Wow now that is some awesome stuff! That pic is incredible man! That must be such an incredible memory for you. Well, you have certainly seen your share of championships.
Those were the nicest bunch of guys to a little kid back then. Just regular guys. Play catch with you. Converse with you. My son has the autographed ball from that team I finally parted with it a few years ago. Obviously, that made me a LA Dodgers fan for many years. Walt Alston (Mgr) always made it a point to take me around and introduce me to the visiting team. I lived down the street, so I was a baseball park rat. of course, I did hear some cuss words back then I had never heard before. The locker room sights and sounds were an enlightening experience for a 10 yr old Catholic school kid.

I’ve already explained this like 1000 times. But I’ll do it again. I’ve lived in New England for 24 years. I’ve lived in NY (go Rangers!) KC, Philly, Tampa, Boston (go Red Sox!), and Atlanta. My Ram fandom started in 1974. Living in a small southern town before cable there were 4 tv channels. At that time the 1:00pm game was always the Falcons. I was never a fan of them and hardly anyone cheered for them as they were terrible. Because the Falcons were in the NFC West at the time, that meant that the 4 o’clock game how to include an NFC west team. Thus, we got a lot of Rams and 49er games during that time. So to answer your question I essentially grew up on the Rams. I loved those teams from the 1970s but they would usually lose to the Cowboys or Vikings in the playoffs. Although I I followed the The team in St. Louis it wasn’t the same as them being in Los Angeles. So when I moved back five years ago, it was pretty special to me relative to my childhood. I could tell you hundreds of stories regarding my Ram fandom experience (flying to see them play, **** I used to do when I was younger) that are funny as hell but I’ll save that for another time. Oh, and by the way, I hate the Patriots and suffered like hell when they beat the Rams three years ago. The Red Sox are the only team around here I support. Now I’ve seen all of my teams win at least one championship…except one…USF has to win a conference championship at some friggin point before I die.
Los Angeles?? Now I know why you feel akin (soft spot) to me..The LA kid connection. 1959(yep World Series Champs year). I was their bat boy for 5 games in Sarasota (spring training). My idol "The Duke".(prob before you were born so consider this LA Historical Perspective) Thought you might get a kick out of some LA old days stuff.
BTW thanks for the historical perspective of "The NEB". Now I don't have to buy the book or rent the movie....

Ha…ref’s gave the Bungels a free TD on the first play of 2nd half. So it evens out there. Rams are champs!!! Wilcox was in for every special teams play and played one offensive snap…pretty much what I expected.

Ha! refs were an integral part of that final drive to seal the deal. Bengals had a great season. Saw Wilcox coming off the field a couple times, it was nice he got to play in a Super Bowl. I imagine his family were excited and very proud.

I'm trying to remember all the details from our president hunt a few years ago. I think for some of these high profile jobs for public schools like ours (president and AD type hires), some of the candidates hold off until the 11th hour. I think they try to avoid their name getting publicly out there since some times it can be awkward given their current job. Especially they're already a president/chancellor somewhere. People are more understanding if you're reaching up position wise. I'm really fuzzy but I swear one of the presidential candidates from when we were looking for Hitt's retirement eventually stepped away from his current job once his name was leaked as being in the hunt for the UCF job.
TLDR: some candidates for president jobs try to stay on the DL and officially throw their name in until the very end so it doesn't blow up that they're trying to leave their current employer.

Wilcox has played quite a bit of special teams during the season on both sides of the ball. With the injury to the #1 TE and how hard the Rams D comes at people, he could be splitting some more game time especially if he adds to the blcoking.

The golden rule that used to be taught to everyone is that if you want to dish it then you have to learn to take it. Somehow this valuable lesson fell by the wayside and now you simply become offended and demand the other person is canceled.
Yes! Cancelled or cancelled

Anyone over 50 should be shown the door. We need someone young with energy to lead. No loud mouths either (like a prior US president), we need someone who can schmooze while taking people’s money. I would prefer that the stadium would have been green lighted before a new President steps in but that does not look like it will happen. Best situation is if Law took the position for five years as well. But now we roll the dice and see.

If you're talking about the TBT article, these 11 are long shot applicants that will probably not be given any consideration. I'm sure we have 4 or 5 serious contenders that have applied. Anyone know where to find those?
Let us Hope so... I still say, close the deal on with the interim prez. Cut a 3 year deal $$ since things at USF are extremely important/pivotal currently. Wrong one gets in there?? Of course, reading through the candidate info there was the one guy who says, Yep I'm 79 years old but hey--just look at the age of the current US president....Ha! Now there's a strong selling point-Not
Ok, I'm done with this topic I've had all the fun I could squeeze out of it.

?? Anybody read the summary that was out on the current applicants? Lordy, is that the best that USF can draw? If this hyphen name guy is from Valencia, Ca, it appears he may have just ran unsuccessfully for Congress in Ca. We just had a president from California and that went well-Not! Reading the candidates bio's and their pitches hell, I may send an application in for the job. At least I would promise fun, excitement, great athletics and......I'm homegrown! Let's just keep the gal we have. Somebody con her into it. Grease her $$. I sure hope USF doesn't hire some friggin off the wall, goofball.

Jeezus it is like reading the Bullspen except they are just a tad more polite than some people on here who have driven away numerous people.
Yep, TBP isn't for the faint of heart. You have to be able to take it and dish it to survive. Otherwise, you have to go to the TWP where feelings won't get hurt. Whew! glad I'm not in that "some people" category

Funny--I showed the video to my wife at which point she said, "remember when he would get the ball stolen, he would then commit a foul on the other player".

Lost his mind penalty. Wouldn't be surprised if he might not be done at Clemson. Cheap Shot. Probably the most hated guy in the ACC currently.

Yep. Seems he had his accusation time per he above posted article in 2017. Now in 2022 he gets the ear of a herald writer and rehashes the same thing over again. Maybe Heath and USF did or did not do something relating to this guy?? Thing is, he has a bum ankle tough to play basketball with a reoccurring ankle injury. Seems he has job/career jumped a few times since he was at USF so maybe he isn't happy with life. If he wants to be a coach hopefully, he teaches players to be positive and doesn't drone on about what he could have been.

Well if true if shows complete negligence on the part of the USF basketball program. It makes it look Heath look like a dirt ball. If true, I have no problem with a kid holding a grudge.
AHHA!!! the key words being: "if true" problem is, it's already in print. I was under the impression that USF has always had a pretty good medical program for athletes. Ten years ago. Obviously, he transferred and played in Tx where he must have broken his foot yet again since, he mentions 3 breaks. USF paid $50 grand for his bills at which point had break#3 in Mx. Apparently, his ankle was the weak link to his prolonged playing days. Kinda a non-thing but it promotes conversation. If he has as much basketball ability as self-described, maybe he can help create the next generation of college players. I remember him and that USF team.

Wow...this makes USF look terrible.
Only looks terrible hearing it from one side of the story who, decided to go public after many years. Way I read it, I hope he just goes on with his life and makes some positives in the lives of the youth he will teach and coach. Lots of water under that bridge for this to even get into print. Drop the apparent grudge and make a difference in some lives. Kinda reminds me of the CJL accuser. I imagine we all can think of a time in our lives where we felt very wronged by someone or someplace-move on young man (not you neb) find some positive.

Interesting. Hopefully he will be a "good" teacher and coach. There are more stories of people who try to attain their sports dream than stories of people who have attained that dream. It's that Life stuff.

Ok, I'm giving you a "laughing little face guy" for your injection of timely humor. The topic appeared to be slowly dying. I do believe however, "asswipers" may have a hypen? Lastly, your profile pic looks like you have a side of beef on your head so that was a plus too.

Wouldn't you (not you specifically) think that he'd be sitting with the VPofA up in his little loge box if he were being courted? Or at least speaking with MK at some point?
He might be kryptonite right now prob better for MK and FB staff to maintain a buffer until the dust settles. When he was canned from the Bucs he hung out in the area, went and helped out at a high school I think it was?? USF would prob be gun shy of the potential badddddd press if he got to close to the football field. Now, our ballsy trustee?? Cocktail time.....
Bulls will have open competition for QB

Agree with some comments above. McC has yet to show he is a top level D-1 QB. Yes, lots of variables can be stated that had negative effect on his chances to make good plays. Marsh oddly, is the most senior QB we have and yep again, he showed little to no improvement last year. I got the feeling last season that CJS was "all in" on McC and possibly had blinders on when it came to the other QB's. Now, we have some high school contenders, are they talented enough to take on the D-1 world?? Stay tuned...were still in the "who know's" world of USF football.
