He is a very egotistical guy who will like the deal to happen but under his terms. I hope the thing happens but would be very surprised if it is done by Hicks deadline

Manny is the only one of the bunch that might not be affected as he knows its all about business and money and doesn't take anything personally, whereas Nomar's feelings are hurt and A-Rod is not gonna be happy in Texas playing for the worst team in the league. He will put up his typical numbers and have his usual errors on the bases and his lapses of concentration in the OF. The funny thing to me about Manny is that when he makes a decent play in the OF I get excited where as when most players do it it just seems natural. When Manny screws up a play you say oh well we knew that would happen anyway. Nomar is hurt now and will not resign with Sox so they need to move him and get something in return. The sox offered him 15 million a year and he turned it down during the season. Now the Sox are offering 12 million so he is feeling neglected in many ways by Beantown. I think he also realizes now that Boston fans dont have the same love for him that they have had for Ted, Yaz, Fisk, Lynn, Rice, even Mo Vaughn. I guess not taking to the media and not performing in the playoffs this year have not helped him. Arod on other hand will perform where ever he plays but I would bet that his teamates may not be so nice to him and he may have some clubhose issues as he is basically calling his team a bunch of losers that he does not want to play with. I think he will have the worst time with it.
