  1. Yeah, they said that a series win weekend would see us in the rankings as well
  2. I feel like there a vocal few who went crazy and a good amount of us saying NBD.
  3. i'm the opposite. I have to see it or I question everything. Not that I think the commentators are clueless, I just like to see it with my own eyes or i'm out.
  4. I actually like the no audio for the baseball games. The live feed with the statcast in the tabs works is great for me. But I feel like this might be off topic so....... Go bulls, yay spring game.
  5. I mean they have more seating but the overall experience is underwhelming. It took me a quarter just to find the play clock hiding in the bottom corner of the end zone.....It's just Busch league.
  6. Another weekend with a opening game beat down followed by two impressive wins for East Carolina. This team shows some resilience. Has East Carolina faced the two best opponents they will see in the AAC this year? Also, how important are the midweek games ECU has this month against Duke and NC State? Teddy Cahill: The American is so tough to figure out. I'm still not sure how good South Florida is and ECU still hasn't seen the league's top arms - Shane McClanahan, Tim Cate and Trey Cumbie. UCF and Wichita State may be the two best opponents in conference play, but that conference is so compact that I'm not comfortable saying that right now. The midweeks later this month are nice from an RPI standpoint, but ECU already ranks 10th in RPI, so it doesn't really need the help. In terms of hosting, the most important thing for ECU is to keep rolling in conference play and clearly establish itself as the American's best team. Baseball America
  7. Their IPF is a warehouse with no A/C, and the stadium is a glorified high school field.. Hard pass.

  10. I read it the first time thinking the team was up seven and bunted too. But this is the line that got me the most. They needed base runners and they were giving him first. What is he supposed to do?
  11. Hey guys, I know South Florida going 2-2 this week hurt their chances at getting in the top 25, but do you think they have the pitching depth to be successful in the AAC? Secondly, how does that conference stack up nationally. via · 2 minutes ago Aaron Fitt: USF was right in our mix for a Top 25 spot this week, and if they win that series at Houston next week, I have a strong feeling they'll be ranked. I was quite concerned about the pitching depth heading into the season, but Billy Mohl is doing a great job getting the most out of his staff, mixing and matching with a lot of different guys to piece the pitching together. So far, so good... ultimately I think they'll wind up in the middle of the AAC pack, but maybe I'm underselling them. I just have a high regard for that conference, I think ECU, Wichita, UCF, Houston, UConn and USF are all legitimate postseason-caliber clubs. That's going to be a free-for-all.
  12. They started the year at 24, right now they are unranked. Still a big series for us.
  13. If you have a shift on, there is absolutely no reason to be crying over someone bunting. None, its acceptable in any situation as long as the shift is on. If you don't like it, play the whole field. http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/23001797/minnesota-twins-upset-chance-sisco-baltimore-orioles-bunted-vs-shift-9th
  14. The ledger wrote this on a Lake Gibson graduate who was moved from tackle to center to compete with Brooks Larkin for the job. How is the O-line battles looking so far? I thought it was good he dropped a few pounds. Centers need to be able to move. “We have several position battles we’re looking at, not just quarterback,” Offensive Coordinator Sterlin Gilbert commented. “We have to find replacements in the offensive line and we need somebody to step up at running back." "While many of USF’s players used the offseason to bulk up, Wiggs actually trimmed a few pounds, going from 305 to 298." “Wiggs has gotten a lot better” Gilbert continued. “He had a good offseason.” “We need to find somebody there (center), somebody will have to step up,” Gilbert said. http://www.theledger.com/sports/20180401/lake-gibson-grad-fighting-for-chance-to-start-on-usf-o-line
  15. Great USF Week event. Its a great week overall, the Bull Stock event has a decent line up too, if you are into that style of music.
  16. Not a bad start by Sullivan, just couldn't string together efficient innings. Defense didn't help him much either.
  17. Should have been out of that inning with no damage.
  18. Ive heard it used to reference great hitting before. Can’t tell you when I first heard it but it goes back pretty far. It’s gained a lot popularity in recent years with the #pitcherswhorake slogan for pitchers like MadBum. Great win yesterday, I didn’t get to watch because of friends birthday celebration but I checked in periodically. How about Genord, he’s been on fire since he returned.
