This a sad statement of the liability of coaching. These guys have to take players who were coddled and revered is most cases throughout there athletic careers. mold them into a considerably more disciplined lifestyle. responsible for grades, safety, and performance. I have seen this trend from Bobby Knight's style to most recently Mike Leach, If you dig deeper into each of these scenarios... these are coaches that are intense and WINNERS. and extremely passionate, I hated Leavett strictly from a rivalry standpoint, but always respected the guy, and the program he built. This is a terrible tarnish on a legacy that should have stood for a long time. Leavett will land another job guaranteed, maybe another up and comer, maybe an established team, but if there is any justice, Bulls fans (Leavett haters) will have to see him on the other side of the field, hopefully in a bowl game. Thats all there is to say. He couldnt control his team anymore, unfortunately you saw the result of when you cant control your team. This was going to happen now or later. The sooner the better for the future of our program. Noone takes away what he has done here. We just understand he isnt the man for the job anymore.
