I know and basketball coaches shouldn't face criticism for turning a nothing program into a perennial 20 win team, but its a crazy world we live in.

I think it really comes down to the number of DB's they wanted to see vs the number QB's.

I wasn't able to watch or listen as we played last night as well, but I got the same impression, just lost focus in the later innings and couldn't recover.

Its the most under valued pitch in baseball.

Just couldn’t get out of the seventh and you can’t give a team like Stetson extra outs.

Who do you think is the toughest team in the AAC?

I don't know if moving it would have changed much. Its not like our pro day was filled with potential first rounders.

I would need more clarification on what 40+ means. we talking 40-45 or 50- 55

We have a thread going in the baseball club about the guys at D1 baseball having us close to their top 25 as well. Another good week could see us getting in a few polls.

Houston, ECU and that school in Orlando seem to be our toughest competition. Wichita is pretty good as well, them and ECU will be a good series to keep and eye on this weekend.

Going to need the lineup to stay hot. We can jump on them quick and avoid the closer.

I think a win against Stetson and series win this weekend could do the trick.

D1 baseball takes live comments and questions about their rankings every week. This week I posed this question: How far out is South Florida from being ranked, and what have you guys thought about McClanahan thus far? Aaron Fitz of D1 baseball gave this response: Bulls are definitely close, after taking that series from UConn. They've played great baseball since dropping that series to UNC the first week. McClanahan is a rock star, although I can't believe he gave up some runs this weekend! I was starting to think he was going to last the whole season with a 0.00 ERA... another successful week could see the Bulls in the bottom of the D1 baseball rankings. What do you guys think?

Just a single thread for any weekly awards the player may receive. The first award this week goes to JD Dutka. His .500 ave included 4 XBHs, 6 Rs, and 3 RBIs.

This could be a blessing in disguise. I would rather have players that suit Gilbert's offense than Taggart's weapons.

Hopefully its not foreshadowing.

He may get some starts soon, but I like him, king, and Cruz in relief. Ragsdale has been good too.

Sullivan earned next weekend with today’s start. Glad to see him come through today.

Gotta love a team that grinds out a series win, especially when the ace/ struggles. Genord is a beast, a must watch batter right now.

Great start by Sullivan. If he can be a solid Sunday starter, we will be really tough to beat in any series.
