Site Plans - Testing and Migration - Please READ!

Here is the plan ALL.

We have volunteers but not the sheer number we need.

On Monday night between 8-9 p.m. eastern we would like as many members and guests as possible to hit the new server.  It's only an hour, because we need critical mass.  DO NOT POST ANYTHING YOU WANT TO KEEP.  It is all just testing - this board will remain open for "real" posts.  But we want you to spend your time there doing every function imaginable.  Click like crazy - post, delete, read, modify, etc.  Velcro has moved backup files there, so don't get confused and think they are "keepers".

Monday, around 7 p.m. eastern,  we will disclose a URL that will take you to the new server.  It will be posted in this thread.

Please help us out, otherwise it could be an unfortunate conversion.

If all works out on Monday night, we will begin the migration of posts from this board on Wednesday morning.  This main board will be shut down temporarily beginning about 3:00 a.m. eastern Wednesday.  There will be a "maintenance mode" here and there until the new server is ready.  Velcro will start moving all files to the new server Wednesday morning.  As soon as he completes and verifies everything, TheBullsPen.com will re-open on Wednesday on the new server with the new URL.

Once we are up on the new URL, the "TheBullsPen.com" URL will be pointed to the new server.  In the meantime, you will need to use the new, interim URL - the same used for testing on Monday.

Please help us with this change.

Our committment to giving Bulls fans the best has not waned in over five years and we believe we are improving the product with this move.  Please do your best to help out.

After the test period, we would appreciate your feedback on this thread regarding any issues (slowness, failures, etc.).

Yup, you can copy and paste whatever the heck you want into messages, just keep posting on the new test site as much as possible during that time frame.  You can even post the letter 'A' 1000 times on one post, just keep replying over and over.  Anything goes... everything will be deleted from the site and replaced with this site's content, if all goes well.
