Wright was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career. Stepping in for an injured Bilal Powell, Wright rushed for a career-high 98 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries to help the Cardinals to a 28-20 win at Syracuse. Williams, who was tabbed as BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week for the first time, had game and career highs of 11 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks to help USF to a 28-27 win against Rutgers. He later registered a sack on fourth down in USF territory as Rutgers threatened to score the go-ahead points in the final four minutes.
