better chance to compete against the big boys in baseball than in football or basketball. But it is still very difficult to win it all. It is kind of ridiculous how long we have gone without a conference championship though.

    Yeah, maybe I should have said 12-20. Either way, I'm pretty sure he goes 1st round and he signs no matter what. He added zeroes to his contract either way. And yes, I meant Yager.

    Shane is going upper half of 1st round and getting a pay day. His late season "swoon" takes him from top 3-8 to 10-15 probably. And I think we will lose some of those position players to the draft. I think Hager could find himself in the weekend rotation as well. Curious to see how Ragsdale, Hoffman, and some of these other young pitchers develop between now and next season

    So a guy with an era of 6+ held us to 1 run? Shocking. I bet SM was in the dugout again. Told ya' we should have left him in Tampa. Can't wait for that National Title next year once he goes pro!

    Those are just the facts man. I'm not fighting ayway. At this point I'm just hacking and laughing at the incredible double standard. I don't get why the only concern with this team is how many innings SM throws .... geez

    Nah, I don't need to bait anyone. I was commenting on the fact that it took to the 11th and deep into the pitching staff of the 150th RPI team for some clutch hitting. But hey who cares, we should only be concerned over how many innings our #1 draft pick throws

    5.1, 4 earned runs and it took a great catch in the first or it could of been worse and the only question on the board is why Mohl didn't take him out sooner> . he hasn't had a good outing in the past 5 and our only concern is that SM only gives us 5 innings of 0-2 ER's? It doesn't matter to me? What ever floats anyone's boat, but the "standard" they are being held to shouldn't be that different. A 6+ ERA isn't good regardless. But hey, whatever.

    He kept us in the game, only allowed 2 runs. What's Pete's ERA over his last 5 starts? 6+?
