  1. Does anyone know if Taggart makes players run for mistakes like coach Boone in remember the titans. Bad pass= run 1 mile, miss a block=run a mile, turnover= run 1 mile, drop a pass= run 1 mile
  2. The only 2 I'd use the rest of the season is bench or flowers and in the offseason change the entire offense including the staff and scheme. Why is it so hard for us to get a qb that can run the offense and score TDs instead of FGs
  3. I certainly don't speak for everyone, but my rationale for running Bench out there is simple. When has he ever gotten even a fraction of the support or reps that White gets week in and week out? I am 100% positive White is a terrible QB. Bench has given you the exact same production with a quarter of the reps and a coach who hasn't even marginally given him a shot. Can he really be worse with more playing time and practice? This. Give him the reps with the first team For some reason willie is not giving h a chance Something has blinded Taggart. His allegiance to White lacks explaination. ii can only think of 1 thing. The Houston game last year.
  4. Leavitt took it with him to the nfl along with the offense
  5. I blame the state of Usf athletics on one man. Doug Woulard he has destroyed everything lee Roy selmon and Jim leavitt have built. As fracas leavitt I doubt he would leave the nfl for us especially with genshaft around. We might as well shut down football and just play basketball. Lee Roy has to be balling his eyes out in heaven watching his baby die the way it has
  6. We can't fire willie until we pay off Holtz. But his seat should definitely get hotter after this performance. I'm hoping leavitt isn't watching us otherwise he's got to be puking his guts out. Genshaft might be gone if this keeps up
  7. If white starts again we revolt
  8. It looks like neither Holtz or Taggart know how to coach a team but Taggart is the better recruiter. Taggart has misplaced trust in white cause of the Houston game last year and can't see it was a fluke game with him. He doesn't have what it takes to be a starting college QB. He'd be better off as a 3rd string. Let Flowers finish the game so we can see if he can do a little better
  9. Defense is looking like Swiss cheese. So many holes a hs team could put 50 in them. Better bring some hear soon or get a new dc
  10. Attendance is really looking bad 17 minutes before kickoff. Let's hope is starts to look better by kickoff. Student section is about 1/3 full in the 100 section
  11. ECU has looked very impressive to me. That will be a tough one for us
  12. I'm thinking if White starts and has trouble Willie will go to Bench and possibly Flowers depending on the outcome. Flowers probably won't play until late in the 4th> This does bring me to a new question. Should we start Flowers next week against UCONN or just stick with White/Bench?
  13. As long as Taggart gets close to 6 wins he will have 2-3 more years to get the program winning again unless he goes 0-12 or 1-11 in year 2, 3 or 4
  14. Eh, I saw quite a few people posting this on facebook. So the word is getting around. The problem is, no one "gives a ****". USF students don't want to drive 20 minutes, sit in the heat, and watch an ok team with a terrible offense play football. This is not true at all. I do not have one friend on campus that is at USF as a chance to transfer to other schools. Most students love the school, like the area, but just don't see a reason to go watch a BORING game. I've been a fan for a while, so I'm out of the ordinary and I'll go no matter what. But for people that weren't fans before, they just don't care about the sports teams unless they're fun to watch. It might have changed since I was an undergrad then but when i was an undergrad i knew of a bunch of students that were only going to USF because they couldn't get into FSU or UF and were going to transfer. This was also before they upgraded a lot of things on campus so that might have changed some minds.
  15. That's awesome news. Gives Antigua a reliable PG for at least 2 years assuming he stays healthy
  16. Does anyone think we have a shot at him. He is a 4 star QB in the class of 2016 and has shown some interest in us but he also has FSU, UF, Miami, and other schools chasing him https://rivals.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/player-Xavier-Gaines-152191;_ylt=AvwL3dy8xN6HScgV0Xvwrm9GPZB4?colleges=show#college_choices
  17. Highly doubt he would come here if he did. He will probably stay at UCLA and sit on the bench before transferring to USF
  18. I think part of the problem with students is they are looking at USF as a transfer opportunity to FSU or UF and only care about those schools which I say why even go to USF if you only care about this schools. Go to HCC or a community college and use them and get the students in that truly care for USF.
  19. basketball should be back and better than ever by next year. This season we might not be real good but next year if Antigua can coach up the talent we should be at least a NIT team. The 4 things Antigua has to show this year are 1. better conditioning of the players 2. better outside shooting and an offense that doesn't just settle for jump shots. Attacking the rim and forcing the ref to call fouls will be huge for an offense to get better quick 3. holding players accountable for mistakes. This is one area heath didn't do a good job and it showed in a lot of games 4. He can coach a team and not just let one player do whatever they want without consequences. when a player does something right reward the player but when they mess up call them out on it and don't let things slide like heath did
