Nothing says Big Time hoops more than hiring a local HS coach.
They all evolve from somewhere. Past USF player-Successful high school coach, be a nice hire as an assistant to come in and see if his knowledge/input could help BG get some offense and win some games. And it would be his debut to see what he has at the D-1 level. One never knows do One??

He is our first fullback in years. Ive been talking about him. Good thing about him was that there was plenty of footage of him out running his opponents in addition to rumming through them so he is not slow.
So Albritton drinks "rum"? You would think that would slow him down to Islandy Time...

I remember when this local kid signed on paper, he looked good. Be interesting to see how he does in the portal see if any P5's are still interested. He doesn't have much of a resume from his time at USF. CJS mentioned they were looking to fill some spots and I would hope some are with big O lineman. Spring game is over so the individual interviews are being held, might be more heading out??

Possibly he needs to be a 2 sport player at USF................Football and Baseball. I like the experiment

If he turns out to be really good, we can nickname him "Doc Murder"
And..if he isnt any good we can call him: Murder She Wrote.......Off. So, commitment from a guy with some strong P5 offers?? Guess it will be interesting to see if he signs

Also thought the Touch Game was a nice angle, enjoying seeing a ton of familiar names, if not familiar bodies, out there ..... with the Dancing Bear's pick my highlight.
Along the same vein of your Dukes' assessment, going old school, Albritton reminded me of Don Nottingham, the human bowling ball ...... and the biggest eye opener for me was seeing Matos out there. He looks like the prototypical edge rusher and hopefully they can really coach him up.
When CJS said they call Albritton-Alstott it conjured up old memories. Alstott was fun to watch. I hope the kid fits the bill that would be a weapon.

We took the time yesterday to listen to the game and drink some beers at the same time. it was interesting. The play by was good and provided some bio/inside info on the players which helped. I thought Marsh did a pretty good job and was consistent. McClain struggled early but seemed to settle in. I figured BJ would come out in the Touch Game and excel and that he did. That game was a nice angle but could have been longer. The postgame interview? I like that Scott is upbeat. We may think its his role but when you hear repetitive players speak highly of him that puts some reality on his relationships. Dukes, is a hoot. He's like a small bulldozer crossed with Lou Reed. Nice personality. McClain, last year he looked like a boy this year he looks like a man. Time will tell. It was a Spring game-practice not meant to exhibit too much but gives you a little insight. In another interview that Coach Trickett had, he was talking Marsh. He likes his size and his heart but said he needs to work on a number of things to be really good. Never know, right coach could make Marsh into a heck of a player-he reminds me of Doug Willaims. We went away positive.

So should USF hold out for the ACC invite or jump on Big 12 invite? Or wait it out for the Big Ten?

That is probably less true in this case because just about every prediction for B12 expansion has already been mentioning USF as a likely contender. He would have plenty of cover and might even look worse NOT advocating for USF.
Yes, but that also could be less true since we were overlooked on the recent go around and, there are other teams in the conversation besides USF that have been more successful on the field and on the court. MK could be looking at a double-edged sword when/if the topic arises in the future?? Our revolving "speculation" dreaming about the B12. And remember what they say about "speculation", too much of it and you could go blind....
-
Hmm?? Not quite sure CM is ready for the NBA. Poss testing the waters but...naw

If MK got that gig it could hurt us more than help us getting to the B12. MK being the PC, square shooter he projects, wouldn't want to have the appearance that he brought USF in due to his association with USF. Thus, we would prob be overlooked.

If McC was supposed to toss it to the sideline/outside shoulder? Then nice throw poor route judgement by the recvr. ( I think this might be the case) If the reverse? Then the throw sucked and the recvr made a great adjustment/catch. The ball was in the vicinity-recvr caught it-Thats a start.

As much as I like Grothe I think he will be rusty. BJ is still active on the field and weights, etc. I was surprised that he didnt make one more run at the NFL because I think the guy is a play maker and I dont care that he isnt 6'-3". I think Gold will prob prevail and he will make some nifty plays. Just hope none of these "old guys" gets to beat up. There will be lots of Icy Hot going on that evening.

Understood, but that would still have given us one more year...and that was the year we should have won the conference (and would have been likely playing on NYD).
Ok. I like your dream better than mine

More like $290mil from what I understand. But the reality is that there will no doubt be financing involved. So we really don't need all of it from donations. Not sure how much is needed in donations to be enough to get it going, though.
Naw, I heard it was $289 million

Alright!! Great stuff and appreciated by Bull's Fans. Only $190mil to go it's all downhill from here on.
