  1. Sitting right behind the USF bench... that's what I saw too. The ones swaying were all of the ineligible players same, but I could have missed some of it.
  2. Won't be surprised, but I won't believe it until it's official.
  3. Yes, Thorpe has to sit out a year before he can play. If you look at the stats that cousins put up in their games in Spain, you would mistake him for his brother. Going up against national teams he was getting double digit points and rebounds and was a dominant force in the paint. Hopefully he can play this way during the season.
  4. Sorry, he's out for at least most of the year, he tore his acl or mcl last year and was projected to be out the year, hopefully it is healing faster and he can be back soon.
  5. If he didn't call the plays we would be 2-2, going into a fairly easy stretch
  6. We have a very young team, with a lot of talent that still is developing and growing together. Don't expect too much record wise this year, especially with our best scorer Holston out the whole year, but in the next couple of years this program will no doubt be a NCAA Tournament team.
  7. Really not trying to be a jerk, in all seriousness can you point to one thing that proves or shows that Taggart is a good head coach. Recruiting doesn't qualify... How does recruiting not count? He has brought in great talent, including Asiantii woullard who will be eligible next year, and his coordinators are all really good. Recruiting is the most important part of coaching in my opinion, as long as the coach lets his staff do their jobs, which he hasn't seemed to do which is the real problem.
  8. In no sense of the word did flowers play a bad game. He had one bad throw, which should have been a touchdown, but he proves that he can be accurate on short and intermediate passes. Also, on our final scoring drive when flowers scrambled for about 20 seconds before launching the ball downfield and got a pass interference call on the defense, bench would have been sacked right away or thrown a pick. Flowers is a play maker and Taggart has to let him throw the ball when the defense doesn't expect it. We did it only a couple times we had a receiver wide open down the field, twice price and once Adams.
  9. Taggart is a good head coach, but he isn't letting his offensive coordinators do their jobs and call the plays. If we had some decent play calling with more passing mixed in we could be a very good team.
  10. Here's my opinion on taggart. He has done a fantastic job in bringing talent onto this roster on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, and he has brought in good coordinators on both sides of the ball. His biggest issue is play calling, and that is a HUGE issue. He has a decent quarterback, who showed he could throw the ball decently at the end, but he doesn't let him throw it at all in the first three quarters. He keeps on pounding it up the middle, which worked early but then Memphis sold out on the run and it didn't work at all. This could easily be a winning football program if he gave up the play calling to one of the offensive coordinators who actually knows what he is doing. Also, their " High tempo offense" hasn't seemed to exist so far because it takes forever to call the plays, we are normally snapping the ball at 25 seconds.
  11. Our men's team is still growing and will be very good in a couple of years, but our women's team will be very exciting to watch, already in the top 25 and I don't see them losing to anybody but Uconn.
  12. Plus Bench had one rushing attempt against MD for 17 yards, the guy's not like he's in a wheel chair. He can run Did you see the run? He fumbled the snap and ran up the middle behind his running back though a wide open hole. Flowers would have gotten a touchdown if he had that hole. Flowers would have been sacked, again. Funny joke Truth... It's funny because it's true! It was a designed quarterback run, or at least it wasn't a pass, so there was no way he would have gotten sacked, and unlike bench flowers can handle bad snaps.

  15. Rowe is also way better than Bench, there really isn't a comparison there.
  16. Go back if you can to the FAMU game and you will see how the O play calling changes substantially with Bench in there. In fact in the drive Bench was thrown into yesterday the play calling changed quite a bit for one drive. As soon as QF was put back in it was more of the same. Its not bc the plays aren't in the playbook its because those are the plays QF is able to run which are limited unfortunately... Sounds like flowers handicaps the team. Bad coach is bad. To be honest I can see why QF got the nod though...he is dynamic in the back field and can extend plays in ways that SB can't. Unfortunately he just not at the point as a passer we need him at to win games. I understand what you are saying, but it's not flowers fault that the coaches limit the playbook for him, we have no clue if he can hit those passes if he never has a chance to throw them. We are not dominate enough up front to run down your throat regardless of how the other team lines up and as we have seen so far the D, which could be much improved, will still need help from the O. I understand what you are saying, but it's not his fault that the coaches won't call those passing plays for him, we have no clue if he can hit those passes if he never has a chance to throw them. There have been some calls but they are far and few between. Actually Flowers had one or two nice intermediate rope throws yesterday which had a little zip on them but he is just not consistent enough to make that part of his bread and butter yet, which I think we have seen even in game. I would say even his read option decisions have been questionable through out the game, so I really do think he just isn't there...YET. I am far from given up on QF and think he might develop into a dynamic run first QB with time. Legit question, do you think he has the stuff to win now, even if the coaches called more pass plays? I know during the FAMU game I wanted to leave QF in there a little longer to let him get in game pass reps but that did not happen. Against FSU I was hoping the run heavy O was in order to setup the pass plays in the second half and that never materialized. And as I posted before the MD game, even though we will not be playing better Ds than FSU per say, now that there is film on QF everyone will be ready for him and shut us down except for a couple big broken coverages...unfortunately against a bad MD team we were unable to captilize on the these moments and QF doesn't have the accuracy to give you many of these opportunties with his arm...YET. I hope the receivers are forced to catch ump-teen thousands balls until they are sore during the bye week. No rest for the wicked (wickedly bad)! I honestly do believe that quinton flowers has what it takes to win right now. He has shown that he can throw some accurate balls, like that drop by Adams and the 3 long touchdown passes so far to Johnson, but I feel like the coaches aren't confident in him and that makes him less confident as well. He holds back a lot and can hesitate on the long ball, but if the coaches told him just to go out there and not hold back in the passing game, I think he would make more big plays downfield. Well QF will have a chance to make his case during the bye week, hopefully he works hard and adds some plays to his repertoire ...if we see him start against Memphis it might be his final shot to make his statement as the starter. My feeling is QF has a strong arm (could be stronger than SB by the way), has some long ball touch, but that's about it at the moment. I just don't want to see what happened last year happen again with the quarterback situation.

  19. Personally I would say 2, but I would say that for any team really. Always better to have the ball in my opinion.
  20. Flowers can only hit wide open men because the only pass plays called for him are bubble screens and streaks down the field. If they gave him some more intermediate crossing routes, or rollout throws he would probably be a lot better passing. Bench has had 5 years to become a starter here and at penn state, and he hasn't earned anything. I think that should stand for itself.
  21. I personally believe that we can beat Baylor, and Louisville barely beat us last year in the tourney and we only lost one player off the bench. This year will be a very good one for them.
  22. Our men's team will be average, but they are young and will be great in a couple of years. Our women's team is already a top 25 team, and I think they could win out except for uconn.
  23. Watching that game as well, hopefully Furman can hold on to win.
  24. This is what he said in his press conference, I don't know how this could be taken in any other way
