Will all the coaching and player defections finally bring down the Patriots?

Law's deal could be worth $28.5M over first three years

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. -- Ty Law stood on the sidelines with his Jets helmet in his right hand, and watched intently as his new teammates practiced.

Once a member of one of New York's biggest rivals, Law appeared right at home in his new green and white Jets uniform.

bring down, no, not win super bowl?  well of course that could have happened with or without these players/coaches.  I still think they'll make the AFC championship game, then who knows.

well, not winning the superbowl might be due to losing players, or just bad luck, or just the difficulty in three-peating period.  The odds were stacked even without losing those players.   Its easy to say, if they don't win the SB, it was due to losing those players, but there is more to it than that.

I'm thinking the coaching losses will be just as important as the loss of players.....

I agree, and perhaps even more so than the players.  We won the superbowl without Ty Law this last year.  He would have helped, but it shows how important good coaching is.

I think Mangini will do fine on defense, but can Bellichek take over for Weis????  BB is a defensive specialist... can he run an efficient offence on his own?  if he can, it just shows how brilliant he really is!

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
