I think that Chuck Amato was paying the ultimate compliment to the professional body of work compiled by Jim Leavitt and his coaching administration at USF by courting Lawrence Dawsey.

Moreover, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneer would have made an egregious error by acquiescing the beauty of Tampa Bay for the commuter gridlock of the Research Triangle Park.

It is a true testament to the manner in which Leavitt has been able to attract and retain a former NFL wide receiver (Lawrence Dawsey) and a former NCAA Division I-A intercollegiate football coach (Carl Franks) at USF.

I'm looking forward to the attainment of a coveted national championship for the Bulls as well.

I'm glad he is staying.  I previously posted that Dewayne Dixon would have been a good replacement but I am truly happy he is staying.  Read where Tennessee and NCS would be implicated in a "street agent" article soon to be published by SI.  I doubt that was a contributing factor as Coach Dawsey has repeatedly stated this was his home and he wanted to stay.
