UNT has their newer stadium, and I think they've started to hit their stride in C-USA (doesn't hurt that the "good" teams left) http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/10546379/north-texas-gives-dan-mccarney-new-five-year-deal North Texas coach Dan McCarney has received a new five-year deal through 2018, sources told ESPN. McCarney's new deal will make him among the highest-paid coaches in Conference USA, a source said. McCarney made $545,300 last season, which ranked among the bottom half of C-USA coaches. Is Mike Canales still his OC or did he go to South Alabama or something? Either way, I can see him on the rise to getting a better job if he keeps it up at UNT. I know some Iowa fans who want him back whenever Ferentz hangs it up.
