    i don't think it really matters if the schedule is bad or not. What matters is that there are no real power five teams on it, so we need to make it look as bad as possible. No battles, we need blowouts.

    Agreed. Game one is a big one in terms of winning the series. Don't want to be in the position of having to go all out in game two

    I heard Kingston speak about hitting and his philosophy at a coaches conference the winter before his first spring. I personally took a lot from it and remember thinking that if he can get this going we will be very strong. Well, here we are.

    Couldn't watch the game (my team played a regional playoff game last night) but I remember the announcers talking about the walks the gators were handing out. I now see that number was 17. That many walks also brings a lot pipe shots because pitchers are trying not to fall behind or they need to get back into counts when they clearly don't have it. could have lead to the Home run explosion.

    the state were you can go 10-13 against in-sate opponents and still be state champs, I guess. (for reference bulls are 12-3 against in state opponents)

    Huge game by DJ, cant overstate how much him going 7 helped us moving forward and doing in style.

    Well, if that's the case, I question the decision to start him. Its just not the time in the schedule to plan on the bullpen getting through 12 outs when we need to win the final two weekend series. Especially considering how long the UF hitters can make those 12 outs. I think the starter has to go long even if he gets hit.

    Early runs will be key. I'd like to see Roberts go for at least 7, good, bad or ugly.

    would love for these numbers to come. The last time Strong coached in the AAC (2013), he had two linemen with at least 10 sacks and four defenders with at least 13 tackles for a loss. It's a given that Auggie Sanchez—South Florida's returning leader in tackles and sacks—is going to shine as a senior linebacker.     Yeah that does help but it still seems like a game to let the starter get beat around a little, considering its late in the year, its sandwiched between two conference series with another one following UCONN, and UCONN and UCF are both in the running for the top seed in the conference. I would rather just give the pen as much of the week to rest as possible.

    I want to beat the Gators, I really do. I just hope we don't gut the bullpen. A non-conference game is still the best time for extended rest late in the year.

    Yeah, we definitely are going to need some more road game wins (or good losses) to get any more respect. Those conference series are critical. Should be an exciting war on I4 series with a lot on the line
