He's an excellent student.Macaluso is a great story. He came here -- somebody told me that he wasn't really D1 material -- and worked hard to improve himself. He was good enough to scare off two good middle infielders who went to Georgia and Florida Atlantic who saw a lot of bench time in their futures.Koch was a fall signee but was probably going juco anyway. A lot of times, the pros will talk signees into changing their minds with the notion that they'll get drafted in a year or two...For example, Robert Coello, who reneged last year to go to Okaloosa-Walton.
